Asher Tesser, All Torah Project Manager, joins our EVP and COO, Rabbi Dr. Josh Joseph, on the Oh, You? podcast to reflect on the ripple effect of one platform — and how it helped spark a growing Torah learning community. He shares how a message from a 13-year-old helped turn a five-minute-a-day idea into All Mishnah Junior, reaching students across 30 schools. So you started when it was just All Daf, right?
All Daf was, I think, 8 months old, and they were
already like working on an All Parsha concept but
it wasn't built. And so you've helped launch All
Parsha and what else? All Mishna, All Halacha,
All Mishna Jr., All Siyum. So, All Mishna Jr.,
you had a particular hand in developing the
idea, right? So we were launching All Mishna.
Just to backtrack, we put out a video when All
Daf turned a year old. We said, "Send us how
All Daf changed your life." And we got this
text from a kid named Charlie Breda. He says,
"Hi, I'm 13 years old. I've been learning with
Rabbi Lebowitz," I believe, "and I give a Daf
Yomi shuir to a bunch of my friends." Then,
when Mishna Yomi was launching, I was like,
"It's 5 minutes a day. Not that complicated
to do. Why don't we get kids involved in it?"
So I reached out to Charlie. I was like, "How
about we bring this to your school?" He's like,
"Why just my school? Let's bring it to all of
my friends' schools." Then, the first year,
I think it was nine schools. Now, Rabbi Avracen,
Meir Avracen, took it over and blew it up. It's
30 schools, I believe. Amazing. It started with
one. Yeah. And now 30 schools. Pretty amazing.
