Can you bring a package into your home on Shabbat?

Are you allowed to bring in packages on  Shabbat? Even though packages may have   been brought from outside the techum,  the Shabbat boundary, this does not   make them muktzah. They're only muktzah if the  contents of the package are muktzah. Therefore,   if the contents are non-muktzah and the package  is brought somewhere that it's permitted to carry,   then it may be moved. If a package contains  both muktzah and non-muktzah items,   the more valuable item determines the  status of the package. If the contents   of the package are muktzah and there's  a threat of theft, then it may be moved   inside using one's feet. As always, consult  your own rabbi for guidance in this matter.
