As we approach Rosh Hashanah, how can we shift our focus from “I” to “we”?

Our CEO Rabbi Dr. Josh Joseph reminds us that we’re not just individuals, but also part of a much larger community. As we daven for the year ahead, we should look beyond ourselves and include our families, our communities, and all of Am Yisrael in our tefillot.❤️

There's a tension as we head to Rosh
Hashanah. On the one hand, some nervousness,
insecurity. What's going to be with this new
year? What did I do this past year? How can I
get better? On the other hand, there's a joy, a
sense of an opportunity to get closer to Hashem,
to get closer to our purpose. Picture
two waves. One is heading into shore,
feeling it's about to crash. The other
feeling it's part of an ocean. This year,
as we approach Rosh Hashanah, we don't
just think of the "ani," the "me," the
"I," focused on davening for myself. It's
a larger "I." It's my family, my community,
my people. Let's take the opportunity this year
to be the other wave. Part of a larger ocean,
part of a larger "ani," a larger "I." Incorporate
all of us in our tefillah for a better future.
