Those who feel in their very bones that they're feeling that righteous indignation, that holy unyielding fury of King David, who could not and would not tolerate the humiliation of Israel, the David who thundered, "Who is this uncircumcised Philistine who dares to mock the armies of the living God of Israel?" These words spoken by Schm's avengers and echoed by David are not merely historical. They're diagnostic. They reveal who we have been and who we are becoming and who we need to become.
