[Music] Shalom everyone this is Katz and you're listening to the soul of Israel on the land of Israel that common land of Israel common network it's been a few weeks a lot of traveling a lot of holidays a lot of preparation but alas we are back and I'm joined with my dear dear soul brother Rabbi Ari Abramowitz to show them a nice and good morning to your brother you've been traveling you've been you've been overseas but I'm gonna we conquer the world yeah you know I was just thinking yesterday as I was journaling at night which I've been starting to do going over the day and the level of impact that the kabura had yesterday morning for me was so powerful and it's because I mean I'm sure was also because I was gone for a month and it's sometimes when you leave and you're exiled you know when you come back you are so much more appreciative and it's so much more pi was like a little microcosm of taste of like sometimes when I don't know why I ended up in America and then in Ashkelon and drivers-ed for a foley this is crazy you know and then I and then I came back to the Kerberos so you're you tasted like - you know what we felt after 2,000 years of Exile and returning back home and getting a taste of what it means to appreciate what um and we felt the same broken shell and dearest friends were right before pain stopped right before this holiday that brings out the absolute best in us and possibly also the worst in us as we lead up to a pizza in terms of preparation in terms of the nerve the anxiety where am I going to be for Seder who's gonna be at Seder well I have something to say well I like the Seder white person that's with me I pay stuff does he keep the same kind of cocoa sheis stuff that I do in a little bit and I want for a few brief moments to remember something very simple and very important to carry us through our pizza and really even from the moment you hear this so you're sitting at your Seder table Hashem wants to make peace ahead of us like we always say about Shabbos and the holidays and important times it's not that we get through them but that they get through us like we spoke about this I believe during Purim I'm certain we also mentioned this regard around the time of Hanukkah as well when it comes to sanika it's not that we want to get through the night through the lights and make sure that we light every night but we want to make sure that those lights get through to us an important we want to make sure that that an incredibly deep upside-down world of simcha makes it way through our soul paisa we learned something very beautiful this week Pesach God wants to do the same thing he wants to make that make us what's called Pesach ditka which means like you say Shabbos dick is this Chavez dick is this is Shia the Shabbos is relevant to Shabbos am i relevant the pace of his pace is irrelevant to me what does that mean go back to the simple meaning of the word Pesach what does Pesach mean the Passover to jump over leave the Sowa and the Torah says leave so on rightly Fasulo means to jump over this means to Passover right now literally the Passover 66 I missed that day of kindergarten oh well no what did you think pay something I thought it was sacrifice all that that - it is the pace Elsa but what's the sum of the word itself also pair sock that's already playing out yeah that's what we usually do but sometimes you only like read the parsha commentary so the bullets read the passion the pasha itself through the word pencil pass after him I jumped over you that's the shot of the words so what does this mean that we should become a silica even so I saw one of this farm I forget in whose name it was I think I picked a dick named the in real time where he says that God wants us to have pace of become part of our lives for the rest of the year what does that mean that we by experiencing the love by reenacting currently we're going deep into the story of pizza we remember that God gave us the ability to also jump over to jump over anything that stands in the way of us and that which is meaningful to us in our life to jump over any hurdle any stumbling block that stands between me and knowing and the knowledge and feeling that Hashem chose me and loves me that's what it means Hoopa softly under him I made you into people that are able to pass over to pass over judgment to pass over self / self persecution to pass over anything any of the illusions they really seem like Mountains and yet the ability to jump over and who knows about jumping over it stumbling blocks more than us Jewish people anybody in the world map beat'em but when we hear the voice and it's a voice of love well well I forget there's a great song about her then le jour bright ear for an le jour le i justö sure he has a great song about that about a cross and the river is jumping over mountains to Hashem um this is a very beautiful moment to go into the pursue and share share him in the song of songs which we read on Pesach where we say cold OD he nays it but when I hear the voice of my beloved I hear it coming middle egg al harem makup it's a hug vote which literally means to be skipping over mountains to be jumping over hilltops when you feel love and you know that it's rain you go for that but what's wrong with us usually when why don't we why do we let the stumbling blocks and the hurdle hurdles really get to us is because we doubt the voice of love say tonight is a night where we give over to our children the ability to hear the voice of love and do not doubt it and to invite it into our hearts and souls so that for the rest of the year we could jump over anything absolutely anything that stands in our way mama anything the gates are open say tonight exactly four events I've been to a few weddings this week it's a lot people get married around now because it's right before the time of severe at the Homer where we refrain from weddings for a few weeks until Lag Ba'Omer until the 33rd day in the omer and it used to bother me when someone would say to a hot pan and call out to a bride and groom you know life gets tough you need to get to you know buckle up and stay close to each other because I always felt like you know why does it have to be tough for people like maybe for them it won't be as tough as it's been for you in your life like why are you giving over your own massage head of painting and trouble telling a fresh new bride and groom we're excited it's gonna be rough don't go there but this week I had a really deeply profound new appreciation for that telling someone that there's gonna be hurdles doesn't mean that you're telling them you're gonna fall it actually tells them they're gonna be hurdles but your love your love is stronger to jump over anything and I was experiencing those kind of statements this week rep truly realizing that today's today's generation we are basically even we are we have win it with innocent inability somehow to stand in front of massive mountains of tests and jump over them yeah I feel like at this point in history it's like Kitana Lena which means it's small for a mama like it's my mom through so much as a people and even if we said yeah but I was just born in 1979 I haven't no as a collective it's in it's burnt into our collective anima all the way back we are the collective experiences of our ancestors are a part of us correct and that's all pace of us doing is showing you who you already are who you've already become maybe perhaps I don't know four hundred and fifty six hundred years ago when people sat around the Seder table but they didn't have this like you know recognition they didn't really see themselves as Pesach hidden they were more like one day lashana ABBA like we end the Seder one day I'll be a person that can jump over hurdles but today the way we really live the Haggadah is that we reminded this is this was my grandfather this is my father but this is also me the ability look at me look at my life look what I look what I've become are you I wish everyone could see where we're sitting right now where are we wherever we're dwelling right now on I'm on the side of a mountaintop in the Judean Hills that became ours because of jumping over massive mountains of tests it's where we physically are and it's where we're spiritually are as well so friends just to end off by mana let you know that in the surah Kadosh in the Holies are the quintessential book of Jewish mysticism Pisa has a name the night of Seder has a name it's called the night of Mohinder God Lutz the night of expansive mindset moah smokiness intellect and God loot Godot expansiveness brain say tonight is not the night to be petty say tonight is not the night to worry about small things it's not even like to worry about anything say tonight is the night of showing up and to have a heart that's wide open to receive whatever is happening what ever that's a free person to receive whatever is going on there a lot of classic tales about reveries that would come home from sure before a seder and in order to just get over the the hurdle of like you know spilling or not spilling they were just spill they were just spill on the table and I know how much their wives were in the way we're thinking you but they would just because they just let's not be slaves to absence to anything as I think a lot of people there's a catch-22 when you start preparing for Pesach far ahead and you have this Torah and this insight and all of these thing and then you come together with family who doesn't necessarily is not necessarily interested or they're distracted children and maybe you so people have a lot of different expectations and ideas going into it and I think it causes a lot of frustration correct and the point is to really reduce of of expectations only expectation you have is to expect to be present because it's a night of expansive intellect expansive mindset and a constraint a contracted mindset I can only work with what I planned already and probably assumed would happen but say tonight we know there are certain words that might jump out to you from the Haggadah that you weren't prepared for it all and your hearts been waiting to hear in a real way for many many years the way to really prepare is to really remember that we are jumping we are jumping over whatever our expectations of life were we're jumping over everything that stands in the way of being able to feel and please God that way we become what's called an yudish pace Attica which which means we have relevance to pace and pace of has relevance to us so with saying all that and blessing you all and blessing myself back I'm blessing all our families please God open the door Vallejo and avi in stay there nights that he's gonna come and tell us the good news we've been waiting for he's gonna come and tell us no need to jump over mountains anymore you've jumped over enough mountains you've jumped over enough hurdles you've been through enough tests there are too many widows that are going to the Seder table this year here in Israel the three widows that are going to the Seder table 3 fresh widows last three months with approximately 17 orphans but their fathers were murdered on the streets of his room we've been through enough tests I'm finally coming here to tell you know chef coulumb I'm a beta now everybody's coming home and together we will jump but base on main - - even the current basis please God flex MF everybody water [Music] Israel's a thriving democracy in
