Jacob, Esau & the Secret to Sanctifying the World | The Land of Israel Network

The entire premise of Jacob taking Esau's blessing is why did Rebecca do that? Because she saw that Esau would not be able to elevate and sanctify the material world. Only Jacob would be able to do that. And so she he needed to get that blessing. He says that if your brother Jacob does not fulfill his role, you can throw off his yoke. If the entire premise is that we can sanctify the physical and material world and then I look around the world and there's millions of Jews still in America despite all the writing on the wall. And so the grievance of Esau and Ishmael is legitimate as long as we don't sanctify God's name by returning to his land. Because as the prophets say that the nations will say, "How strong can be the God of Israel that his people is scattered around the worlds." That's a desecration of his name. And we'll only really merit his blessing when we leave the lands of the diaspora and come back to the land of Israel and shine the light of God to the world. [music]
