I feel like Memorial Day in these years,
especially after October 7th, as war is
going on right now, it really cuts deep
now. I mean, every Israeli feels it.
Everyone knows someone. And then when we
finally celebrate our independence, it's
like, "Whoa, we're in the middle of a
war. This really counts now." It really
feels like everything it becomes more
alive. So, if you just have Yom
HaZikaron, and you feel the pain, and
you see all around you there's mothers
that lost their children, wives that
lost their husbands, husbands that lost
their wives. The the brokenness is
beyond It's hard to even be able to to
to live beyond that. It's so
devastating. But, then it goes right
into say, "What's it for?"
Yom Ha'atzmaut is the answer to that
question. What is it for? It's for this,
for us to be able to live as the nation
of Israel in the land of Israel for the
God of Israel to shine a light to all of
humanity in the world. And that's what
it's for. It wasn't for nothing. It was
for this.
