I mean, we're about to launch right now
into the next book in the Prophets in
the talk in our new series, The Prophets
of Israel daily, the book of Samuel. And
the book of Samuel, it's the book that
introduces the kingdom of Israel. We're
introduced to the first king of Israel,
Saul, and of course then to King David.
And as we've been learning, the stories
of the Prophets of Israel, they're not
just biblical history, they're prophecy.
And why are they recorded in the Navi?
It's because they're teaching us a story
that's relevant for our generation.
That's why they're in the books of the
Prophets of Israel. But what does that
really mean that the story of this of
King Saul and King David are prophecy?
And so,
what it means is that in the end of
days, in our days,
there going to be two stages, like two
kings. There will be two types of rule
and leadership in the land, two phases
in Israel's development. And in some
Jewish writings, they'll call it two
epochs of Mashiach ben Yosef and
Mashiach ben David, the Messiah the son
of Joseph and the Messiah the son of
David. And that idea is rooted in the
stories of the Prophets of Israel. King
Saul from the tribe of Benjamin, the
brother of Joseph, the son of Rachel,
and the King David from the tribe of
Judah. That's the template. And what
that means is that Israel's leadership
today, that's leadership up until now,
has been the leadership of Saul. And
soon, a new leader was going to arise. A
new leadership is going to take over and
it's going to represent the leadership
of King David. And there's so much to
learn and so many parallels between
Saul's leadership and the modern state
of Israel and how we see it. But if you
want to go deeper into that prophecy,
you got to have to sign up to the
Prophets of Israel daily. But what I
think that it's important to recognize,
and what not many people talk about, is
the reality that is in Israel. And
especially if we're living on the seam
between these two kingdoms, between
these two phases in history, then we're
living in the transition and it's
important to prepare ourselves, because
the transition between Saul and David
wasn't smooth. King Saul threatened
David, and even though David was so
loyal and never did anything to seize
power from Saul, Saul saw David and he
just knew that he was a threat to his
rule. Saul did not want to let go of the
leadership. Saul attacked David, tried
to stop him, hold him down from rising
up. And what's happening now? Jerusalem
Day.
I felt that.
And it's in perfect timing, right before
Jerusalem Day, right before Shavuot of
King David's birthday, a news article
came across Israel. And I'll show you
the headlines in English in the
Jerusalem Post. And it is a story that
an IDF soldier was sentenced to prison
for wearing a patch of the Messiah on
his shoulder.
That's not an anti-Christian thing. That
is a Jew that says, "I am here fighting
for Mashiach." And that ended him up in
prison.
And so, an Israeli soldier was sentenced
to prison cuz he wore a patch on his
shoulder that said Mashiach? I mean, I
couldn't believe it. And then I saw
articles about it all over the local
press. And the chief of staff, the head
officer of the IDF, saw the soldier
wearing the patch, and the whole scandal
began. And so, I mean, is it a
coincidence that this drama happened
right before Jerusalem Day and right as
we're about to celebrate liberating the
Old City and the Temple Mount? And the
week we're celebrating King David's
birthday on Shavuot? I mean, and the
soldier could not be more loyal,
couldn't be more patriotic to the State
of Israel. He'd just gone through two
rounds of duty in Lebanon. He's the one
being attacked by the State of Israel
that he's defending. I mean, it
literally is the story of Saul and
David. And, you know, as a general rule,
as a voice from the land of Israel, I
really only want to talk about the good
news from Israel. I want to be like
Joshua and Caleb. I want to bring a good
report. 99% of the time, people only
hear about the wars, the terror, the
lies that people spread about Israel. I
want to talk about the great things God
is doing in Israel. But here in the
fellowship, I want it to be real. And
usually, I just want people to love
Israel, but here in our fellowship, I
want to talk about the things on a
deeper level. There are layers in
Israel, and there's a spiritual process
that's unfolding in the nation right
now, and that process may be confusing
for people that are outside. But this
fellowship, you're on the inner circle,
and our conversation always has to go
deeper. And it's not just like, are you
pro-Israel or are you pro-Hamas? It's
like, the reality is there is a
spiritual battle raging within Israel
itself. And although that's a message
that might confuse the public outside of
Israel, it's critical to understand the
reality as it's unfolding in Israel. And
so, Saul attacked David, and now the
Israeli leadership, on the eve of
Jerusalem Day, has taken a soldier and
put him in prison for wearing a patch
that says Mashiach on it. On Jerusalem
Day,
this graphic was sent out all around the
country.
And of course, it's a soldier with a
picture of the temple, and right above
it, it says the word Mashiach. And that
was sent all the way
viral all around the country. And that
really sums it up. I mean, there's the
first stage of Israel, the current
leadership, that's literally jailing
soldiers for wearing a Mashiach patch,
and there's the final stage of Israel
that's emerging from among the people.
And King David, I mean, he's the one
that conquered Jerusalem. He prepared
the Temple Mount. He prepared the way
for his son Solomon to build the temple.
That's the essential difference between
these two phases. Saul had no interest
in building the temple. He his focus was
on security and prosperity. And today,
like Saul, Israel's leadership is
entirely focused on security and
prosperity. And King David's national
celebration was bringing the Ark of the
Covenant to Jerusalem.
And for me,
the fact that King David's birthday, the
day that his soul left the world was on
Shavuot,
it's very telling. And I want to dive
deeper into that today.
But it's just remarkable that as Israel
is celebrating what we're celebrating,
the idea of Patch prison story breaks
out, and it's just so obvious that
everything physical in Israel is a
reflection of something spiritual that's
happening. Hey, that was a highlight

Fellowship. If you liked that highlight,
