The Yeshiva Fund Event - Full Coverage

I have to thank my wife and you know he really uh when when asked me to that this is a possibility he said okay you want to ask your wife and I pretended like I had to ask her I really hoped that she was going to say yes I didn't even need to ask I have to think that because something like this is is really a dream a dream come true today is actually my birthday and my mother she used to curl the craziest birthday bodies to me every single year. And then I started getting a little bit more religious and you know my English birthday I kind of like disconnected from my English birthday a little bit but Rabbi Sai once told me that the the guy said he could celebrate English birthday also but uh today actually I looked it up it's my Hebrew birthday also. So my mother knew she gave me a you know today only you can't have this by myself. I know no one came here to hear me speak. So, I'm just going to say a few words um and then I'll turn it over to the professionals. My father, the summer is one of Hashem's greatest gifts. The days are longer. The weather is beautiful. Families spend more time together. Everything Hashem created is an expression of his kindness. But our rabbis, especially Rabbi Safi, they teach us that the summer brings unique spiritual challenges. We we stop preparing for the summer like sukot. We leave our regular routines. We we're exposed to more distractions and the is constantly pulling us in different directions. Tells us something very humbling. without Hashem's help we cannot overcome the so the question becomes how do we merit the help of Hashem tells us a person is led in the path that he wishes to go on with Hashem's help a person travels in the direction he truly wants to go up. I think that's exactly what supporting an organization like this accomplishes. When we hear the words saving lives, we usually think about saving the goof, saving the bodies. And of course, that's invaluable. But the of a Jew is an is an organization that brings a boy closer to Torah, closer to closer to Hashem is literally saving Jewish souls. I had a zud of speaking to the Rosh Shiva for few minutes last week and that's what the message was was that this event is so important. We're saving lives. That's what he said. So it it really hit me. When we invest in a mission, we're telling Hashem something about ourselves. We're saying that our deepest is that Jewish should become closer to Hashem. Without further ado, the There's a good person. My father Kadosh to be in this house is a very very special opportunity for me personally being that I know Jack's family for many many years. I was privileged to meet Jack when my dear uncle got married to Jack's sister. And I remember at the time Jack was larger than life. He was the superstar baseball player. He still is, they say. They're not just wanting to give, but to have something in his house to support something like this, which I'll tell you guys right now, it's a hundred times easier to write the check than to host something. The amount of nerves I did it once I said never again. Yeah. Who's going to come? Are they going to come? I have to invite am I going to raise? And to do that shows his dedication to Torah projects, especially one as important as this. tells us the popular definition is anyone who saves a life from the Jewish nation. It's as if he saved the whole world. But there's a few in the not the over here that we have to pay attention to. First of all, the wording nephesh. Nephesh doesn't refer to the body. Neesh refers to something much deeper. It's not just the person's life. But it's much more than his life. It's his eternity. It's what he will be forever and ever. It's not just pulling someone out of a pool and saving their life, which is also great. But it's giving them a life. It's giving them the this unbelievable fund the yeshiva fund which when I ask who doesn't like to be mentioned but we have to mention his nepheshare is royalty he comes from royalty he doesn't have to be doing this I'm sure he can be very comfortable having a job having a shell as they today and BMG Kava he could be wherever he wants I'm sure in the world but he decided to take upon himself this project to save young Jewish men that no one else will get to other than this program right I do and this is a program that really transcends I have enough things that I have to raise money for. This is not something that all of a sudden everyone says we need to raise money. We we would love something to have some sort of uh program or initiative to raise money for. We're here for one reason because this program is not just life saving. It's more than that. It's namot forever and ever. I want you to consider the following. Imagine a young man grew up in a religious house, has the foundation, but with all of the turbulence of the world that we live in, it starts to get pulled away. And now you have a confused young man. In today's day and age, there's nothing more dangerous than a confused young man. Nothing more dangerous. There's so many outlets for them to get lost in. And unfortunately, there's not enough out there to help these young men. What this program does is unbelievable. It doesn't just save them. If you look at the words, it says it's not just saving them. It's keeps them going from beginning to end. There's a short list over here that has been put all over. Nightly learning. a nightly learning program. This is something that is you would think there's a hund of them. There's not for people that are in this situation very little therapy. How many of these young men need therapy in order to get married and build a family to have a mentor allowance, tuition assistance, everything they need, he puts them in yeshiva and pays for their tuition or helps out at least. Some of these families can't help. They can't pay. If that's not enough, Shabbat program takes care of them on Shabbat. gives them meals, brings them to a hotel, gives them time to air out and to find themselves, a sona experience, parenting coaching. They deal with the parents and then travel expenses. It's unbelievable. It's not just saving the guy and now you're back on your own. Go get more, go figure it out. We saved you. On to the next statistic. This is a project that invests in every single boy, takes them from beginning until where they need to be. And just to look at this brochure, 60 boys, 18 Yeshiv. You look at the budget. I got a lot of kizoo from the budget. 2024, $350,000. 2025, $581,000. You know what that number tells me? That someone is very midback on every dollar. It's not just let's round it off 600,000. 581,000 the dollar and now $640,000 for this year 2026. Every dollar that goes to this initiative is building a family that will be forever and ever. You know what it means? A full world. I had close to a decade ago my grandfather's 90th birthday. Give him a long life. And I remember I was in the room with it felt like a hundred people. felt like the amount of people that were there all descendants from one man, one man was someone guided and put him on his path and helped him build the Torah. One person was able to build all that with Hashem's help. every single boy that's saved. You're taking a boy from Shalom, gambling, drugs, the worst things. And all of a sudden, you're going to see a beautiful family picture in 50 years from now with 100 grandchildren and great grandchildren. All because of RNA's program over here saving these kids. And therefore, we come in tonight to do our part. When a person gives to something like this, he's literally helping continue the chain of Kalisah. And the fact that the Roshiva came all the way from Lakewood, I don't know if we know what the value for us. A half hour is a half hour. An hour is an hour. For the Rosh Shiva, an hour is like it's like a chapter in one of the is going to write. Every minute is precious. and the fact that he's coming here and I know Jack mentioned to me that said how can I not come we have to save lives that's what's going on over here tonight so again I know there's a lot of things going on I know there's a lot of different beautiful programs out there beautiful initiatives but tonight is an opportunity that I don't know if you'll have coming for forward again not too many of these exist opportunity to take a boy that would be lost and put him on his defeated in every way, shape or form. So, let's do our best to make it worth the effort. Raber is doing his part. I don't even know how he raised this much money. It's a lot harder than Lakewood. He has to come to Lawrence Avenue, walk around. He has to come to Brooklyn and try to figure it out. I was went went through dinner. One of my friends was out of dinner. I saw there was a big sign 20,000 told me that 20,000 alumni went through the Israel in America. And there was yeshiva of that yeshiva the one that founded yeshiva was his name was a famous person but not many worked in kov he he saved many many people and my uncle had yeshiva in heights it was called yeshiv and the shillas came from Europe they didn't have any money they were very poor and they wanted to send their children to yeshiva And he said, "Okay, I'll take them." He didn't take a tuition from them. They say one stipulation. He has one tonight. All of the boys have to go to Yeshiva. You can't have one boy going to a public school and the rest of the boys go to Yeshiva. All of the boys have to come to Yeshiva. So they told him, "Rabbi Silva, we're willing to send all of our boys. You don't have a placement. It just she was starting out. You don't have a class for him right that was not the sh you don't have a class he said you know he's in the higher class you don't have classroom so my uncle said it said I'll make a classman I heard this story from you with many many good things he was he was next in the line after and he told me this story his father was very involved in the achiev And he says, "My son, you don't have a classroom." So my uncle said, "I'll make a class B." And he said, "His brother was in that class." He made a class B. And I put these two stories together. 20,000 told me that what would be if they wouldn't my uncle would have made a wouldn't have taken care of this boy would let him go to public school. What would be of him? He would be a boy. He wouldn't he wouldn't be a would never have made 20,000 them. And that's what Dne is doing. He's taking boys from families they don't have a father. I know boy, he doesn't have a father. His father passed away and he was his mother was a laguna for many many years. And the boy he came to me this before this man and he said I want to tell you the boy wasn't learning at all was had no learning. He says got him to learn sent him to yeshiva and yeshiva said that he never in all of his 30 years he has 30 years he never saw a boy that is so intense in learning and he accomplished so much he never had such a boy that's why boy I finished the whole I learned the whole I'm only one a young boy he He finished the whole sa and he comes to me told him a boy was on the street a boy street boy he came to with his smile he took him in and that's what he's learning his his his brother well he has an older brother that teaches but the families he had no father take care of him nobody takes care of this boy was a street boy on the streets about him and put him in yeshiva and that's the result the flood is the boy doesn't stop yearning he catches very old. I've almost finished the whole I'm missing only one as we told in the beginning of this probably finished it already and it's not only one boy many many boys need for everything but people don't want to take those boys into yeshiva you he says well to go to yeshiva they want to go to yeshiva because yeshiva doesn't want to take such kind of boys in yeshiva well pulls them up he puts tries to pull him in. I had sometimes to get the boys in me to get the boys tim boys tisha and I I'm sometimes in the car with I get a call few a few few weeks ago boy calls him up I want to I want to get married I'm going on a date I have no suits I have no suit to wear the boys come from very poor families they didn't have the father I didn't give any money they have a suit to go out. I have to have have to be presentable. Says, "Don't worry, I'll take care of it." He gets them suits. Not only does he pay for tuitions, not only does it give boys spending money, but the boys need some of them need suits. They don't have a suit to wear. Today, he gives them a suit. As we said before, he saves lives that will boys. Boys that didn't have today, they're the best boys in they and all types of boys. Like we said before, Ash has found it. But all all kinds of boys whoever wants to he finds them and learns with them. It's not to believe what he does with these boys. I don't think anybody else can do it, but he does. And he lets he lets me have a little bit of a to help him out. And and thank also Ezra and Ezra and he's a friendly are very very active and they help him. It's I was in last night for some reason I was in the emergency room whatever and I was looking there and I see names Syrian names and community people help out the ER and M's medical center. I started thinking there's the emergency room for the gulf and there's the emergency room for the nishaba has an emergency room for the nishaba. It's way more important than emergency room for the gulf. These guys that were falling apart they they they lost lost. You know what lost means? They just gave up on life and they're coming back and some of them are not fully there yet. And he's an Amish the life. He's the ventilator for them for their show. And you don't realize one move can change eternity for them. I just felt like I had to say, "Well, you guys have an opportunity. It's not a joke to invest a few dollars. It's not so much. You give a little bit. Give a little more than you thought you were going to give. You're contributing to emergency. It's Everyone loves the ambulance. Everyone loves donating defibrills. This is the biggest aiulator you could donate. Nothing more than this. It's because the next world is much more important. This world is eternal. My brother, he saved a lot of people's lives. When he comes out, you see, wow, unbelievable. You can do that also on a higher level. Imagine a guy that was dead did resuscitation. You brought him back. You got a pulse. He's getting pulses every day. With a few dollars, you could become part of this forever.
