What if the only what if that we worried
about was the what if that could
actually change our life? There's three
common what if scenarios that usually
come up. The first one is the
past-oriented what if. What if I would
have made different choices? What if I
would have done something differently?
What if I hadn't done what I'd done?
What would my life be like? We love
playing that game. The problem is
there's nothing we can do to change that
anymore. Unless we're looking at the
past to learn from our mistakes, this is
a pointless what if game to play.
The second what if is the future what
if. What if this happens? What if this
goes wrong? What if this scenario
happens? The problem with that what if
game is we have no idea what's going to
be. We can't predict the future, most of
us anyway. So again, why are we playing
that game? All it does is discourage us
from following our dreams, discouraging
us from doing what we really want to do.
But there's one what if that could
actually change your life, and that is
what if I decided right now to be the
best I can be. What if I decided right
now that it doesn't matter what happened
in the past, that doesn't matter what
lies ahead in the future, I am going to
go max. What if I'm going to go at 100%
capacity?
How would my life change right now?
That is the what if we should be asking.
