Prosecutor vs. Defense: Why Lawyers Defend GUILTY Clients

When you're a prosecutor, you only focus on the victims and then you know, when you're defense attorney you see the other >> It's part of the business. Yeah. Now, did you ever defend somebody that you thought inside that you that he's guilty? I mean, if I didn't if I had never represented a guilty client before then either I was very inexperienced or very naive. Delusional, [laughter] yeah. I mean, it happens all the time. Right. Um I would have no clients if I only represented innocent people. >> Right. Um but the reality is is that I'm a professional. I have a role. Um the prosecutor has a role, the judge has a role and my job is to zealously advocate for my client Correct. regardless of the circumstances. That is my job, that is my role.
