The Story of Israel - Happy Independence Day 🇮🇱

Independence Day is celebrated on the 5th of Iyar. At the time of the declaration, there were only about 650,000 Jews living in the land of Israel. And afterwards, large waves of immigration arrived. Millions of Jews from all corners of the world, many of them Holocaust survivors or refugees. The state was established through great miracles, but also out of a complex reality that included attempts by the surrounding nations to fight against the state of Israel. A small nation among 70 wolves. In every generation, they rise up against us to destroy us. And the Holy One, blessed be He, saves us from their hands. We have been privileged to return to our land after 2,000 years of exile, to build and to settle it. It is important to give thanks to God in prayer, to strengthen our faith, and to understand that we are still in the middle of the journey. The main work is faith, prayer, and strengthening ourselves as our sages taught us. The land of Israel is merited through the Torah of Israel. And when we understand that these things are interconnected, we will be able to rejoice in the flourishing of Judaism in the Holy Land. Over the years on this day, the Baba Barav of one day was established, founded by the Rebbe of Kaliv. Many Jews gather for a series of lessons from morning until night to study, to strengthen themselves, and above all, to give thanks in a Jewish way to God for the privilege of living in the land of Israel and walking upon the holy soil.
