what I really loved about this project
was that usually by other projects I'm
limited to this limited that don't do
this don't do that so I asked for so
what am i limited to what should i do
what should i do I don't know because a
lot of shows they have a lot of
limitations so Burke told me with these
words tell me mocchi take your
creativity and go nuts I was really
excited I was I was like I was able to
create a borse create a doctor's
galovski I was able to make us so he
with a beard with a debate all types of
things that I tried to implement
different characters it was just so so
much fun I was able to make a gaga by
somebody selling nuts every detail like
putting on pie it's taking off quiets my
camera there was there was a lot of fun
and of course we had challenges as well
like besides all the interesting faces
so to speak we had I had to like be able
to portray the morale in a certain
manner like I couldn't make him Justin
he wasn't just another face I try to
imagine tomorrow how he would look like
and how how I could bring the firm
morale down to us like the little people
you know years later what do we know
what do we understand who the model was
so that was quite a challenge so I was
like it was like Aten maybe even 9
months before they started filming the
skull of a genius and bar called me up
with this excitement
hey Moshe I had this project
I I needed to be involved in this
project it's all about like I think he
told me that he believes that with the
right to makeup and costumes this could
be the the thing I was very curious
about he was talking about because he
has experience with a lot exciting stuff
and I was very very excited to work with
him and he sent me the script I looked
through the script and I III was like
whoa no this is like a whole new level
of entertainment but Wow and it's just
like I had to have to like just like I
thought it's a dream I was like this is
this was like the matter now with with
us go getting a kid with I'm dr. Scholl
offski and oh like okay that's a project
now let me see so so I started
researching about the era and about the
history with a matter how and so after
all the research I did with about the
error and about the morale and about the
whole situation that was going on there
a lot of kitchen was going on there in
those days it was a very interesting
fascinating information I started
breaking down by the all the actors how
they should look like I started
envisioning how it could bring out the
character with a makeup and the costumes
because once you see the actor on a
movie within a few minutes he should
find out you should figure out right
away who this character is and what
they're all about
so I had this idea for Sophie that he
was a he had a burnt face it wasn't in
the story he had a print face and it was
covered up with a beard so he had this
idea that he was like this weird
interesting guy that wants to like blend
in so to speak and he was with Porsche
so worse was like this nice guy he comes
across very nice and polite but really
he has this evil part in him so we car
kind of like with a this nice blotchy
face but it was like a little more than
just blush he was more like a bloody
block brush wasn't a bloody brush more
like a bloody texture of a blush and
that brought out his cheeks it's just
angry cheeks and he had this bump on his
head and this that just added added some
character Tim and moving on to of course
dr. skull of skis
don't need to say more the name and the
makeup says it all
there was a lot of work we put in before
the shoot and add the shoot we worked
for three hours I have to brush I'm a
good team with me and we work together
that should only take three hours
otherwise we'll take away longer and
that brought out this whole character
the idea of a galovski and made him look
more like the deeper eyes and the
creases and everything it just gave the
the right finish you know the the teeth
when he gave this first smile yeah that
was the that was a good one that was a
good one moving on to the crag a bi was
a one type of character that was very
interesting to sketch up was really
really that was a lot of fun and the
motto had his whole soul is like you you
have this personality that it was a very
very kind guy but it was a very he was a
real high spiritual leader so you had to
have like this mix between the next
thing that was a little tricky was the
two fibers green mounds now you have
this yeah so you have this board so that
he is technically five-ish green Bell
and he has a certain look and then he
have like two weeks later yeah but
another five agreement that shows up so
they kinda have to both have to look
like five ish Green Domino
but one has to look like the fake one
and but not to fake of course and then
you have the real fabric streamer that
has to show up and he is like this rich
fibrous green gown so we had we had this
concept with after a lot of sketching
and back and forth and with ideas we had
this idea that Bursa should have like
this darker beard that it's also gonna
bring out his like dark side personality
and the other fibers green about the
real one is gonna have this white not a
white beard but it's like a grayish
weight like it's brighter and rounder
it's more I'm fighting friendlier the
round the the brighter beard and they're
round like the whole look that you were
you are able to connect with both that
they work they are both technically
fibers green value but you were there
was very easy to differentiate between
the real one and the fake one when I got
to the shoot the first day we were very
excited it was very exciting got to meet
all the actors and the staff and the
crew it's amazing how we all work
together it was very well coordinated it
was the first day and everybody got that
shoot it was a very exciting a very
exciting day was a huge milestone like
from the from starting to sketch till
like the months and months of
preparation was like eight months of
preparation and designing and
coordinating and putting everything
together it's like there was amazing to
see it happen like finally we're here
we're here so the first thing was
actually a little complicated because we
had there was the morale scene it was a
lot the shul scene and we had a lot of
people to make up now we had to work on
a very fast pace but but how shall we we
pulled it off somehow going to the Lake
George for two days shooting and filming
and the beautiful magnificent Castle how
specious when I
so and the scenes over there was like so
I'm so happy it's mom she after the
smile that we found this place I don't
know where birth finds everything and
we're how he does everything but I don't
know I think he has this magic wand and
things just happened but no you can see
that when somebody's like in to doing
you know like off to you pea this guy
Shem helps out they saw there's so many
things that could go wrong
he's so much the other sham that
whenever we had a situation which it
happens especially on shoots it's rain
or I don't know what things just show up
you see much - yeah - and when you do
you mind your weight when you're sick
with sockets if a bad manner Hashem is
there just fit help out his mama dear
another thing that I really loved about
this whole project was you know like we
were all emotionally involved
it wasn't like just I came one day and I
laughed and whatever was just it was
more you know like my family came along
to like Georgia shoot just to be there
to help out another thing that I really
loved about this whole project everybody
was fully involved not just we didn't
just come and go and whatever okay I did
my part let me go home well it's just
more it was we were like really involved
emotionally and physically our families
you know my family came to - my family
came to the Lake George shoot and then
embarks family showed up to that and
everybody's like every shoot had it had
different families there was just
exciting really we got to meet each
other and I figured out that Burke's
wife and my wife have the same birthday
because we were on set that day instead
of going out restaurant
I guess because let's not talk about it
and and Jenna generally like you then
finish it didn't finish like we finished
the last shoot then but we didn't finish
which we're still friends
we're very we became very close friends
like family friends and we're looking
forward to many more projects together
