majority of the people who come to our institutes are older people the both the ladies seminary and the men's ceremony are for older people that in their 40s the 50s 60s 70s it's never too late we have a student she's a 79 year old woman unbelievable to see a 79 year old woman wanting to better herself refine herself and she doesn't say okay i'm old so it's a lost case so this is really why we came down to this world to refine myself now if i'm not humble enough to accept where i need to refine myself then i'm never going to do it so really our purpose is to refine my character traits to refine my my thoughts my speech my actions and when i became observant that was the the agenda not to if i'm wearing a black suit or a blue suit or a big yamaka a small yamaka for three years i didn't even wear yamaka i didn't want to feel that i'm pretending that i'm observant i wasn't even observing why would i wear a yamaka when i'm going to walk in the street with a yamaka and i'm not even observant so my agenda was to refine myself once i get to a place where i feel that i'm refined enough then i can take on myself many more things to do so really when i bump into different topics in the torah the torah is unbelievable wisdom and depth that you can't even imagine the more deeper you go the more you find this beauty and unbelievable wisdom of the creator that most people not even scratching the surface and the more you go deeper into the torah you more you understand that this is really the the true wisdom people you tell them a word torah they imagine a shul and a lot of mitzvot and i have to dress a certain way and i can't drive on shabbat and it's hard life and all these restrictions and the way it's not about that the torah is way more magical than that way more magical all the wisdoms in the world they have a friend now that is really searching himself and i don't know how he found himself in india he doesn't even like indian food he just found himself in india and now he's following the dalai lama and he sends me all these weird quotes you know you know you know what they have them on facebook everybody send them on jabba they get like 500 what's ups every egg of shabbat with all these weird designs flowers shabbat shalom and i'm like so so he sends me all these also these little weird things all these one liners and i'm like these are all our one-liners from our sages from our torah you think the dalai lama invented it i'm going to have anything against him i'm sure he's a nice guy but i said you think he's in he invented it he probably opened the maga he learned a little bit and he comes up with all these one-liners so the torah is unbelievable wealth and wisdom that unfortunately the pr of the torah is not that great and it doesn't look so appealing so a lot of people get turned off by the torah because it looks too much too demanding and too restricting really the torah is the tool to allow you to see the the great wonders of the universe so any time that i run into a a topic that not only is deep and beautiful but it actually causes you to change that's what pulls me because i like getting a lot of tools how can i become a better person if i live in a certain place in my life that i'm not looking to change that's a whole different ballgame and that's not where you want to find yourself if you think that you're okay i'm not so i'm saying it to hurt anybody but if you think you're okay you're not okay because we constantly have to refine ourselves and grow and to become better i'm not trying to hurt anybody but we you can't be satisfied with where you are we constantly want to get tools how can i become a much better person a better husband a better better kid a better sibling a better boss whatever it is and leads to a better jew so this is how the topic came about i usually learn different topics and i don't necessarily teach them i know a lot of people follow follow me online the the teachings online is basic stuff and they're nice and interesting but a lot of the topics that i learned for myself is is not to necessarily to teach a lot of people they they don't understand to give one hour class you i'm one of them what did i come to this world to see dancing cats on facebook all sorts of nonsense so what is the essence of of this world and what is the purpose of the world now comes another greater question is am i walking on the right path you know that most people they're on the wrong highway and they're on the highway to nowhere and they don't understand why things don't work out in their life because you're on the wrong highway i remember when i first came to new york about 20 years ago i one time went on a train now i'm looking at the maps all these colors red blue yellow you know the subways i had to figure that out i went on the wrong train i ended up somewhere in the bronx and i'm sitting and waiting there like waiting waiting for my ears for my stuff and like why is this stuff not coming i mean it's kind of getting they're changing colors on the train what's going on here maybe i'm in the in the wrong country already the train was like an hour and a half i end up in the last stop somewhere in the middle of bronx and i was like i think okay i think i went on the wrong train so most people are on the wrong highway they're going to a completely different direction and either they're in such a a low spiritual place that they don't even notice they're on the wrong highway they just don't realize why things don't work in their life and they don't attribute it to the fact that on the wrong path but most people they're not on the right path and one needs to ask themselves am i on the right path and the right path is not necessarily what you've dreamed of the entire life or what your mom told you since you were four you're going to be a doctor so maybe you're not supposed to be that of course comes uh another big question is am i really fulfilling and and i am applying my destination in this world my existence you think that hashem just happened to create you everybody has a purpose in this world seven billion people on this planet and every person has a purpose in this world and the question you need to ask yourself pretty often is am i fulfilling the mission of what i'm supposed to be doing here now if you don't have answers to these last three questions then the situation is not so good you need to have answers to these situations to these questions now and if you don't ask yourself this question that's also not another good thing you have to constantly ask yourself hey what is my purpose in this world and b my i am on the right track you can call i call it the highway but am i on the right path and also if i'm fulfilling what i'm supposed to do in this world now when i when i know all these answers then i also know what i need to do to make me a better person this is another question that one can ask do i know myself good enough to be able to refine myself some people they they don't know they think they know themselves and a lot of times actually you'll see tonight and when i do read different things in the name some of the times it's on the money and the person is just shocked this is unbelievable and sometimes they tell people some things they're like that's not me i'm like wow talk about denial i mean that is you so no no no no me cheap no no so so you know you need to know you need to know yourself and if you don't know yourself that's another problem i always look myself in the morning it's still sometimes like wow look at that beard so now now now something even worse you know i would go with a big yamaka because i'm getting bald the other day i took a haircut my kids are like bottles says this is holy air they'll buy that because it's hot everything goes so i i this guy was like taking notes it's like what are you i'm planning on opening like a shop here i'll read your name twenty dollars you're gonna bring name reading he's like wow that's a good idea so i told you it is a good idea just open a little store in the place where they drop all the tourists take twenty dollars a name rating fifty dollars you make a lot of money you'll end up i told them and on the way out just sell them some pictures some letters whatever you'll make like two thousand dollars a day grandfather or whatever and we started talking i was like wouldn't it be cool to know who's my great grandfather i mean i know my grandfather and i i met my great-grandmother but not more than that maybe three four generations above that i wonder who's my great-grandfather or my great-grandmother so wouldn't you want to know who who's the ten generations above you maybe some big sadiq or i don't know a big hero so we were talking about and i was like you know what i would want to i would want to something even greater wouldn't you want to know who your soul is to you know where you come from the name the child naming is not being interfered with parents now the parents come naming after your uncle naming after this car the first car that i bought and whatever it is the parents have to name the child with no pressure have to look at the child needless to say that the parent wants to refine themselves that this heavenly voice will be even more clear because you are actually giving the child the name that is imprinted on the soul and if shalom then the name the child is getting the wrong name that will affect the person and you see many many times that the person is either very sick or some type of a tragedy or a problem and they add then add a letter to the name add a name it's not good to remove a name you don't really remove a name maybe remove a letter but in many cases people are on the death bed you add a name or you add a letter and sometimes it's it's a when a person is hanging between life and death makes a huge difference and sometimes the name is the wrong if you are a programmer then you understand what's going on there if you're not a programmer if you're going to see now a computer program just a bunch of letters and symbols and you know it's like gibberish you don't understand anything but a programmer a coder can look at it and they say oh i understand what that this line will make this function this line will make that function the exact same way that's how kadosh both who created the world compare hashem to anything was a programmer and he took letters and he put them together like a code and ta-da a beautiful world so these letters that we're going to concentrate on each letter is a tool is a vessel i call it a tool because a vessel is a harder word to relate with but really you want to build something now you have a carpenter a small container if you have something big you put in a big container whatever it is these letters look at them right now as little containers and every letter contains in it a certain energy now the kabbalistic term to it is called chefa chef is in abundance we'll call it energy because we can relate with it although even that we can really relate because what is energy can somebody define what energy is sometimes you're saying oh i have so much energy today what do you mean where you bought energy what's energy a lot of people question and they wanna they think that something from this world can actually give you energy this is a a a whole fraud you know you think you get energy from an energy bar or from anything else from the electricity company if you take a dead person now and give him an energy bar will you have energy no the energy comes from the soul doesn't come from anywhere else now sometimes this you have to feed the body with food that the body can start digesting and turn it into some type of energy but really the energy comes from the soul and the only energy you get is coming from a spiritual place now how can you define the energy it's very very difficult to define what type of energy do you are you running on i find that the way to kind of compare energy to something that we can relate with then compare it to a mood sometimes you wake up in the morning you're in a good mood sometimes you wake up in the morning you're not in a good mood sometimes you're in a very high mood you're very happy sometimes you're in a very angry mood aggressive mood sand mood whatever it is so we'll compare it for a second even though it has nothing to do with it compare types of energy to kind of like a mood sometimes the energy is very high sometimes the energy is very low sometimes the energy is you're very productive sometimes the energy you're very not productive but nevertheless when he wants to inject life into this world it's injected through this energy and it has to be contained through different containers and these containers these are words that i'm using it's not the actual terms of that the term is a cli clea is a vessel and the vessel is able to hold a certain energy in it and the letters are the vessels that hold the energy every letter contains in it a certain energy now the beauty here is if you take two letters and you merge them now the energy is a brand new energy and the easiest way to kind of understand it is how many colors do you think there are in the universe infinite right common wednesday i'll tell you how switching letters originally there was only 28 letters now it started multiplying and multiplying and multiplying our sages with ten speeches the world was created hashem spoke ten speeches and he that book sheds all the the lights in that territory we have once a month a class if you follow us online then i'm sure you know that once a month there's a class about the power of the month where i kind of dissect a little bit the the character traits of the month and what the month means so that information comes from that book from sephiroth so the book of israel explains that every letter holds in it a certain energy and the in the letter the energy that's kind of like running in it kind of like if you imagine like an atom how it's turning around in speed three channels of energy is running in the in the letter one of them is how you pronounce the letter or whatever it is this is one channel how the energy is being contained in the letter now every letter of course has a different sound even though some of the letters will might sound the same because kaf and kufu sound the same but nevertheless they're not so one of the chat one of the channels is how the letter sounds the other one is the shape of the letter and this is again another whole course in itself is dissecting the shape of the letter because technically all the letters the color combination of other letters if you're looking at a hay so in a hey there's a raise there's a valve there's a youth and many other letters if you really look at them closely you'll see that they contain even more click another button opens another page but what would you see if you hypothetically would remove the screen what would you see you wouldn't see anything but technically you would see the code that now at a building how they build it they make a foundation they make like a i don't know how you call it necessarily in english i think they call the skeleton like the the frame of the building and then start building in the the walls now it's a little bit popular that they do the walls with exposed brick but if you're looking at the wall remember here you see the walls or the plain walls when you're looking at a wall how many bricks are in there thousands of bricks now can you put the bricks from the tenth row up no you have to start with the first row and then the second row and then the
