personal experience i don't know if this
is an objective truth but in my personal
experience it's during those times
where i've experienced the distress

constraints during those times that it's

eyes to see the opportunities that are
all around us
when all that we saw before was just the
world closing in on us

this critical idea was was hinted to in
the very first words of the torah
portion i guess we're having one of
those weeks where we don't get past the
first verse okay welcome to judy welcome

we are the portion begins as you can see
with the words ella ma
israel
these are the journeys of the jewish
people
these are the journeys of the children
of israel well as you can see on this
slide can you see on the slide right now
the first letters of each of these four
words is the first letter of one of the
four exiles of the jewish people that
were to come
right rome persia babylon and the syrian
greece
and to me you know that do we see
and to me the message there is very
clear
at that moment as the nation of israel
was looking back at the snakes and the
scorpions and the thirst and all of the
various constraints that can find them
they were now able to see that
every one of them was a springboard for
growth and refinement that was necessary
for them to enter the land of israel and
and so too in our final salvation
really i think where we are right now
our final liberation when mashiach comes
we'll be able to look back at the
horrors and the pain of those four
exiles
and we'll be able to see that it's the
same thing
that they too were critical stops on our
journey to redemption
and those that were that knew the
secrets of this truth may have even been
able to in some way feel that redemption
while experiencing those exiles
right each of these exiles however
terrible they were was necessary for us
to grow in exactly the way we needed to
grow to become the nation we needed to
be to be worthy of mashiach
and and worthy of of the building of the
third temple
and so here we are here we are together
right right now we're together and i
believe i think you believe too that
we're standing on the precipice of
exactly that redemption and while we're
not there yet
we are still in a state of of mourning
and grief that the temple is not yet
built and god's name is still being
desecrated
in the world
right but the light of mashiach is
starting to shine
i think we we all see its glow and we
feel its warmth maybe not all the time
right but if you're in this fellowship i
i can't imagine that you haven't felt it
not even for a moment

journeys and all the snakes and the
scorpions and all the fear and the

we would not have been able to arrive at
