chuttan welcome to practical
spirituality here in the old city of
Jerusalem in Asia tour overlooking the
Western Wall today we're going to talk
about some of the most important
foundations of of life and reality and
perhaps debunk certain misconceptions
that people wind up stuck in and so I
think what we'll do is we're gonna take
it in six steps anyone who's heard a lot
of my classes might have heard these six
steps but let's see if we can take a
little further today and the first step
is that before there was something there
was nothing we're just using text
messaging here when saving Asia tours
Inc that's my way of donating today so
the before there was something there was
nothing and this is something that's
universally held whether into religion
whether you're into physics science
before there was something there was
nothing now this is very uncomfortable
for scientists because if there was
really nothing then there should never
been anything because nothing makes
nothing so there should never been
anything and so that makes things very
uncomfortable and then comes theories
and that's why every almost every large
University has a department called
theoretical physics theoretical physics
and that's a lot of fun there sometimes
I wonder if those guys are on
psychedelics or something cuz they're
they're really creative theoretical
physicists are really creative guys and
they're usually hippies but they but
I've met a few over the years and I've
had a few in this class and we've had
really some great conversations with
them and what is their job their jumps
to theorize because nothing makes
nothing and since so there obviously has
to be something other than nothing here
comes the theories of what must have
made this place now we don't believe in
any of those theories necessarily I mean
it could be though hid it but
they probably won't because we believe
we've hit it and what is it it's exactly
what the atheists say and we've
discussed this yesterday ends and what
the atheists say and what the Jews say
is the same thing is that it's nothing
it actually is nothing like really
nothing not like the physicists say that
it must be something we're gonna figure
it out or at least accept all kinds of
money from grants and stuff to say we're
gonna figure it out and you can imagine
that the atheists have a very strong not
all atheist but some would really want
the physicist to figure out something
out there but I would tell the atheist
not to try to figure out what's out
there because they are they already got
the answer the answer is it's not
there's nothing out there and that's
great because that's what Judaism says
it's Judaism nay theist we get along we
say the same thing that before there was
something there was nothing now the
obviously it's very problematic to say
it's nothing because nothing makes
nothing and that's why we call it God
and that's why they have theories but it
makes them a lot more sense to say it's
God why does it makes more sense says
God then just start coming up with
random theories like staring at your
belly button on big grants and
university theories why would you why
would why is it better to say it's God I
don't mean better for you it's
definitely better for you who meant you
know our whole if we really went with
the pure you know that there is no God
then it's not just that it was nothing
but but it's nothing and no God meaning
it's just it's just something that we
have yet to discover then our entire
civilization would literally unravel and
fall apart and half the people would
probably wind up depressed and suicidal
because it always devolves pure atheism
always devolves to nihilism always
develops anyone know what I'm talking
about everyone felt that feeling of
emptiness and meaninglessness the walls
not nihilism when segments come to you
in a second but the issue of that
meaninglessness that
Dean is in the nihilism that leads to
suicides and and and can lead to
resentment of society and that
resentment of the suffering people go
through and to start finding victims of
meaning meeting were the victims of
someone who's the perpetrator then you
start pointing fingers at some
patriarchy or God knows what you're
gonna point your fingers at and the next
thing you know people are getting killed
sometimes by the government but
sometimes by some kid with a gun in a
high school but you know once you go
into nihilism and things unravel real
quick
hopefully they only kill themselves and
I don't want anyone killing themself but
the you know and I'm thinking I'm
batting a thousand I've stopped
no I don't even know how many suicides
but I've got a perfect track record so
far preventing anyone that gave any
suicide that got to me was prevent which
is not that many as a couple year four
five six year so so the anyway but it
lead in but the whole fabric of society
cuz we don't realize yet everyone's
walking around with wrong and right and
it's keeping the fabric of society
together it's not unraveling because of
this sense of wrong right now
atheists also have to deal with wrong
awright what are they gonna say about
that inner voice that compass inside of
all humanity that does not exist in
primates primates will rip each other to
shreds primates have no mercy when
there's territory at stake or or
hierarchy battles they will they will
tear a tribe of monkeys limb from limb
and viciously you know all of you think
monkeys are cute yeah they're cute
behind bars maybe in cages that's that's
where their cuteness ends and those kids
are there for a reason they wouldn't be
giving you up bear hugs for sure so so
the human beings have this conscience
and that's very hard for an atheist to
grapple with but nevertheless it's there
and what is it doing there and where to
come from and and why does everyone have
it now the the actual
with where I'm looking for the the
conscience the the material that the
conscience of uses the criterias the the
words gone but meaning where however you
were educated might be different than
how she was educated in there for you
but you both have the conscience you
understand you'll have maybe to
conscience about different things and
then there's like super massive OCD
conscience of people who are in the
ultra-orthodox world because I mean you
imagine like feeling bad about like
drinking that water without a blessing
maybe but you imagine feeling bad about
it that you didn't wash your hands six
times this morning
maybe or if you imagine spending your
whole day feeling bad about the fact
that you miss sanction ah by 9:30 4:00
this morning you read you feel bad about
that
so it's like conscience on steroids and
not to mention you can't speak disparage
something about anyone and and the rules
are quite strict and what's called
disparaging and so maybe they're just
good but there's detail after detail to
detail and you can understand the
atheist by the way because they want to
get rid of con you except you can as
much as Hitler said that conscience is a
Jewish invention and he's come to rid
the world of of the what he called the
false vision of conscience and morality
those were his words quote unquote
Hitler came to do that but the crazy
thing is why did he try to do that
because he thought it was the right
thing to do what's what's back
conscience he was actually trying to do
something good for the world get rid of
conscience cuz he felt on his conscience
that conscience is bad it was insane I
mean the guy obviously he seemed to have
a pretty high IQ but he blew that one
that's for sure you know because to go
out of your way that much to do
something obviously means you have a
conscience know his conscience
what's that no not at all you go to on
you watch who's the famous atheist that
I always forget his name what
sam harris is sam Harris's variant happy
there's conscience and he can't just you
can't explain why there's conscience
that's where he stumbles is because how
do you explain it it's not doesn't make
any sense evolutionary it in
evolutionary terms the conscience is
anti evolutionary
meaning you'll wind up giving all your
stuff away just because you feel so good
when you give it away and now you have
nothing not very evolutionary
evolutionarily beneficial well they're
in evolution the prime prime me the
primary theory is is that there's
something called a survival the fittest
and so you the more you have the more
ability you have to survive and the more
you give which is you know the jewish
way is like how could I possibly give
away everything I've got you know like
like that's that's we think about oh
yeah
that's that too but the but the thing is
is that people are hell-bent on letting
go of what would make them survive best
because in the animal kingdom survival
comes from reproduction you know that's
the genetic side and then you've got the
survival which is from having you know
if you're a lion it's good to have big
giant you know canine teeth and if
you're in good claws and if your bare
claws are helpful and strong jaw if
you're a human being a big fat bank
account it's pretty nice and and you
know a nice home with some security
cameras and your own ability to survive
every animal human every animal forget
DNA every that's a part of reproduction
every human every animal is specifically
designed according the evolutionists for
its survival that's the teeth that's the
claws
the muscles it's everything and human
beings we have the ability to survive
but we tend towards feeling better about
our lives which is back to conscience
feeling better about our lives when
we're givers yeah you could say it's
society beneficial and there are a lot
of animals that will take a hit for the
tribe then then there's there's hits
you'd want to take there our sacrifice
you want to make for the betterment of
it and the survival of the whole
community yeah on that level you have it
there you have a good survival technique
and that's to be a giver it helps the
tribe in general what's that selfish
it's in your self-interest maybe I get
to meet a lot of really generous people
who I think are almost crazy but but
like I'm talking about like like there's
one guy who's there's one guy who goes
to whom on every year wealthy guy who's
like hell-bent on feeding like yeah you
just what he needs to feed like 20,000
people and there's much more money the
biggest party maybe on the earth is a
Jewish party believe it or not though I
don't know any party bigger than it it's
called LACMA Omer and you have you know
seven eight hundred thousand people who
all kind of take this pilgrimage to this
tomb of the author of the of the Zohar
of the Kabbalah and you cannot spend
money there everything's free and people
are just like you literally get off your
bus and someone's like cold-drink you
know and you'll find you come back six
hours later get back on the bus there he
is there he is
spinners hold a cold drink tray of cold
cold drink cold drink called you so I
mean I get to meet people like this a
lot and some of our dear friends of mine
but the
spiritually you could even get as bad as
some Buddhist monk a celibate Buddhist
monk and and that's what happens if you
really follow the soul which is the
source of the conscience the soul is the
source of the conscience that it's a yak
and action would you like me to Wow how
do we prove that the soul is the source
of the conscience so human beings by the
way there's many definition of soul for
example I canna milles in Judaism we say
have a certain soul but we're talking
about specifically here the human soul
the one that gets you to be able to talk
because you notice any animal that
doesn't have the human soul cannot talk
it might be able to be like a parrot you
know like that kind of talk but but no
they're not going to be expressing
themselves and the human beings which
are called in Hebrew mid bear because
they're the inanimate is domain
vegetables so math animals are high
humans are called mid bear why because
of the soul the soul is how you're able
to actually put together speech now we
have this entire kingdom of plant animal
and humans are they're only beings that
have conscience no other beings have
conscience now there's some pretty
advanced features of beings like I just
saw an article that a dog has waited now
for four years where its owner dropped
him off
I guess the owner must have died in a
crash afterwards forgot his dog there no
dog hasn't left now for four years
people just come and feed it they're
still waiting for its owner there's a
story in Africa where a girl was left
behind by her tribe and a lion came and
sat next to her until they found her sat
for like days just guarding her until
the tribe came back so and we know other
stories of people were lost in the wilds
when they were infants or you know very
young toddlers and were raised by a pack
of wolves and stuff like that they
obviously found no threat by that
particular thing and something clicked
in or you could just say God did it you
know but because gods in control of such
things
anyway we so the gods in control of such
things that's fine keep doing it so one
of the ways we know the gods in control
of things is the okay but I'll just say
quickly is that the that the it says in
the Torah that something that no human
being would have ever written which is
already segwaying to the Torah being
divine and that is that human beings
that whoever wrote the Torah obviously
can control the minds of men and animals
if he chooses to and because we see that
were commanded three pilgrimages a year
and which means that no one's allowed to
guard the borders you're not allowed to
leave soldiers anywhere near the borders
of Israel they're all to come to
Jerusalem every able-bodied man must
come the women came to but but you know
if they just had a baby they don't have
to men have to even if they just had a
baby and they meaning if their wives
just had a baby and they and anyway the
Torah says that the hearts of the
enemies of Israel and the people who
hated us in those generations will not
covet your land when you come to
Jerusalem on the pilgrimages so who ever
offered the book has control over the
hearts of the enemies now get back
getting back to the soul human beings
are the only beings with what's that it
doesn't matter we're just a minute you
would never author such a book and use
it as what would depict be the a
societal this the societal laws like
it's a law it's not like a nice thing to
do to visit Jerusalem you come or if you
look on the tour it says it's death
penalty it's a spiritual death it's not
a based in it's not a court death but
the guy's gonna die if he doesn't come
to Jerusalem so what is because you
can't directly link to
God or soul control in consciousness
you're just saying that
sure lucky me sure locking in st. there
there's no other way
that's not their exercise that sir
venture I was I was on a separate
subject than you stolen consciousness I
was on the subject just of God being
able to control the hearts of men or
animals I mean animals be a hell of a
lot easier controlling the man and you
see that God clear whoever authored the
turret has the ability to control the
hearts of people and that's an event in
history the gun control meaning the man
can you point me to a 37 there is I
would be you'd be hard-pressed first of
all the the pilgrimage festivals in the
whole first temple period did take place
and the men all did come here and they
did not guard the borders but that would
be hard to that be hard to prove there
are many cases many many cases where God
controls the hearts and minds of people
in New York on October whatever but to
prove it without the guy having a
thought meaning for the guy he's
controlling to still feel like he has
free will I've had my free will taken
personally many many many times many
times for example this year's someone
neat this year someone needed me
desperately and did not know how to
reach me and it was dire urges and I got
this crazy idea in my mind that that I
need to go to a specific store that I
would normally not even go to but I felt
like I had to go to the store and pick
up whenever I had to pick up but the
thing is I know that stores closed right
then but I just had totally amnesia of
that cross town go to the store of
course it's closed it's been it had been
closed for two hours this wasn't like it
was closing
Hiddink was two hours and I myself know
it's hours so I go to the store I see
it's closed I'm like what in the world
am i doing out here guess we'll figure
it out and I literally turn around
someone right there
like God sent you to me right now and it
happens over and over and over again
I'll give you another one I had a I had
a person who was unstable who was doing
my seminar which I don't allow people
are unstable do my seminar but I made an
exception with this particular present
because of the ascent and his emotional
instability was such that then I could
keep an eye hit him during the seminar
and he'd be ok and there's a whole
waiver to sign and everything but he did
not pass the test to be able to do the
seminar but nevertheless he passed my
private interview with him to come to
this work that I I do with people anyway
what had happened we canceled the
seminar for that day it was when the
seminar used to be an hour a day we
canceled the seminar day this guy was
the only person coming from out of
Jerusalem and all the rest of the group
I was gonna see them in the morning so I
saw the group in the morning I couldn't
reach the guy it was pre cellphones we
didn't have cell phones at the time I
couldn't reach him I just felt so bad
for him and I knew it was gonna the the
seminars built to destabilize you the
whole point is to destabilize you so
that maybe you could create a stable you
that's worth having it was opposed to
all your nuts nuts eNOS that you've now
called stability and so I knew this
would just flip this guy out but I
literally had no way to reach him to
tell him I was canceling he was gonna be
coming in from television I returned a
phone call with a button on my phone I
returned a phone call with a button on
my phone and and actually there were
cell phones but very few people had them
and it had a button that you know you
press down and it returns call so I
returned I just pressed it cuz didn't
know who call solving there was a number
there no one left a message but I at
least returned it so all of a sudden a
payphone answers it's this guy answered
a payphone in Israel I don't know where
he was a shadow door tell Aviva the
phone calls from the morning this was
like like four or five in the afternoon
oh I don't know this guy didn't call me
from a pay phone you didn't call me from
any payphone what someone had called me
someone called me no way what this guy
is doing answering phones like who
answers payphones
I told he's a little bit off you know so
anyways the guy answers a phone
he had an unmistakable accent so I said
to him I said his name you know I was
like Herschel and he was like yes who is
this it's Robert glazier I just wanted
you to know that the class has cancelled
today and he was like how did you know I
was at this pay phone you can imagine
about the paperboy looking around like
maybe windows upstairs mmmm I'm up
inside a window you know how'd you know
is that this pay phone so I decided just
for fun just to mess with him I decided
to to save her sure there's a lot of
things you don't know about me
oh these whatever folks and then and he
goes he says and that was it and then oh
now things like that happen and it's
happening you over and over again you
don't remember but you have crazy stuff
happening what do you believe it or not
yeah
this wasn't a higher power story this is
what's right so we call it coat in we
call it Cohen's so then we spoke when
students with an S we spelled
coincidence with an S Co inside inside
the gods Co inside of every endeavor
that we're doing but these things are
happening over and over and over and
over and crazy later
doesn't change that unless it's outside
laws of nature it's still a coincidence
God obviously prefers laws of nature
because otherwise it rips away all free
will the whole point of creation is do
you make choice if God tells you every
time he's gonna usurp your freewill
you're gonna have any choice but I will
never be able to be well what do you
because free well means you have a
choice but if one option it's good
health and that's freewill that they
come to your head how is that pretty
well ah I see what you're saying so the
reason it's free will is because yes
very nice question a very nice question
and the question is and we're still
talking about souls how we know soul and
the conscience is because of the soul
but the very nice question about free
will is if the Torah tells you you know
do the right it says it specifically by
the way in the 30th chapter of
Deuteronomy it says I have given you
life never give you the good and life
and I've given you the bad and death or
the death in the bad I'm the reason
confuses I don't know if death or life
and the good or good in life I don't
forget the order I think it's the good
in life and the bad and death and then
it says choose life they're feeling
thirsty
hopefully they'll stop screaming soon so
what kind of free will is that if you
choose the wrong thing and the answer is
gender is lots of free will have you
guys noticed that it doesn't make that
big a difference to you in your choices
the fact that if you choose the wrong
thing you're basically screwed if you
don't you still do the wrong thing
sometimes you still do the wrong thing
even though
being badly messed up so the way we're
gonna understand this yet you want
something what they do earn something
from doing it they get a smoke now and
they deal with the with the disease
later choice in life means are going to
Starbucks I get the great and the price
difference and other factors right
that's a short it still do you mind
coming up a seat so that my microphone
picks you up you have two mics over
there no sit next to him neither right
here just that it's gonna be a lousy
class for the camera if it's if you're
if they can't hear you say it again I
was just saying if you're if you're
gonna say that every choice in life has
consequences which it does I'll argue
that is choosing tea or coffee at
Starbucks and choosing heaven or hell
like tea or coffee Starbucks there's
gonna be price difference one is gonna
be hotter than the other whatever their
differences in measure people stops when
somebody puts a gun to my head and says
choose coffee and I kill you which is
essentially what the Bible is living in
in a way it is free will exist even with
consequences but when the consequences
are life or death it's not free will
anymore right so it's a little different
I think the best way to understand this
would be the alternative what if God
decided not to tell you about the
downside of bad choices
what if we just said there's that you
left it out how would you do very few
people
[Music]
we still have laws thankfully and first
for okay there's civil law and stuff
like that but it's so much of so much
stuff's going on when you're alone yeah
and most of most of religions are also
only not killing others because of civil
law right civil law is not gonna help us
much here but but I'm saying that civil
laws I'm saying this person today and
people been religion I'm just I'm at
your personal relationship
they don't have religion and people are
killing there less than here and in New
York they have less to kill for crabs
what's that my point is that yeah they
have less religion them therefore less
to kill for listen be em but seriously
if we think about the alternative that
we don't know the downside
how would your free will be so in the
way you know if you listen this re
better if you go with re so now you have
like this G wow I have like this big
group I can choose a lot of things now
because it's not so black of white where
I choose suddenly it got real gray
because it's not so clear what's the up
or down side of any choice
and so I can just kind of move along
based on my whims more or less it seems
like more free will accept what except
you don't know the playing field you
don't know you have you own no idea
where you stand you don't know your GPS
at all and by god having through the
tour and by the way that obviously seven
billion people on the planet don't care
what the Torah says really you know you
got a billion Muslims of completely
ignore the Torah and why shouldn't they
Amy why shouldn't they ignore the Torah
they're not from the tribe of you know
Jacob and the you know the B'nai Israel
are the ones who got the Torah and and
they're and then you got a billion more
than a billion
yeah you got like a billion Christians
who have no obligation whatsoever to
keep the Torah though they're not the
same nothing's ever the same thing for
as well you're smart enough to know that
but they're never the same and they
don't rest on the Sunday okay they the
word rest is nothing to do with the
cessation of the 39 acts of Melaka on
Shabbat there's nothing they don't even
bring them up in the same sentence but
Jen let's go back to Christian's
Christian's is over a billion Christians
in the world sorority at 2/7 of the
world population who have know that it's
not necessary for them to know what's
right and wrong based in the Torah
besides very broad stroke there's a God
don't harm other people like what's
harmful for you don't do Tigers like
God's gonna want to know why you'd
perpetrate something you know very well
is harmful you know that's that you're
gonna get serious questions if you're
gentle the the question about the the
tour is actual details which is what a
Jew has to wear as his or her conscience
is extreme it's a lot of details a lot
of details we actually know how many
laws there are are in the we counted the
laws of 55 thousand laws Judy's they
were unloved no the 613 are only
hyperlinks but 613 are hyperlinks when
you click on each hyper link takes you
to a website of that particular law
Turin never describes a single law you
know I don't even know how to makes it
sis if I read the Torah nothing so being
fruitful and multiplying seems pretty
easy but it's not that easy there's a
lot of details of all there's issues
regarding uh there's issues regarding
certain times there's certain times are
allowed to
certain times you're allowed to know
there's certain times you're allowed to
cohabitate miss certain times you're not
those are all from the Torah there's
also there's also all the laws regarding
you know when you can and when you can't
are like hundreds and hundreds of laws
about that just it's written clearly in
the Torah that they that a menstruate
cannot cohabitate with her husband so
you need all those laws oral torah it
has no direct link to got anything
written into verbal toward the Camorra
Schneider's yeah I would have been those
written my people yeah anything any
anything again the legitimacy of the
original book is also to be questioned
but any book after that you don't have a
direct link to gather food you do have a
direct link because everyone who was
there in amongst our nation were there
and got the oral tradition you don't
have to be there because of the Roman
bastards we have it all written down
unfortunately fortunately we can learn
it
unfortunately that it was never supposed
to be written down what's that
we haven't written down but we have
never verified who wrote it down and
under we know exactly wrote it down
first of my first white person it's not
even argued arbitrate under what
conditions what did somebody in a cave
planning world dominance was it was all
communal communities of Jews the Misha
was written by Rebbe abuddin nasi we
know exactly who is Remy was and all the
way and the book itself but know that
rib Yuta and as he read the Mishnah you
don't need that specifically that no
that's not necessary it was a he was
they he was the head of the entire
Jewish people at the time he wouldn't
know who he was and we knew about the
Mishnah and believe me he didn't come up
with a mission out of nowhere he was
writing down all the discussions around
the missionary in a very specific way
that would cause you to have to have
certain discussions that were had orally
for the last thousand years now that
didn't go that didn't last because the
persecution got worse and worse and
worse so they worked down the Gomorrah
which is the discussions that you're
supposed to have off the mission
I'm persecuted over the years and there
is proof that it's been changed a number
of times over the years what has been
true of the Gomorrah it's tiny things
nothing nothing nothing makes a
difference what's that we don't know how
many times it's been changed that we
don't know about we know a lot about
what we've lost him we're also extremely
honest about what was lost and we know
exactly where we argue and anyway
anywhere we argue it's never about
important things like for example let's
say we're bane of Tom to fill in verses
Rashi they argue about the order of the
partials inside the the head-tefillin
but big deal you're still wearing a
black box man you're in a black box
there are arguments of whether you can
return a pot to a stove that you've
taken off the stove on Shabbat they're
arguments about that nobody argues with
you're allowed to cook on Shabbat you
can't 100% the award on the legitimacy
of the document that over the course of
history has been proven to be altered
we're not talking about the biblical
thing like the new testicle Testament
that's been altered many times we're
talking about the Torah which we proven
has not been altered and the oral
tradition which is just explaining how
to keep it I'm questioning the source
what oh we're just on a long thing I'm
just kind of rolling with it yeah I'm
just rolling with it but it doesn't
matter how someone ties there sits this
in the end you're wearing six it's you
understand meaning meaning if there's an
argument about how you tie them great
you know we're still in senses if
there's an argument about what it do
with a pot that left the stove no one's
arguing whether you're allowed to cook
something on Shabbos if there's an
argument of how what order the partials
are in a hit to film no one's arguing
about whether you're wearing to film
there's no big arguments on any of the
mitzvahs all the arguments are minutia
and it's irrelevant completely
irrelevant discussion of how well we
kept it over the last 2,000 years the
it's just not that relevant because what
we all agree upon we all agree upon and
that is 613 commandments
and yeah there are some distinctions
between how maybe his sisters are tied
in but both of us are in the cosmic
dental floss here okay we're both
wearing it now back to continent a
conscience and soul which is how we
segue is is that human beings have this
conscience how do you know the soul is
the source of the conscience so it's
very simple
the the conscience is basically saying
that's right that's wrong
that's right that's wrong that's right
that's wrong and it could be very gross
things like thou shalt not kill Israel
you know it's wrong and and you know mmm
helping the poor might be that's right
you know not always gonna be wrong you
know if you have the money to feed your
own kids and you wind up giving it away
someone else and the kids starve that's
wrong so it's not all it's not that
clear but it's pretty clear that giving
to the poor's is right so all those
strokes are right and wrong so what is
it inside of us that has this right
thing going on I don't want you not to
answer that quickly I want you to think
about that everyone just taking their
hearts right now what is that right
voice inside of you such that if you
didn't listen to it if you betrayed it
if you breached it and this can go for
an atheist what is that thing that says
something's right that's inside of you
take a moment just think about it what
is that wait this is the moment
everyone's thinking about it take a
moment and I don't want its content that
was the word I was missing the content
meaning the content of right and wrong
for you might be different than hers and
you know you meet a Hindu they're gonna
have their own content we read plenty of
overlap okay so one more SEC just give
everyone a second forget the content
what
that part of you that's interested in
right and knows that it's that long is
wrong what is that from our side
no because they because they the someone
else could not have it and they'll they
have a logical side of the brain but
they don't have that I'm saying that's
content without the content well the
logic your brain would say well that's
the right thing that's all content right
this simple way to measure what's right
and wrong is do and act in a way or if
the entire world acted in that way
everyone would be happy meaning you
don't want it you don't want your stuff
stolen don't steal from others common
sense yes you that's the golden rule and
that will can be found and of course I
never just like to take credit for it
but that will can be found in every
religion all of the 4,200 4,200
religions out there you all have a
version of the Golden Rule which means
do to others as you want them to do you
and that's using that rule you can know
what's right and wrong without having an
inner voice
aka emotions tell you that little system
yeah the only the only answer I've
gotten so far is how to identify that
voice it's much much much more room with
deeper it's not so surfacing that voice
I was asking you so your answer was it's
deeper wait wait for everybody okay what
do you got no my answer Dave is the
question is not regarding whether
something is right or wrong it's why do
you have the voice inside of you I
follow it like why they have this need
to film these writer options yes tribal
instinct there's so many things pushing
the human the human mind in certain
directions
any number of them Thank You Peggy okay
well that's again that might be a little
bit content still I'm not the fact that
it's inborn inside of every human being
that there's choices that lead to good
and there's choices that will take you
away from that good regardless what that
good is because one
good community has been so it's not
without the content why do human beings
have this where did it come from
what's the source of this what's that
it's common sense
even if somebody was born in a jungle
somewhere they'll still realize that
outcome of a might be a outcome of B
might be B does agree do you not agree
with the Golden Rule I'm pretty sure the
entire world agrees with the golden rule
the entire world agrees with the golden
rule which said that it's insurance
no it's interpreted the same way it just
different languages I don't think I
would some kids you don't agree with the
whole room what happens with Dada wants
to kill you then you have to kill them
in order for them to kill you you would
like you would have liked to kill other
other and then the Golden Rule will
break you don't believe in an eye for an
eye yeah but then you have two rules
that are that are overlapping and in
some cases you would fall one rule and
in other kids you would follow another
it's because in the cases where you for
one or the other it depends on the
person and on the logic or another
psychological aspects of each single
human being right whether every human
being right and wrong can be defined as
the golden rule and the thing that
pushes you to it and we want to do good
because we feel good because because
we're selfish folk and if we think you
put you put good into the world it'll
eventually get back to us just one
theory but at the end of the day it
doesn't necessarily have to be invisible
magic a day
I'm just saying ask for evidence if you
were a woman in a jungle would you still
have that to a tree yes it's gonna grow
food at some point abandoned rack no
nobody you could also has a non tribal
instinct if someone was left alone on a
deserted island yeah and you know I was
gonna live the rest of his life there he
would create probably his own code
there'd be a code created human beings
are moral beings my nature but the
knowledge of what's right or wrong that
comes from Venice and I don't know I
wouldn't have gone to anything about
tribal entities in the case that of a
human being created creating a morality
on a deserted island maybe I wouldn't
have gone there but the let's let's just
look at what Judaism says about the soul
in the conscience and then work our way
back so or work our way forward meaning
just like let's see what Judaism says
about all this so Judaism says that that
there was this being called Adam we
don't know how long that Adam being was
around we don't know and we don't know
anything about it and it could have been
around for literally millions of years
if not billions years tor doesn't say so
just doesn't say we know that I'm is
greater than a sixth day but we also
know that there's no such thing as time
until the fourth day meaning we didn't
the sun's only created on the fourth day
so obviously a day isn't 24 hours cuz 24
hours is the amount of time the Earth
rotates on its axis amazingly the Sun
with the Sun there until the fourth day
so therefore the workday doesn't mean
anything regarding 20
definitely not a 24-hour situation
what's that that's a laser was there any
movement in the world that's any
movement whatsoever that's another
incredible question which means because
if there wasn't there was no time
exactly yes so which is also great right
time is relative to right then time
comes into it well it doesn't actually
exist it exists relatively you don't
even exist relatively to the moving
bodies but anyway so so there's this
let's just go back to Taurus so there's
this atom being we don't know how long
this atom thing's been around but Adam
of all the creation stories the only
being that gets a double creation first
he's created like all the animals and
the birds and the fish in the film and
all day and everything else that was
created meaning God created and God just
said let there be and there it was same
thing with Adam but then Adam gets this
whole secondary thing going on where it
says that God blew into his nostrils a
living soul okay that's it I'm just
going right now with what tourism to the
gut blew into his nostrils a living soul
okay and then it says it is in a garden
okay there's a garden and God decides to
make one rule
what's one rule here comes rules okay
don't eat from the tree now what's the
one that he's got if don't eat for the
day and that's the one really he's gonna
break and next you know he goes for it
now what is the tree called aids da
Stouffer ah that tree of the knowledge
of good and evil and he eats it in his
up it says his eyes are opened and all
of a sudden he sees because if it says
his eyes are open that means in the
story before his eyes are closer
obviously his eyes weren't closed it
wasn't like a deer or wherever they were
they're obviously their eyes were open
but what it's saying is now there's no
some awake alive if there's a conscience
beam who's down those good new and good
as the Torah tells us in the
chapter there on me is going to be
attaching you to life which is the life
of lights being done which is what is
life than me but it means to be oh my
when I say I don't mean physically in
beats whatever vivifies up down here
whatever's causing this projections
don't forget in Judaism we believe this
is a digital simulation the whole
physical world including you so whatever
is causing your life to exist is called
life and so there's good and life and
there is evil and death which means to
disconnect from the life of life the
life giver of life what's called favor
loving the life giver of the words of
the physical worlds of the simulation so
according to Judaism man is just a just
a bag of bones nothing more than a bag
of bones but that bag of bones has been
given a verifying soul and at the same
exact time that the soul comes in so now
it's got life it's also done it's also
got morality it's got the tree that
teachers wouldn't mean one that once you
need it the whole world distinguishes
itself between light and dark wouldn't
either life of that everything that's
distinguishing middle and so we're all
inside this digital matrix here every
single it would be here forward with the
coaches know but even like eating from
that tree get Adam still didn't have
pretty well you can't discuss
unfortunately and sadly and somebody
gonna want to he say good you can't
discuss record of you think about it if
he didn't eat for the front we'd never
be there would never been a creation
I've never been in Turin
never been anyone's they were saying so
having a free will discussion you have
mortality now is that make any sense
that pretty well discussion but much
each other hmm
no we're not in moral now because
because Adam ate the apple right we're
not what immortal immortality it wasn't
that the punishment mortality oh yeah
management was mortality well there are
any patents one personal Adams never
explained to the the degree honest and
that's one thing secondly at that time
as far as we know there was not know yet
citavi answer was there no guess not
yeah sounds like a snake right now means
there was only the bad side which means
he had more peer pressure to go on the
wrong side and nothing keeping him on
the right side which means there was no
fee well in the first place which means
like gathering all of his descendants
more moral instead of tomorrow God is
punishing many people for sin they
didn't do and their parents also barely
did because there was no free will in
there so so we always a lot three
welcomed them but it is a great question
my daughter Isis yesterday is why we
hope you enjoy something that happen all
the way back then and my answer to that
that wasn't the correct my question is
much deeper than that my question was
about what's the logic here giving
someone no free will tell me someone you
can't you can't do it and then you know
sending said outsourcing the the Satan
part of it to go make him do it dressed
up as a snake and all that trickery and
then blaming him and all his descendants
on that sin this sounds like somebody
really would sound like you broke the
boilers you can blame the plumbing
company I'm not doing it right so what's
really going on is this isn't our
typical story an archetype
story about responsibility because the
whole when the whole story was when God
came to them he didn't say you didn't
bust it like my history teacher didn't
say you've been busted he said he said
whatever I get her and then their job
was to say we ate from the fruit were
soaked and then he would have said go
back and garden to play and instead he
said she he said she made me good
she said the snake maybe do it everyone
said they went thattaway
and God said okay you wanna hide and
then they did go hide lovely and name
then they'd hide from God which is
exactly what was going on there this was
all about hiding from what you did but
you know they did and it's really just
our typical story for us meaning in
reality we just have to chose to use it
as an are typical story of when you blow
it own it normal now you might be saying
well that's kind of a big like when you
blown it on it that's kind of like you
got grabbed overall from when you blown
it on it no I was gonna ask something
else I was gonna ask if God set this
whole thing in motion and had a whole
plan for Adam to fail what then you got
upset when they failed in a different
way with that you didn't intend I was
all intending God wasn't upset but but
when you own it when you blown it own it
yeah that subject when you've blown it
own it I'm not gonna say anything now
because we've eaten ten minutes into
every neck marks class but I just want
you to know that if you really go deep
into when you clone it opponent you've
shocked far down the rabbit hole goes on
not you what you wouldn't what you would
call blowing it probably in this stuff
in the content of this that's meant
doing the wrong thing you've no idea how
many so things all the time they hinted
at that in the seminar we're gonna I
said I read a senator that destabilizes
your weird way of stability because it
affects so many people and you will
never own it
it'll just explain it it's because that
it's because of that because that you'll
start to realize that this whole
creation is just one giant
a story created but you gotta own it now
um before I give her a rabid nightmare
every Thursday we do our very best to
sit lunch about tomorrow feeling good
about the fact that we helped a family
be pushing on this class so this rabbit
is so kind to bring money to in quiet
food for family that goes to that that
cause so please give generously I'm
giving this to Rabbi Meir now let's
we're gonna sing together
