resources their talent uh all of the good things that they gave them as a gift um bless each and every single one of them and also a very special for Tana so today as I was saying um one of the uh difficult things that um people have a hard time uh learning or fulfilling is truly determining the difference between right and wrong uh it's a one of the most valuable lessons that we're all supposed to learn as little kids but many of us uh only learn the very Basics and many times the the basics that we learned were was based on a biased understanding of whether something is right or wrong you know you sit on your uh parents lap and they tell you do this don't do this don't ever go there don't go there don't put your hand in there and in essence you're supposed to know that uh by the time you get to uh teenager and older you're supposed to have a relatively good grasp on what's the difference between right and wrong the truth is is that the overwhelming majority of people do not know the difference between right and wrong and many that do simply don't care because the right and wrong goes against their own interest and this happens to be one of the poisons that uh hurts a lot of homes today uh where you see young kids were going up growing up fine everything was going well but then one day they uh decide to go off the D they decide that uh they don't want to stay religious and even if they were in a non-religious world they decide to start taking and you know consuming drugs and alcohol and do all types of things that they know are wrong of course sometimes it's because of pure T that desire but many times it's not just a tava that gets a person to do such things especially after they realize these things are not very good for them but simply because of the hypocrisy that they live in you know where they see their parents say one thing but do another they see their teachers say one thing but do another they see their peers do one thing but say another they see the book say one thing but the world doesn't than another and one woman that called me recently that she's a relatively new B I think she's uh maybe only the last several months three four five six months something like that and she was successful in um getting a divorce from a in addition to getting her Jewish children because the is if the woman is Jewish even if the father is not Jewish the children are Jewish so she succeeded in getting her kids to become interested in doing chuva as well and she got them to start learning Tora and over the last several months you see each and every single one of them very very happy with the new T life that they're living but recently she told me that she has a new problem where one of her kids uh decided that he's not really sure if he wants to continue living a Torah Life Learning tah old day doing mitv keeping Shabbat because he saw that his mom failed a test where she had something uh very important on Shabbat and she ended up violating Shabbat because of it and to his understanding there is no permission to violate Shabbat for such a thing and because of this after he saw it he said listen IMA what do I need this life I've already lived 19 years years in this world without keeping Shabbat without eating kosher without all of this why don't I just go hang out with my friends party what do I need to listen to you for what do I need to do all this stuff for and she had a very very big dilemma we've already addressed the Dilemma he's back on course and he's he's doing okay but the point being is why would a kid suddenly leave something he enjoyed why would a kid that kept for 15 20 years all of a sudden s to act like a go drive on Shabbat eat whatever moves whatever doesn't move kosher not koser doesn't make a difference anymore why one of the biggest poisons that we have in the world today is hypocrisy simply the hypocrisy of people where people say one thing and do another the kids of today and I remember myself many years ago that was one of uh the things that would drive me crazy more than anything else where I would see adults say one thing and do another you know an adult will tell you Hey listen don't smoke it's not good for you while he's smoking a cigarette listen don't be like me I'm already addicted to this stuff The Last Place on Earth you want advice from is somebody that's consuming the poison that he says to you to stay away from but it looks enticing you look so cool cool with a cigarette why shouldn't I smoke why cuz you say it's bad but you're smoking if it was so bad why are you doing it are you stupid like you don't understand as a kid you don't have the logic behind it also you don't have the addiction yet you have no idea what does it mean I'm addicted already why cuz you like it that means you're addicted I'll stop I'm I'm I'm stronger than you look my muscles are 32 in what's the what's the problem and that's the thing when a young boy or girl sees the world around them full hypocrisy it makes them want to revolt it makes them want to create something new something better but in the process they destroy everything in sight even if what's in sight is good and this is what's happening in the world today the Jewish World the non-jewish world many many young people are simply looking to destroy everything in front of them because because everything they see they don't like now the truth is they're right in many aspects they're right the vast majority of people whether it be parents leaders teachers rabbis rabot are complete Heretics when it comes to hypocrisy when it comes to telling the truth actually they're seriously just they'll tell you whatever it says in the book but when it comes to their life if it negates their interest it's not for me yeah but you said not to do it listen I'm older than you what so you being on Earth for another two decades makes you at some point you get a certificate that you're allowed to be criminal like what gives explain the rationale behind this and they can't so one of the things that you have to understand is that if you want to teach whether it be your kids your students your peers your family the number one teacher in the world is your actions don't be a hypocrite now in order not to be a hypocrite in order to avoid being a hypocrite there's a few things that you need to have number one you have to have when it comes to Judaism strong enough to overcome your own desires not just their desires it's very easy to tell somebody hey Shabbat GNA get death penalty you have no and you're the one that keeps Shabbat so you're talking about him you have no problem telling him he has no he's going to gain no they're going to rip him apart why because you're figure you're safe you're safe so it's easy to tell him about his punishments easy I can do it all day very easy to tell the guy listen you go out with the Goya you go out with the go you're going to do this this and that easy why cuz you're already married two three kids with a Jewish woman easy to rebuke the world and tell them they're all wrong cuz you're right but that's not rebuke rebuke is to be able to rebuke yourself first and to be able to tell the truth first when it comes to you now when you're going to give advice to other people you have to make sure that you're not being a hypocrite that's will never change meaning not a single Mitzvah will ever change so anyone that says that this Mitzvah is no longer applicable okay you could go to the next store there's a church it's really big you won't miss it why there's no such thing as a toret changing no no such thing as Torah changing now the fact that you may not want to rebuke because it's uncomfortable it's kind of unsettling gets you into arguments maybe makes you angry maybe makes you emotional and so on okay it's a different story that will deal with in a moment but to say that the rebuke is no longer no you can't do such thing but the most important thing when it comes to rebuking is to rebuke yourself first because if you're only going to rebuke about what they have a problem with that's not necessarily rebuke in fact it may Simply Be ego of you just liking to tell people what to do so the problem that we have today is that many times people have no problem whatsoever in rebuking the public and their children and their peers about things that they're good at oh you know have to drive on Shabbat because you're not driving so it's easy for you to say that oh you know have to go to clubs because you're already old and gray you don't go to clubs anymore but when you were my age you used to go so now he's saying you're not allowed to go but you used to go so how you going to explain that are you going to tell him that you were a fool are you going to tell him that you were a loser and you fell for the you tell him no no but you don't understand I once you start with the excuses go go somewhere else maybe the guy from the church is waiting for you also you can't be a hypocrite you got to tell people listen over here I won over here I lost over here I was right over here I was wrong what second you are a hypocrite everything that comes out of your mouth simply is better off in the garbage why the kids of today are simply not going to be receptive to you they're not going to be receptive to you they don't want to hear you whether they're your kids or they your t or they're your neighbors or whoever they are they're not going to listen to you why you're a hypocrite you told me don't drive but you're driving you told me don't drive fast but you're driving faster you you told me don't go but you already live there what gives unless you have a valid explanation that even I a 16 Ye Old can understand don't bother me and that's the problem first and foremost we have to understand we cannot be Hypocrites we have to do what we say and when we fail we have to admit it second thing is you have to have you have to have you have to have fear of hem in order to over become your own and not fail especially when it comes to the big sins when it comes to morality or in Street language sexuality because a lot of people don't us think morality is business only morality most of the time more times than not means the issues between men and wom if you're going to fail don't give anybody an advice if you're divorced three times don't give anyone any marriage advice maybe you can give divorce advice not marriage advice obviously you're not good at it don't give anyone your your pep talk after your fifth divorce no one's interested and if they are they're just fooling you because they feel bad they're being politically correct yeah yeah wow you're so good wow you know you have a lot of experience what you have five weddings so how much you probably know the prices by now by heart which is the best haul out of all five don't give anyone advice when give advice on things you're good at and most importantly don't lie don't embellish and don't be a hypocrite again I'm mentioning it why you do it everything that you said that was good now becomes bad why you a hypocrite than one thing you hypocrite in one thing I can't trust anything else you say now to do all of this you have to have you have to have serious fear of hem and that fear of hem is not just fear of the punishment and the Gory details that we discuss from time to time of this chamber and that chamber and all of these other things no it's not just that it's fear of failing the test of right and wrong it's fear of being on the wrong side for a very long time too long to the point where you got used to the wrong and you've made it right and that's what happens sometimes people go on the wrong path initially because they're maybe they don't know or they're just nonchalant about it they don't care so much like ah whatever one time I'm going to go to this one place next thing you know it's six times next thing you know it's three months in a row next thing you know it's three years then they realize their whole life is falling apart as a result of their mistakes and they want to change but now they're addicted like the smoker they're addicted like the other other types of addicts they're addicted to the sin it's hard for them to leave all my boys are here all my girls are here everybody likes me here I make good money here all the stuff my stuff is that it's my stuff how do I leave my stuff it's mine I built this place you got addicted to the sin and you justify it at that point and Sal person starts living a life of wrong and that's why says someone says I'll make sin and then I'll do I know it's not good but I'll do later I'll make a s here they do chv why I heard from RAB ruin it's like oh what's such a big deal well if you've done serious trar for several years you've given up a lot of things you've made a lot of sacrifices for the good for the for the better of but too much too much I have to do TR again too much it's too hard so it's important for us to never be Hypocrites to always say the always live by the even if it's contrary to our desires but more importantly than anything else it's critical for us to know the difference between right and wrong because that's one of the things that people simply don't do they don't investigate what's right and wrong they just simply determine it on their own they Define right and wrong this looks right so therefore I do it this looks wrong therefore I do it but the truth is is that a human being cannot consistently be correct in his own determination of right and wrong why at some point you'll become biased at some point that decision will be something that you're influenced by K Shalom coin the to rebuke you so in order to really truly be somebody that is going to be able to practice the right and wrong and never be a hypocrite you have to prepare ahead not only learning to knowing knowing what's right and wrong but you have to prepare ahead and know what certain things that are going to come in your way but the most important thing is the acknowledgement that right and wrong cannot be determined by you right and wrong can only be determined by an unbiased party and the only unbiased party that exists in the world is a himself he is the only one that can tell you right or wrong allowed not allowed yes or no and to know what says we go to the Torah we go to the Tor to see what Tor says T says this D says that that's what we do now when a person does that in the beginning it's a little difficult why because in essence the first reality check is that you're opinion doesn't count yeah but I want to go well it doesn't matter you want to go yeah but I want to do well it doesn't matter what you want to do to says no so in the beginning it's a little difficult why because it destroys your ego you no longer say you know a what do you think of this and what do you think of that you start looking at things based on is this allowed or is this not allowed you no longer think oh I'm going to do this this you start thinking with can I do this you no longer think I'm going to go there you start thinking can I go there is it allowed to go there and once you start accepting D into your life initially you get that shock of your life where your ego gets destroyed but little by little you get used to it and eventually you realize it's simply a present from sham why all of your decisions were already made for you you don't have to think should I shouldn't I you don't have to think any of that why allowed not allowed what doesm want over here what does want over here and it makes life much easier in the long run now if a person can live such a strict discipline to the Torah their life will be GED in this world where does the tough times begin when we don't want to live like that we want to live like that sometimes most of the time but not all the time most of the time when it's easy Rabbi I'll do it but you know when it gets hard you know Rabbi it's hard you know easy Shabbat keep it every day every day kulture easy business no problem but you know when it comes to the girls you know when it comes to the shows when it comes to the money it's a little harder no no no my friend if it's it's all the time but in order to do that you have to be scared not just of the gay and the punishment no it's not just that there's a bigger greater fear that you should have of being wrong being on the side of wrong not the side of right because being on the side of wrong means that you're just simply on the wrong direction and you may never come back and unfortunately too many thought that no I'm going to do this wrong for a little while and then I'll come back and it just never happens no drug addict in the world ever thought he was going to be a drug addict no one aspires to be a drug addict no one says at 8 years old why I can't wait till I do Lines no one has says wow I can't wait I can't wait to start snorting wow it's going be so amazing once I'm 18 yeah wow oh at 12 maybe no one does that the first time the guy takes a puff of some marijuana or some other poison he doesn't think I'm going to be addicted to crack in a few years he doesn't think like that the first time he takes a drink at 9 10 11 years old his dumb father gives him a drink says oh he's just a kid he's having a drink no it's for fun for fun yeah for fun your kid's going to be an alcoholic in 3 years your kid's going to be an Al what no what do you mean he's only 9 years old yeah I know somebody became an alcoholic at 9 years old he's still struggling with it he's 55 he started at 9 who gave him his drink his brother no what's a big deal no one ever thinks that it's going to get to a point where you're on the wrong side for permanently not even an extended period of time no one thinks like that and that's also the same thing in business the rash burning ma off that stole billions of dollars and even more so the livelihood of many people on Wall Street no one ever thought that this guy is such a bad guy why didn't anybody double check more and everyone just simply chased him with money because he was doing business with the government he was on the board of directors of the self-regulatory system of the industry meaning that The Regulators were afraid of regulating him because he was part of The Regulators no one questioned this guy why he is on the right team so how could he being on the right team do wrong more than everybody else no one questioned it but after he got caught and made an enormous that they simply there's simply no way to do cha for him until he dies after that when they got a story the only thing that he said honestly is that he didn't mean to do it when he first started out he started out with good intentions and I believe him on that everything else is a lie because the vast majority of scams start with good intentions I didn't mean to do it I just meant to do this one thing and it got too far I lost over here so I figured if I lie a little bit then I can make up for it and I'll even give them a bonus and it didn't work out so the LIE got bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger before you know it it's too much to fix he never thought he's going to steal $50 billion and Destroy hundreds and hundreds of families he never thought that some of his clients who he called his friends too would commit suicide because of him he never thought that his own son would commit suicide because of him he never thought what it's just business a few people give me money and that's it he never thought that so much wrong could happen from a small wrong decision that was technically planned to be temporary just a couple of weeks ago a young man in El decided to take advantage of a religious woman that I know and stole three ,000 from her now to some of you seems like a lot of money to some of you maybe not to her a ton of money in fact it was all she had and he told her that he's going to do such and such service for her that she needed and if she doesn't pay him the money then he's just going to throw out our file and put everything in Jeopardy that she worked for and so on and so forth and put a lot of stress on her and she said well I can't pay the whole thing he said listen I'll just take $500 from your card okay fine she gave him the card number she signs an agreement and what does he do takes a lot more than $500 cleans out our bank account $3,000 gun she calls all of a sudden not available she calls all of a sudden we'll get back to you gun emails unanswered she feels so horrible that she not only doesn't have the money that she had that she needs but on top of that that someone took advantage of her that betrayal that feeling of being being violated now many people have stolen from me over the years so I know how it feels and I don't know how many things are worse than that but nonetheless this guy when he took the money what did he think okay it's a little wrong that I'm going to do right with I'll pay her back at some other point I'll make up for it by doing good this and I'll do that he didn't mean to kill anybody he didn't mean to hurt anybody he didn't mean to do any of that stuff he just m I need the money she hasn't that's it what's the problem he didn't know exactly how much she has on her account he didn't know how she's going to react to it well he is likely not watching this but in shamayim they are and they're watching him and right now he's decreed a murderer why but because of all of the anxiety that he caused this poor woman she started bleeding and ended up having a late miscarriage and had to go to the hospital emergency service because of a hemorrhage to the extent where she almost died herself she didn't but this guy that wanted to do a little wrong to hopefully do a little right later on right now he doesn't realize he's a murderer and that's sometimes what we don't think about that our little decisions and our violation of the right and wrong could be simply too big to fix and if it is possible to fix it it'll take a whole lot more now has been teaching us week after week the critical message that at the end of days those teachers those shepherds are not going to be reliable enough for us to learn right and wrong from as we've learned many times the Z says that most of the rabbis and leaders in the world at the end of days at time of mashia when we find ourselves today are going to be part of the this is what learned from every single week for the last three months the vast majority of leaders rabbis in the last generation are not only not going to be reliable to learn right and wrong from but they're actually going to be on the wrong side themselves as the and we've spoken against them many times and we'll continue to not because it's pleasurable not because we like it in fact I hate it but because as a conversation went with between me and another when he asked me listen I get it what you're saying is true these people are bad people whether it be Manis or Ephraim or the other people they're bad people I get it but why do you have to mention the names like why could you just say such rabbi did such and such bad like you don't have to say the name you can just say this is bad why can't you just do that and I told him because sometimes you can have an entire Shi discussing something bad this is bad that's bad this is horrible this is a criminal this is a criminal and someone's to at 10:00 at night how could I be wrong I go to a I go to I have I have this I have that I do so many we automatically don't think that we're wrong so unless you tell people outright this guy's a r they don't get it and unfortunately even after you tell them many still don't get it why they themselves are victim of this rash to the point where they themselves do not know the difference between right and wrong because they still think that right and wrong is based on your own definition and not the definition of the Divine not the definition of a himself they think that they can determine right wrong and that's the problem soan has told us time and time again that we have to learn from the right people avoid the wrong people but most importantly follow the right way ourself because if we don't follow the right way it doesn't matter who your teacher is you're not going to go to to Heaven because your teacher is a big Rabbi that's a tadik you're not going to go to heaven because your group of wicked rabbis why because if they don't protect then they'll lose the support of another big Jewish organization and they're afraid of if they lose the Jewish organization support they'll lose donations the truth is once your decisions start depending on whether you'll get donations or not you should hang your hat retire and go become I don't know an auto salesman go sell Q-tips to hotel chains go clean carpets be a babysitter don't run any organization especially not a Jewish one why when it comes to Judaism your interest cannot be the motivating issue here now you could say
