Discipline Evolution Past vs Present in Education

When I was growing up, there was more of a disciplinary system. A rebbe could throw an eraser at you. Maybe even sometimes give a you know, take a ruler and smack you on the hand, something like that. >> [laughter] >> So [music] that that was that was allowed to be done. Uh Today we believe more [music] in I think and like I said positive reinforcement, reward and for doing things right and >> [music] >> we steer away very far away from any uh you know, from any using anything being any anything physical. [music] Uh so in that way there's a there's a certain pro in today's educational system. Uh the fact that we have >> [music] >> um more English books in as far as I'm in English that people can read for example our children could could read. The reading that that's [music] that's involved, stories that we have that kids can read is I think is is an element of [music] growth.
