The Late Yisroel Gordon Recounts Humorous Interactions With The Rebbe

Since most stories of the My Encounter project are firsthand accounts, he also shared with us many of his own memories from the early years of Lubavitch in the USA, including his interactions with the Rebbe in the 1950s. Posted below is one of my favorites; a rather humorous moment with the Rebbe. Rabbi Gordon had heard his father recount his experience traveling to Warsaw for the wedding of the Rebbe and Rebbetzein in 1928. He retold those memories with such warmth and detail that it felt as though Rabbi Gordon himself had attended the wedding! Despite the fact that he was under the weather at the time of the interview, he delivered his testimony with so much passion and vitality, one can hardly tell. He was a giant of a Chossid.
