call mitv Psalm 119 he said all your Mitzvah are and King David said something about himself he said describe yourself in two words he says I am prayer King David's whole life was prayer so what is prayer we're going to learn exactly what prayer is we're have a new series about prayer and it's called the language of auna because prayer is the language of auna in order to pray properly why don't people they don't pray because they don't believe in Hashem if you believed in Hashem and believe Hashem is right there with you of course you'd speak to him now imagine that someone was going to give you an audience with uh Boris Johnson or or President Biden or the prime minister or the president they they could barely Biden there people that wanted to say he's s scile they want to have a medical medical exam and and throw him out in Boris Johnson there's no confidence they want to throw him out they could barely hold on to their own seat there's not much they could do to help us but we talk about Hashem the king of kings that everything is from Hashem and that's what we learn why do we spend all our our time and our efforts because this is our main job in this world to learn a Muna and to learn a Muna what is the barometer of a Muna the barometer of Muna is prayer because the prayer is the language of auna what is auna okay auna people always ask me what my definition of amuna is and it's pure and complete faith that's 13 principles but even more more basic amuna is your own personal relationship with Hashem that's because a person that believes in Hashem and believes that hasem is right there with him like King David says in psalm 16 literally means I place Hashem before me in other words King David saying he sees Hashem before him all the time he could you can see the four letters of hashem's name he feels hashem's presence this is amuna when amuna it's it's above nature and it's above knowledge now the brain can't know imuna because the brain is limited to human intellect human psyche amuna goes past human intellect and amuna connects a Divine intellect that's why when we have an amuna we expand our Horizons we expand our personal potential we become so much more capable so much more despite everything that's going on if we look what's happening down on the earth and you can see all the strife and and the wars and political Strife everywhere everywhere in the same in in the in the US in the UK and Israel you see the same patterns and certainly in in uh in in the in Russia and in the Ukraine it's affecting all of Europe it's affecting the whole world and there there's so much pressure there so much uh Strife Nations at each other's throat uh I don't know why that uh the current prime minister of Israel made this week a needless threats on Iran so what are you doing here you're waking up the bear you let the bear sleep wake up the bear now they have the they have uh incentive he would go faster on the nuclear bomb why he did that I don't know I don't know hasem hasem is showing us that without auna there's no brains there's no sense because there's no wisdom other than divine wisdom human wisdom that it's not wisdom all it's based on personal interest we are new in our new series we learn the language of AA language moon is all about prayer and we're talk about prayer prayer is different phases of prayer but our goal is to be in contact with hasem all day long like King David says I see Hashem before me always think there always now if you take the word always it's a very interesting word in Hebrew Hebrew is the language of the Bible so interesting it's four letters and do and if we take the the intermediate letters the intermediate letters they they they spell they they spell heart in other words heart the language of the heart it's constant and this is the language ofuna because auna is our connection with theem prayer connects us with theem therefore prayer is language we're about to learn but we go into it step by step and we're learn different Praise of prayer learn things about prayer that are so simple that you never knew and you could see people that are born in the program people that wear long black coats and and and and long God covered himself head to toe and the prayer doesn't mean anything to them because they learn how to pray when they were three four years old and now at 30 40 50 60 they pray with the same intent when they're three and four no it's not our connection with Hashem should be a fervent connection pray with intent and it's not only the prescribed prayers out of the SE door all day long this where we're going to learn okay so if we look at what's prayer is it Pebbles or it's diamonds imagine that every word of prayer and this is this is not this is not a overstating it's a probably the understatement of the Year imagine that every word of prayer that you speak to the Almighty is a Two karat diamond now even if you take a Two karat diamond that's not perfect it's a medium Diamond it's not completely flawed but needs to be polished maybe it's got a few flaws in it minor flaws in it and take a wholesale price that diamond would go for about $25,000 okay so maybe maybe something 18 20,000 quid $25,000 all right now imagine that these diamonds are rolling around on the sidewalk rolling around the street and I would pick them up but people don't even bother bending down pick them up because they they step on them as if they're Pebbles they treat these down the Pebbles and this is the way people treat prayer it's at the same indifference that every single word connects you to the almighty every single word could be the continuation of your life the continuation of your heart the continuation of your kidneys suppose someone told you if you don't speak the almighty right now and you don't thank for your eyesight then in exactly 60 Minutes you'll lose your eyesight well person would fervently thank AEM for his eyes but that's really what Hashem is every brain impulse that goes to the eyes and activates the eyes it's it's the biggest blessing in the world so to thank AEM for these basic things have you heard about people today's news that the young man on the coret got smashed by a truck as it walked he he rode his Cor canet in a green light on a crosswalk and a Truck went through the the the the truck went through his red light there was a red light for the truck there Coronet had the right away the guy in the scooter it's really called a corkin I think you called a scooter right this motorized electronic scooter okay and the young man got killed is it a foregone conclusion that we cross the street we have asked Hashem for everything Hashem help us cross the street Hashem help help do everything if you want to have a successful business and before you go to business before you go to work in the morning Hashem help me be successful you Ser sit down with a client Hashem help me be successful in this negotiation if a medical individual before he gives a treatment uh Dr David Dome before he outfits an old person he does eyeglasses for old people not people that theem help me find the right glass and help this person see and that I should be you're your Emissary oh jeem says to David oh you you you know that that the eyesight comes from me and you're just the Emissary you're going to be the most successful Emissary anyway okay and he's going to going to do better fitting people with glasses than anyone else okay so we don't regard prayer with the same indifference that we do pebbles in the street that's but you have to have auna to appreciate the power of prayer and this we're going to be learning about and there no EX exaggeration I gave the the diamonds made no exaggeration I guarantee it's the understatement of the century because nothing is as precious there's no more precious commodity as prayer and since it's a precious commodity if it was on the Chicago Futures Market it would be the Best Buy it would be cheapest because people are not paying much for prayer people think that put much more effort on many other things and learning Torah learning Torah is very very vital very important but if you want to learn Torah effectively you can't learn Torah effectively without praying because what happens to a person that learns Torah without praying if he's successful oh he thinks the big man on the campus who's like me you know he's the highbrow and he looks at other people he calls other people names so they're simpleton or like they say he's a he's a a simple a commoner he's a plebian and I'm the great Torah scholar this is Torah without prayer this is a equation for the bmov Torah without prayer equals arrogance this is I get this son after son the B pin I I I get that's from from the melid because when a person prays for the prayer this is divine wisdom who could learn Divine wisdom before you open up a book of Psalms before you open up a tanak before you open up anything you learn Hashem this is your Divine wisdom enable me to open up my eyes King David said this G he says this in Psalm 119 he says hem open my eyes so that I may see the wonders of your Torah we're we're Mortals we're humans and as long as our souls are entrapped in this human body it limits it limits as soon as the soul leaves the body it's unlimited it's tiny part of the sh flies right back up and and and clings to Hashem but this is what prayer enables us while we're still trapped in the body prayer is above nature prayer enables us to cling to hem prayer is a language we cling to hem because if we Define auna as our own personal relationship with hem the most to to to nourish a relationship to enhance a relationship you have to enhance communication between a husband and wife the first thing had has their relationship it's not uh how much they hug each other it's it's how much they speak to one another their communication lines and they understand one another speak so if we want to have an intimate relationship with our creator we have to speak to him all day long and that's what prayer is and that's what we call prayer the language of a Muna okay because why language of Muna one cannot possibly pray with any semblance of intent without feeling that the almighty hears his or her voice uh and listens to every word of prayer and that's why imuna is a vital prerequisite for prayer they see people that pray because it's an obligation and they were born in the the program and they know there's certain obligations uh they eat kosher because that's what they're supposed to eat they don't not supposed to eat otherwise and they keep Shabbat because that's what they're supposed to do but there's no particular intent this is what they've grown up with this is the way they've grown up and they grow up that they pray three times a day that's it but uh you hear people Mumble they take make a blessing Mumble where the mumbling you know what it means to make a blessing what do they take that glass of water take this glass of water if you something been in the desert and not had something to drink or been far away from a source of water and you contemplate that glass of water you make a blessing blessed are you AEM that everything is everything is from you everything is from you you bless AEM for a cup of water then all of a sudden that water it attains a special illumination of spirituality that illuminates the soul not only that but my making a blessing blessing stop stop think about what you're doing no finish even fast that stop and think what you're doing okay make grace before meal and make Grace after meal and stop and think what would be if you didn't have that food and Who provided that food it's the almighty Pride provided food thank you very much and that You' satiated and had a wonderful meal thank AEM for the meal we thank AEM for everything and we take nothing for granted people say oh oh what this is what this is ridiculous you make a blessing a when you come out of the bathroom oh you think that's ridiculous okay what would happen if uh you can't relieve yourself for three four days in a row how would you feel you'd be willing to make a big blessing and what happens when the opposite when a person has to run person has the the opposite he has to run every 45 minutes every half hour to the bathroom he can't control himself it's a too much it's terrible too little it's terrible so when a person has regularity digestive regularity such a blessing makes you feel good and just imagine if you had smudge in your carburetor and you go to the garage and the mechanics got to take apart that whole carburetor and look what AEM does he created we say MAF Sal the body created Hashem made wonders wonders the body not only does Hashem not to have we imagine that a person would have to go to the surgeon and have surgery on his intestines every time he had to get rid of waste no no need for surgery no need for anything and pass it not only that we pass out with no surgery it's a pleasure and a person feels good and doesn't deserve a blessing when we have auna and we have the language of auna which is prayer it take nothing for granted so what happens there's an upward spiral Hashem says I you don't take my Divine abundance that I bestow on you beloved Son and beloved daughter you don't take this for granted you're G to get more and more and more the exact opposite happens where there's no communication not only that uh some people complain they complain let's say the old American American expression they complain with two loaves of bread under are okay then hasem says well we see let's check your file we see oh you've got more blessings than you deserve so person is complaining now the opposite he gets reason for complaint they they provideed for reasons complaining so we see that prayer is the manifestation of a Muna because if her person believes he or she prays and if they don't believe they won't pray and if they don't believe and they're quote religious unquote I don't like the the word religious I like the word observant like the word believer but religious what's religious religious religious means that it's it's a wrot a wrot ritual it doesn't mean anything because the zor rabish writes in the zor boy that Hashem wants the heart Hashem wants the heart and the expression of the heart that's the language of amuna that is a prayer that's intent and prayer from the heart okay so that's the pra you want to know if a person has a Muna watch the way he or she prays you see they pray fervently and they believe that Hashem is right there that's a you believe like King David says to me I place hem I feel hem with me always okay so many people that's the average person like do you believe in god of course I believe in God do you pray no how can you believe in God and not pray you believe oh God was a Creator or somewhere and his retired somewhere that was the notion that people have about the almighty but uh they believe that the different facets of their lives are dependent on human beings they think yeah way back when Hashem created the world but uh where do you get your health oh I see a dietitian for my eating and I visit the doctor once every while oh you think your health comes from the doctor uhhuh and where's your income oh I've got a good boss he gives me a nice salary oh you think your income comes your boss you know that tomorrow uh your your boss could lose his business or if you're independent you could lose your business no our income doesn't come from our work and our health doesn't come from the doctor and our peace of mind doesn't come from the lawyer the CPA it's all from Hashem it's all from the Shem all these different professionals they are Divine Messengers they're Messengers to help us with different facets for lives but our blessing doesn't come from them our blessing comes from a Hashem controls everything but Hashem does not reveal himself outright in this world that's why the world is called in Hebrew is from the word from the word that means disappearing or invisible hasem hides himself in this world we explained that in our last lesson when we explained the shem's name shakai that he used to create the world that Hashem created a void and within that little void tiny little void in his Universe we created the entire vast Universe endless universe with a it's a tiny little void take the the super galaxies and everything well far beyond beyond beyond what NASA can even see with the most powerful telescopes it's a pinhole to AEM and then to imagine when we learned in Divine direction if super galaxies are a pinhole in hashem's world and hasem delves all the way down to the tiniest detail within that Super Galaxy and goes down to the Milky Way then down to the solar system and down to planet Earth and down to each one of us and then each one of us is is a world in within ourselves and then goes all the way down to into the molecules and and a DNA and RNA and atoms splitting atoms it is mindboggling is mindboggling and to realize that aem's right there we our heart is not connected to a generator it's not connected to a socket in the wall That's AEM Shem beating our hearts right now everything is all comes from Hashem and so if a person says wait am I supposed to pray all day long and thank Hashem for everything really we have to thank Hashem for every brain impulse because I think I don't know exactly how many somewhere between 90 and 150,000 brain impulses to raise a finger like that in the movement 90 90 degrees raise a finger 360 raise a finger 90 90 to 150,000 brain impulses and for every brain impulse really thank AEM and for every heartbeat every heartbeat you know the difference between life and the other side is it's one heartbeat thank Hashem for every heartbeat and what's more let's contemplate uh who has medical insurance that their heart will surely beat in another 60 Minutes anybody have insurance like that I don't I know who's that but shirts that are hard to beat in another 30 minutes how many people have had all of a sudden massive seizures massive heart failures and snap of the fingers they're gone do in essence have to appreciate every heartbeat now here's the thing with imuna and we thank Hashem and we talk to Hashem not just in prescribed prayers and not just in our benedictions we're going to learn in this series we're going to learn about the prescrib prayers we to learn about the benedictions uh the blessings we have to say every day we to learn about personal prayer these are the three three big parts of prayer okay with these three big parts of prayer why does Hashem uh give us this because Hashem loves every one of us so much and Hashem wants us to be in contact with him okay so if each of us knew that our health our livelihood our Offspring our soulmate everything we had be depend on Hashem we'd be looking at prayer a lot differently we' be looking at our relationship a lot differently but people don't want to be obliged they don't want to be oblig people don't want to say thank you people they they avoid saying thank you and they happy that you do them a favor but then they avoid you they don't have to say thank you and they do this with Shem see and to realize if if you haven't read Divine Direction and see how Hashem is so involved in every facet of Our Lives that's a good preparation for prayer to to realize that Hashem has not just created the world and he's gone on retirement but Hashem is actively involved in every part of her life okay so like we said meanwhile if prayer was on the stock market it would be the cheapest stock and the Best Buy around because not many people are picking it up and it's not in demand unfortunately it's not in demand but if you take prayer and anybody that decides decides and you could accept this Challenge and I took this Challenge on myself I'm preparing this because I don't maybe maybe I'm not there yet but I try not to teach anything that I'm not working on myself because if the things I don't have them in my heart I can't put give them to your heart that's the gamor tells us the things that come from the heart go to the heart so I gave myself a prayer challenge okay laser let's see if you can do everything you teach oh we're trying we're trying because this even for a gift if it's worth it to me to make the series if just I strengthen myself in prayer but I guarantee you everyone that is participating in our lessons in the language of prayer the set of lessons and you try your best to adapt prayer in your life you're going to see major differences in your personal happiness and your personal success in your relationships you will see suddenly things uh salvations and solutions to problems you never believed uh you'll see things happen in your life you never believed you think you never got your soulmate you get your soulmate you think you never have a decent income have a decent income whatever you need but if our orientation should be not to get what we want in other words uh rabish shimai if hasem loves me like you say then how come have the difficulties in life we have the difficulties in life because Hashem loves us and we explain it right so uh Hashem is a loving father he loves us more than we'd love our our own children our our closest loved ones and our love for ours spring it's not one iota of hashem's love for each of us and Hashem wants us to be close to him but uh you know we're moderate sometime got our head and and social media and Tik Tock and Facebook and Twitter and Instagram and who knows what and all those places are not good for remembering Hashem because not too many people are talking about Hashem okay if you're com men in in our friends page it's all the time let's say hasem is the star of the show that's what we're talking about and I'm talking about hem David is singing about hem all the mun everything it's all aun okay that's all we talk about all day long because this brings us close to hem and this brings us happiness and it brings us inner peace and it brings us Divine abundance of all shapes and sorts but it's not that we're out for the Divine abundance we're out to cling to Hashem and this is fervent fervent observance this connection to hasem has nothing to do with religion absolutely nothing to do with religion we're not talking about religious ritual we're not talking we're talking about prayer the language of amuna that connects our souls to Hashem not only that it is the vitamin of the Soul now emotions come from the soul and when the soul suffers from malnutrition then what happens it manifest in emotional problems when the soul has what it needs and the Soul needs a connection with theem it's happy it's calm it doesn't worry it's not stressed if people that they suffer stress they're worried they don't know they they're worried about doing a Mitzvah some people are worried about uh oh maybe I'm not there I'm not going to buy shabas food because I can't afford it think more promises that if you buy shabas food you buy food for Shabbat hashem's GNA pay for it and some people like I talk to young people that the guys 28 29 30 31 uh how come you not get married man you should have been married already he said no I can't afford it I'm still working a safe you can't afford it you wait to save up you may never you may never OD indeed why the person gets this income from the illumination of the wife's Soul so you're not going to have a decent income until you get married and the reason if you treat marrier you you marry the woman that with a good heart and with the woman you love and uh you Hashem with prayer person is worried about income person is worried about Health person is worried about anything because it's all in hashem's hands so why the difficulties okay let's take a look at the reason we don't our prayers aren't answered because we haven't paid the price yet either in amount of prayers or the quality of prayers and the intent of our prayers so we see our forefathers they were uh had major fertility problems and even go with what the what the the midis says another midis says that they didn't have the capability of having children at all and it was above nature because prayer is above nature as say is above nature below nature they're never GNA have kids this is what Hashem told Abraham Abraham was an unbelievably fantastic astrologist he knew everything about problem at all pray for it so we see just just imagine people say well still okay Laz you're void and you're voiding the proud you you didn't ask why I have the difficulties in life if Hashem loves me so much you said Hashem loves me more than I love my own children okay let me tell you a little story also from the medish the King was out with his entage taking a nice ride in the country okay but the beautiful Rolling Hills up uh near above Oxford near Malin okay between London and and uh Manchester Kings had to visit the Kalen family to visit the price family visit all his friends up in and and malver and the kings in a nice country road pastoral Rolling Hills and the Sheep beautiful beautiful scenery and all of a sudden he hears a damsel in distress help help she screams out robbers waiting to hear our voices when we call him Hashem doesn't have to give us difficulties now what I just told you is a theme throughout the entire Torah it's we the whole Torah goes that to what happens uh we let's open up the the book of The Book of Exodus Book of Exodus chapter 2 and we see that the Jews are weighed down the Israelites that excruciating labor in the hot sun they're in slavery in Egypt and they cry out to Hashem oh now they cry out to Hashem we see that the Exodus only Begins the 10 plagues only begin that the uh Exodus from Egypt the whole cycle the whole of of exus only begins after they cry out to Hashem so you see hashem's waiting to hear their voice okay so what ises the what does the the Torah say and Hashem heard their cries and remembered his Covenant with Abraham with Isaac with Jacob Hashem heard the cries remember he made a covenant he made a covenant that uh is going to take care that's the chosen people he going to take care of them now continue on so now they're about they're leaving Egypt Shem did the 10 plagues and Hashem takes them out of bondage and takes them out of Egypt but uh nobody's praying nobody's praying o anybody say thank you to Hashem for taking us out of bondage no okay so what happens Shem says all right I want to hear their voice ship puts him in a predicament where now they're leaving Egypt they're on the shore of the Red Sea Pharaoh he he says why did I do such a stupid thing and let the let the let the Jews go no wants it back he wants his slaves back okay so Pharaoh has remorse in letting them go them they've got the Egyptian Army behind them and to the side is the desert where there's nothing in the desert no food no water nothing but big snakes the size of oak trees and uh scorpions the size of rabbits the Sinai desert and what they do there's nowhere to go there is no solution they're in a crossfire let me tell you something this reminds me there's something that recurs in every generation when a person is in a crossfire and there's no way out okay don't wait for that situation but now they cry out to hasem they cry out to Hashem so she says get moving so be get moving so the
