The Lakewood Scoop in Conjunction with LPD Launches Click it and Lick it

hello I'm Chief Rob Lawson of the Lakewood Police Department and I'd like to share with you an exciting new program that the police department will be starting next Wednesday July 17th the Lakewood Police Department in conjunction with the Lakewood Scoop will be initiating a safety program for children riding bicycles officers in Mark police vehicles in full police uniform will be giving away certificates for ice cream cones uh free to children that they observe who are wearing bicycle helmets while riding their bicycles I encourage all bicycle Riders to wear helmets um for their own safety but especially the children since it's the law to do so and it's for their safety hopefully this program will also make children more comfortable in approaching a police officer should they ever be lost or be in any kind of danger I would like to thank the Lakewood Scoop for their sponsorship of this program and I'm holding up an example and an enlarged example of the certificates that the police officers will be giving out to the children they observe wearing their bicycle helmets thank you and I wish everybody a happy summer
