Okay. So, I'd like to start out first. Um, welcome everybody. And for those that never didn't have a chance to meet, nice to meet you. And, uh, I just like to start off, you know, Sundays in Israel, we're saying Shabu to it's the beginning of the new week. And so, it's a holy day because it's the start and we're still feeling the influences of Shabbat. So kind of kind of let us like do a little meditation in the beginning to keep that mode to remind ourselves that we're going to go heading into the work week. We should do it in a holy way. We shouldn't get swept away by the world. We should go into the world and raise it up. [Music] Lord, hear me calling call out to you. Feel like the world is falling down and I don't know what to do. Yeah. Now, Lord, if you call it, world falling on me. Well, I don't know what to do, Lord, and I don't know who to be. Sometimes I feel like a sinner. Sometimes I feel like a saint. Sometimes I feel like I'm living alone. Sometimes I feel like I ag calling world falling on me. Well, I don't know what to do, Lord. I don't know who to be. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Where Lord be calling call out to you. Well, I travel across the rivers, travel across the seas, hang out with the preachers, some people call them thieves, hang out with the prophets, some people call them fools. I don't know who is with you, Lord. And who's going to lose? Yes. Now, Lord, help me calling. Well, falling on [Music] me. No, I don't know what to do, Lord. I don't know who to be. Yesterday I played in Delana. Anyone ever been to Delana with the Baptists and the freaks? It's cool place. I like it. So we were hanging out, you know, with Shabas. They had a jazz festival. So our room was right on the on the green there. So we're just sitting outside. There's an interesting scene. We're sitting there. a couple couple of Mormon boys walked across and he started speaking to the Mormon guys of their whole story and it comes up some um you know some hippie guy that's telling about all the his drug trips and everything and he's searching in Costa Rica and he's kind of just telling me he's like you know laser I kind of find myself and then I lose myself and then I don't know what happens he says you know I'm a young guy and I'm just trying to find myself I said I uh I'm 51 and I I asked myself the same question. I said it's an infinite world with an infinite God. So I said the only people who make me nervous are the people who think they found themselves jealous of all the people who know just what to do. Don't ask too many questions and just following the rules. Yeah. Now Lord hear me calling world fallen on me. No I don't know what to do Lord and I don't know me. Lord hear me calling out to you. Lord have me calling. Yes. I don't know what to do now. Now Lord have me calling. world falling on me said I don't know what to do Lord and I don't know who to be [Music] [Applause] You want to play some harmonica? You got a G-hawk there. I do. [Music] You got a little rabbi who plays blues harp, you know. [Music] [Applause] I'm going down to the station by myself to get home. I'm going down to the station. You got anything? I got lost on that highway such a long time ago. Can you help me conductor is gone? Can you help me just keep looking for my sense of direction? I got lost such a long time ago. I got lost in Atlanta. The family that was texting like a cowboy. I got lost my way such a long time ago. I'm going down the station by myself. [Music] Heat. [Music] Got the [Applause] blues. Heat. Heat. [Music] Well, I still ain't found the station. Feel like I'm a long way from home. No, I still ain't found my station. Feel like I'm a long, long way from home. I got lost on the power. Such a long time ago. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Applause] You got D. Yeah. Got four. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Take this badge off of me. I can't use it [Music] anymore. It's getting dark. Too dark to [Music] see. Feel like I'm knocking on heaven's door. Feel like I knocking on door. Knock knock knocking on heaven's door. Knock knock. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Put my guns in the ground. You know I can't shoot them [Music] anymore. Long cloud is coming [Music] down. Feel like I'm knocking on door. Feel like I am knocking on door. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Laughter] [Applause] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Oh, you say I'm knocking [Music] on [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] You open [Applause] [Music] Oh, [Music] heat, heat. Yeah. Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] for you. One more. One more. Yes. Okay. Now, there was a I know my friend, he wanted me to hear play me Jimmyi Hendris, you know, but come on. You can't you got to be crazy to try to play Jimmyi Hendris. It's like suicidal cuz who could play Jimmyi Hendricks on a guitar? Jimmyi Hendris. Jimmyi Hendris. So I got a way out of it. I said, you know, if I play Jimmyi Hendris like Georgia style, you know, a little hillbilly, backwards, a little bit slow, uh, country fight, we might be able to do it. Might be able to pull it off. What are you saying exactly? Say we're a little I'll tell you, thank God it's not New York. That's what I'm saying. here. Should we Should we try it? Should we try this? No. You can try it. You can try it. All right. Check it out. Right. [Music] A purple haze all through my [Applause] brain. Lately things, they don't seem the same. I'm acting funny, but I don't know why. So, excuse me while I kiss this guy. [Music] is in my eyes. I don't know if it's day or night, but they're going on my mind. Well, is it tomorrow in the [Music] time? Help me. Help me. [Applause] Oh, heat, heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat [Music] up here. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. Heat. Is it day or night? Yes. Knowing you're blowing my mind. Is it tomorrow or the end of time? Help me. Help me. [Music] Jimmy Henderson was my first rabbi. So It's important for you for sure. Yeah. Whenever you want. [Music] It's one important thing. If there's Jewish people, you got to ask if it's not too loud. Don't complain later. Anyone think it's too loud? Now's the time to say. Huh? It was, but it's fine. Now, take my hearing aids out. I'm with you. [Music] How's everybody feeling? How's life? Right. Beautiful. You guys, it is great. It's all perspective, huh? Yeah. Someone told me it's life is 10% actually what you do and 90% how you look at it. That's right. How you complain about it. They complain about it. Yeah. You know any Mickey Cat songs? Mickey Katzel. Mickey Cats. Mickey H. Mickey Shaw. You mean Mickey Cats? Mickey Cat. I don't remember Mickey. What are you doing? We have to bring the album over. You got to bring the album over. [Music] So, [Music] whatever. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Yeah. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] I want my heart. [Applause] What about your originals? Originals. Rabbi has great songs. You guys do another one. Play it again. Play it again. Okay. Chill out. [Music] All right. So, this song is called Samashi. You know Don Sorski, right? You know Don Sorski, right? So he sings great singer CDs this great job I can do. I'm just looking for my All right. So, the song is called Sabanashi, which means my heart yearns for a ship. And um it's kind of we were just talking a minute ago about uh you know how you how you say these things. So um there's a part where I say when I'm talking about person to their love of Hashem uh my love my love people always want to know if it was written for you know who was written for. So um it is a written song by King David about Jews connection to God but you can sing it about a lot of love is a channel the other one that Titan the big one. [Music] [Applause] Yeah. Like a dove who has only one true love. My heart is just you. And I'll fly across seven lonely seas to be there. Show you that I'll always be true. of she [Music] lo and I weak like a lion. and hear me [Music] roar. Run like a deer to do your will. But this enemy is crouched at my door. Don't let him quench this thirst that I long to fulfill. Some of she lay low key. Hello [Music] king. Now that my soul is in this hidden place, I will run to the highest mountain. I'll jump in the deepest sea. I will cross [Applause] desert. My love to be near thee. [Music] I love to be near thee. And now the time has come to take your bride home. Well, let that day come soon. Cuz it hurts so bad to be away from [Music] you. Dear love one, bring her into the palace room. Song of she [Music] keeps someone else. He low [Music] key. Now that my soul is in his hidden place, I will run to the highest mountain. I'll jump in the deepest. I will cross a narert. My love to be nearly. My love to be near. [Music] Hey, I'm going to stop you too much. [Music] You want to play? You can uh play an original. Yeah. So, let's see for you. Let's see [Music] what's going B minor and A pretty much. So the first time I was introduced to the what a nigon is. Nigon is a song melody without words. Um I I knew I was Jewish when I was growing up but I didn't really wasn't exposed to any real Jewish heritage. And then 22 years ago miraculously I was had a concert with Schlommo Khalibah. If anyone doesn't know he was like a very one of the biggest mystical sadikim of our generation combined with he was a real hippie soul a free soul he had played in the Berkeley music festival in the 60s and so played a concert with him and the first time I heard him sing a that really just blew me away. And the thing I like about an eagle and I play them all over the world. Even in the middle of the blues concerts, is that anyone can sing along and anyone can just whatever they want to dream, whatever they want to pray, they can do it together because there's no words. So there's no conflict of interest or beliefs can do it together. [Music] I [Music] I I lie. I Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] I Oh. [Applause] Oh. Heat. Heat. Yeah. [Applause] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Last time I was trying to get 1 2 3 Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Oh my. [Applause] Yeah. Come down. Yeah. It's going to be how many years? 67. 50 years. 50. 50 years. Yeah. 50 years. It's unbelievable to go to USA, you know, just to think I have one of my sons that studies every day. My work, my wife works every day in USA. But it's a real sometimes in our day and age, people, you know, God always puts this against this. In Delana, it's the Baptists and the freaks. That always has to be free choice in. So in life we have to know that today in our generation sometimes it seems that there's great confusion great darkness in the world and sometimes when there's that big of darkness God puts something into the world that's just the highest thing just to balance has to be balanced out but it's always have to be free choice still so the returning of the Jewish people to Jerusalem is like the fulfillment of so many prophecy And that's really the main event that's happened in the last 2,000 years of the world is the Jewish people coming back to the land. But because it's so big, it blinds even the eyes of the Jewish people. It's so big. It's like almost we're so close to it. In history, it's hard for us to even grasp it because we're just so close. when you read the the Tanakh, you read the history, what's what's you know 50 years, it's like it's like nothing. So we can't even imagine what it is today to be able to go to Jerusalem and and and to be able to go into many places and we should just keep singing and keep praying. And the beautiful thing about Jerusalem is that we all know that we pray every day. It says that and we say we say God's house will be a house of prayer for all all people. And so we have to know that the key to making that happen is that's why I love to come the key is that if we really make our house of prayer a house of prayer for all peoples that opens up the gates to what will actually happen in the holy land in Shaim that the whole world want to come there. So um it's beautiful to be close to you and to be at the kila where you're so opening to the whole world. I just hope that you're light and you people here might not understand if you didn't go get to go around to a lot of places. It's a very special place but if you don't know how special it is if you haven't you know if you haven't made your travels around in the in in the world. So I just want to bless everyone here that when they're here they should know how special it is and they should bring all the peoples from all the four corners of the earth all types of people to come experience the cahila experience. Next time we'll come and we'll have people from all races, colors and creeds packing the house and we'll uh together we'll do we'll give you a little more warning next time. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Yeah. [Music] Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Yeah. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat up here. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. [Applause] Beautiful. Wow. Legit. [Music] Which one? Hugfest. Oh, the hug the hug fest. Yes. Hug fest would have gone on YouTube. We would have been a viral sensation. You know how fest is like this. It's um it's Russ and I'm talking about before chauffeer blowing and I'm describing to everyone that when the chauffeur sound calls it's like a primal scream and we're getting in touch with our interactions and I say that what has to happen is is that you have to go and see the beauty yourself and see that you're holding a sh and the way you do it is by seeing everyone else around you is a holding Can I tell a schlommo story? The Schlommo story is that so one time Schlommo Kald used to go and and play concerts all over the place. He went and he played a concert at a prison. He had to come and play with Jewish inmates. He played for Jewish inmates. And then afterwards he said to the warden, "Can I go and meet all of the inmates in this prison?" Thought it was kind of weird, but he said, "Yeah, yeah. You know, you go, you know, I'm still in there." So goes to every inmate in the prison and he hugs them. He says, "Holy brother, how you doing, holy brother?" He talks to them and he talks in their heart and they they're transformed and he finishes going through every single inmate and he's about to walk out and this one gruff criminal popped face screams out before these, "Rabbi, Rabbi." Schlomma turns around and says, "Yes, holy brother, can I help you?" And the guy says to him, "Rabbi, that hug you gave me is so amazing. Can I get another?" So hugs the guy. And he hugs him. He's hugging him. 5 minutes, 10 minutes. He's just hugging the guy and he walks away. The guy is crying. He's got tears. Criminals have tears pouring down his eyes. He says to him, he says, "If somebody would have ever hugged me like this years ago, I wouldn't be here today." I tell the story, "Everyone's crying. There's not a dry eye in the house." I go to sit down and Matt goes, "Rabbi, give me a hug." So give So I give him a hug and pandemonium breaks out in the shoes. Everyone gets up and starts hugging each other and they're hugging and they're balling, I love you. I love you. And they're crying and the guy is bagging on the other on the is going okay. Musl Howie. Forget it. It's not happening. It's not happening. 40 minutes. 40 minutes. Everyone's hugging each other. I love you. I love you. Crying. And then finally we went to start dancing. It was the thought. Slowly with it. [Music] Hillary was one of my hoodies. Yeah. And the climates. Crimeates. D minor. Okay. You'll hear it when you come. Okay. We'll play a new song here. So, we have to know Hashem is hugging us all the time. [Music] You just have to know how to feel the hug. [Music] You have to know how to to feel the things you see in divine providence on our daily lives. Those are Hashem's hugs. So, we should all be blessed to feel those [Music] hugs. All I want is to be close to you. Everything I want is get close to you in my heart, in my soul. Only thing I want to know is that I'm close to you. [Music] [Applause] All I want to get close to you. Everything I want is be close to you in my heart in my soul. All I [Music] want is to know that I am close to you. And I am close to [Applause] you. It's the only time I feel away. The only time I feel alive. I want the things killing my body, my mind, soul. Show me the way. Show me what to do. Cuz now I know all I really need is to be close to you. And I am close to you. [Music] G E everything I do and everything I see. All I want to know is that you're here with me. So show me the way. Show me what to do. Cuz now I know all I really need is to be close to you. And I am close to you. All I want close to you. Everything I want to get close to you in my heart, in my soul. The only thing I want to know is that I am close to you. Yeah. Heat. [Music] [Applause] Only time I feel awake. The only time I really find so tired just wasting my life. So show me the way. Show me what to do. Cuz now I know all I really need is to be close. You know when you're really close to Hashem, you can only really be close to Hashem in the middle of hugfist. If you really feel close to people and you really each of us is a spark of so that is the gateway. So if someone saying ma has to know the essence is the hug is being close to one another. That is the real being close to Hashem. So I just bless you should spread hug hugfest to Atlanta all of Georgia. Spread it. Spread it. I wanted to tell you I learned so much from these Mormon boys who were speaking outside in Chabas. So I saw them walk by once. They've been dressed very nice. They got white the shortcut shirt and nice blue pants. You see they look like nice boys and they're coming back. They have the books in their hand. So I just wanted to you know the m when we say the Hebrew word for messiah is Mashiach. So I I spoke to them I taught them I said you know the Msiach if you take the Hebrew you can turn things the the deeper levels of the Torah you really have to know Hebrew and you have to know the the nuances of the language. But really you can take two words. Yes. What does it mean from conversation? So by speaking to other people and trying to listen to what they're saying, we have to understand do we we the highest prayer is right. So it means listen Israel sometimes we have to listen to the world even with the mishas. You have to listen. And really in the middle of the Mishagas, you can hear the yearning. The story was so strange. I had read the Book of Mormon one time. I was in Erie, Pennsylvania. Had the plane in the hotel. They had the Book of Mormon. So, you know, I want to know what's going on. It was like way above Star Wars. It was like I was like, I never heard of it. It's like I don't know what it is. It's like Star Trek is like simple and coded. And so I asked the kids to explain, "But Rabbi, there's something so much beautiful to learn." As soon as you ask them, they have this little book. They have colored pictures that they take you through in like a half a minute. They're already taking you with the pictures and the book through the whole thing. And the story it gets even weirder. I was telling people before that there was this lost prophet 600 years before the second temple was destroyed. They came to America and then they were split into two groups and there was an evil group and a good group and the evil group destroyed the the good group and they died out and those are the Indians and then this guy discovered the whole thing you know in in Almyra Palmyra New York anyway this what the bottom line the story is so way out there but do you know how the Mormons are spreading around the world it's like wildfire why these two kids they're preparing caring from the time they're little. It's such a beautiful thing to learn from them. They go out age 18. They decide before college. They're going to give two years of their life and they save up for this to go out into the world to teach the world this Mish God story. I mean, it really I don't know. It's really way out there. It's really such a way out there thing. You got to It's really way out. But how many people join? It's It's amazing. And there two things I really learned from them. We have to learn from them. First of all, they really have a lot of Derek Herits. It says that we just learned in the pavote that what's a sign of a of a smart person that he's he he he when someone else is talking, he listens. These boys were experts at it. Experts at it. They had the patience listen and they're just dedicated with to their cause and they believe in it and they want to give it to the whole world. So we as Jewish people have to know the world is waiting for us to really have that Mormon spirit mixed in with our Yiddish P with a little hug fest and and and sometimes but the simplicity was beautiful how they had the book with the pictures. Sometimes the beautiful thing about Rashomo is people don't understand he really the bigger the sadikim were the more simple they can make the Torah for the people they could bring down something really gal into simple things so hugfest is like the essence of very big things that are explained in the cabala Rabbi Shimarai was only praying that one day there would be hugfest that's like the simple version of the true so anyway that's a story from Dana Anyways, we got the uh I think the Kila jammers are here. I don't know that. Oh, so we have some jamming guys. We got a few drummers and drummers. Let's bring it on. A lot of jamming. So, Randy and and Yakov and uh Hillary Hillary some of our our jamming songs. Sure. Are there any bongos over here? Did you bring any guys here, guys? I already stole your stole. You're pretty handy. [Music] Handy. [Music] Yeah. Heat. [Music] in the garden now [Music] You [Music] might get What I say? Oh my. Oh my [Music] just fire Now for you to be all right be all right. [Music] Oh, heat, heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat up here. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] It would Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Everything's going to be all right. Everything's going to be all right. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Do another one. America. America or never give up. Let's see. Yeah. Heat. [Music] excited about [Music] Shout [Music] out today. [Music] Good to see you. Thank you so much for coming. Thank you girls for the good spirit. The rabbi, you know these girls star is that guy. Got one leather jacket on blue jeans. I love people and mother nature. I ain't into loving things. Got one pair of sandals, one old guitar. I like a walk around my bike. Some time to think about just who we are. Just looking for the simple [Music] life. Whatever that may [Applause] be. Just want the simple life. Moon, the stars and the trees. ain't an old way, not really something new. But in this world of mass confusion, I just want to simplify my views. This call for change comes from the inside out. Ain't telling nobody here what to do. Just dealing with myself. I barely know how. Just look for the simple [Music] life. Whatever that may be. I just want the simple life. Moon, the stars, and the trees. [Music] Why it's so hard to be simple? Being simple just as simple as it seems. Sometimes I'm traveling parts of the world such as Delana, Georgia, Delana and other places around the world in the country. People never met a Jew before. Some people will ask me what's a Jew. So, you know, in a few sentences they want to know what it is. So, sometimes as a joke I'd say, well, a Jew is someone who outsmarted himself. You say what do you mean? Say no. So sometimes you have to remember each nation, each person, each the sparks have fallen in a lot of places. Sometimes you have to know what to learn in each place. Sometimes the people of the world, they've made it. We were just taking a walk and seeing all the all these huge churches, huge churches in Dana of so many different kinds. We're asking ourel to keep the cahila going. It's such a struggle. It's such e it's such a struggle financially. I said how do these churches how are they ma how are they financing these huge things? You haven't asked me. I said it's simple. They made it very simple for everybody. They just their service is only an hour. It's an hour. It's once a week. We did that. We have thousand people here. Okay. It's an hour. It's an hour. It's once a week and you just have to do a few things and you're right in heaven right there. There you go. So, but you have to know I'm not making fun of this. There's something in everything. We have to turn around and know what's good. So, for us, we have to know we can't outsmart our people, ourselves, the Jews. Hashem is infinite. And as much Torah as we learn, we'll still only be not even at one. And where's one close to the infinite? It's not there. So we have to know how to connect to Hashem, to God in ways where we can feel the infinite in our souls. So the biggest thing of our generation that's bringing thousands and thousands of not just Jewish people of many people close to Hashem is just we have to go out. The nature is perfect and simple. Nature doesn't change itself. Nature just does exactly what Hashem made it what it has to be. And so when we go out into nature, if it's by the brook, if it's in the mountain, if it's by the sea, and we talk to God in just very simple language, we make that a daily connection, then that is really the deepest connection we can make. And it's straight from our souls. But it's a real art. And so I just bless us all to go back to being simple and uh we should be [Music] blessed. When a person is simple, we're speaking about a person makes an order in his life. Some people like to have that just I'm a free flowing person. I'm a free flowing character. I just go with the flow. And sometimes what that means it becomes a train wreck. So the real trick is how to making some simple order in our lives where we can just know that we take care what has to take care of but then we can put the light into that vessel of being simple. Just a place to rest my head, a couch to rest my bones. Please keep me far away from all the screens and the telephones.
