The Final Battle Against Amalek... How Do You Know? | Land of Israel Fellowship

And how do we know who Amalek is every generation? Amalek literally announces it. They declare their purpose and their agenda. Hitler made it very clear last generation. He hunted down Jews in other countries. Every country he invaded, he rounded them up and tried his very best to annihilate the Jews in the Holocaust. And Iran in this generation was the only force in the world that declared their national mission was to put an end to all of Israel. I mean, they had a doomsday clock in the center of their capital counting down to the destruction of Israel. It was the guiding principle of all of their policies, of their economy, of their nuclear ambitions. It was what they were all about. It's how they supported the Houthis and Hamas and Hezbollah. It was all with a plan of destroying Israel. And on Shabbat, that Shabbat Zachor, we read not only from the Torah about Amalek, but also from the prophets in the Haftorah. We read from the book of Samuel, Israel's war against Amalek under the king of Israel, Shaul, Saul. And the king of Amalek, Agag, was eliminated. And that same Shabbat, as every synagogue in the world was reading about the elimination of the king of Amalek, Israel eliminated the head of the Ayatollah, the Amalek of this generation. It's like you don't appreciate the stories of the prophets properly until you live in our generation. How could a story about Samuel killing Agag be a prophecy for future generations that it's entered into the prophets of Israel to begin with? And until this Shabbat, we didn't know that ancient word became a living word, and they were the they were spoken in synagogue, and they came to life in reality, a prophecy in our time.
