The Eternal Memories of Har Sinai

We are finished, really, with the Aseres Hadibros, with the whole Mayan of Har Sinai. We're up to Ma'amad, but even Ma'amad are the volume that happened post Mayan Har Sinai. So, what began with Parshas Shlishi and really concludes with this last pasuk Vaya'amod Rachok u'Moshe Nigash el Ha'Arafel, with the Aseres Hadibros, of course, in the middle of it is what we know as the parsha, sometimes referred to as Mayan Har Sinai. And the Midrash sometimes referred to it as the parsha of Parshas Shlishi, and we shouldn't refer to it that as well. But anyway, this concludes the events of Mayan Har Sinai. The pasuk in Parshas Va'eschanan, this is in the context of the Mishneh Torah version of Mayan Har Sinai. So, Moshe Rabbeinu tells Bnei Yisrael, "Raki Shamor L'cha u'Shmor Nafshecha Me'od. I want you to watch yourself and I want you to watch your soul very, very carefully. I want you to be very, very, very careful that you don't forget, you don't forget the events that your eyes saw. What are the events? The day that you stood at Har Sinai. Moshe is talking. What Hakadosh Baruch Hu told me Hakol Yisrael And this really ushers in the whole second version of the story leading up to Har Sinai, Har Sinai, and even the events that immediately followed Har Sinai. And it's not only enough that you don't forget this. You have to tell to your children, you have to tell to your grandchildren as well. If you take a look at Rashi, Rashi says, "What is this that Moshe Rabbeinu was warning the Yidden, don't forget?" What can't they forget? "Thou shalt not forget what?" Ramban breaks Rashi, and the Ramban says one line, "The no no cloud." I vehemently disagree with what Rashi is saying. Okay, so what does the mean? Says the Ramban, let me tell you. In my opinion, this is a say. Here's your moment. We are Moshe Rabbeinu was warning the Yidden because I'm not sure they are finished and last because after Moshe Rabbeinu warned the Yidden that you have to keep Torah and mitzvahs, he went ahead and he gave them another warning. He said, "I need to show man the and the man and the man." It's not enough to remember the mitzvahs, you have to remember from where you received the mitzvahs. You should remember you can't forget Har Sinai. You can remember from all the things that your eyes saw there. It's God and God and the words of God and the words of God. And because of that anything that a Navi is going to come in the future day and try to contradict he's not going head to head with Moshe Rabbeinu. He's going up against the creator of the world. And obviously, obviously nobody can do that. So so much of our Amuna comes says the Ram Bam, says the Ram Bam from Mayan Arsinai. And that's why it's so critical that we remember Arsinai. And it's so critical that we convey the events of Mayan Arsinai to our children. And this is like the Ram Bam in then the Parshas Boy because what the Ram Bam saying in the Parshas Boy? That the story of the Yetzias Mitzrayim is the Even Hapina of our Amuna, of our faith. And that's why we have so many Mitzvos that are Zekher Yetzias Mitzrayim. Well, the punchline of all the Amuna that comes from Yetzias Mitzrayim is Mayan Arsinai. Number one we saw more Mayan Arsinai than we saw Yetzias Mitzrayim. Yetzias Mitzrayim was more Vaya'aminu b'Moshe. They came more direct indirectly from Hakadosh Baruchu through the Shliach Moshe as opposed to Mayan Arsinai. That's when we heard directly. Additionally says the Ram Bam, additionally Mayan Arsinai is when we were Mekabel the Torah which is what it's all about. So that really making a Zekher Mayan Arsinai is almost more important than making a Zekher Yetzias Mitzrayim. But says the Ram Bam in my opinion this is what the Pasuk means. "Rak hishamer l'kha u'shmar nafsh'kha m'od pen tishkach es hadavar asher ra'u einekha u'pen yasuru milvav'kha kol y'mei chayekha v'hoda'atam livanekha u'livnei vanekha." >> that the real class of God from our Sinai and not as much from the Ramban says in the Torah he says that the that the had up until in his words is cuz at the end of the day came through motion.
