The Day a Duck Came to the OU Offices

[Music] [Applause] [Music] through the OU one of the things that we work to determine is which species are koser this particular duck are called White mards and we used it as part of our research to determine if we could accept different kinds of maler ducks and different kinds of domestic ducks as kosher this is Mr Ken Gibson Mr Ken Gibson is an artist and a published author on [Music] falconry it just so happens that the white Mard is a bit unlucky it's not considered to be genetically distinct enough that anybody's really trying to save its genetic so to speak it doesn't appear that there are any white malards that are available there are practically none left we're trying to document this bird's existence and Mr Gibson is going to paint pictures documenting the existence of this bird with the eggs of the bird getting a a nice clean yolk that will be very separate from the [Music] white whisk get in with the water so that's Incorporated many many oils and each one has slightly different qualities it dries strong and it was preferred by [Music] artists water and okay [Music] so you know why you're not oh it's beautiful [Music] all get slightly different [Music] Quality quality to The Strokes of my doing that [Music] just again
