This is Pesach someone asked me to try
the second day Yom Tov when it is in
shul he come to shul people put their
tallisim on the table from yesterday
they don't want to fold it up and put it
away. So there are a bunch of tallisim
on the table he picked up the wrong one
made a brocha on it
and realized it wasn't his tallis. So he
wanted to know first of all could he
continue davening with it it's not his
he has no resource.
Was the brocha atollah because it wasn't
his tallis could he should he make a new
brocha?
And the embassy once had a shaila
someone nearly Yom Kippur he realized
during his mincha that he was wearing
someone else's tallis.
Went out to the bathroom before the
mincha
and it swapped and the question is is
there a problem with that mitzvah?
We had a shaila with a brocha during the
during the summer the camp his tallis
became tallis cotton became possul he
was playing ball whatever.
I told him borrow a tallis from a friend
of yours but make sure you kind of I'm
an asla haasa.
He looked at me like I was strange. This
is not dollar minium what is an asla
haasa have to do with anything.
And one more shaila for now for him this
is a common shaila brocha want to have a
different type of a costume.
So they rented a a tuxedo. A tuxedo is
something like today's frocks kapota
it has dollar can voice but obviously
there's no tzitzis.
Is there any heter to wear a tuxedo or
any dollar can voice without tzitzis if
it's just the shame of a costume?
So this and more are really part of a
beautiful sugia there's three different
gemaras it's a full sugia
>> [clears throat]
>> because if you notice the common
denominator of all the questions is the
following.
>> [clears throat]
>> We know dollar minium to be yoitz on the
first day it has to be lachem has to be
yours.
So if you took someone else's you're not
yoitz.
The question is does that apply to the
mitzvah of tzitzis and I must mention
once and for all we talk about tzitzis
there's no difference tallis godol or
tallis cotton.
>> [clears throat]
>> If tzitzis has to be yours then a tallis
cotton also has to be yours.
But the question is
by dollar minium it says lachem lachem
there's no [clears throat] such possuk
we buy in tzitzis. So you can't make a
brocha without a source.
>> [clears throat]
>> So the embassy is the first mention of
this concept is gemara menachis mem
dalid tallis
a borrowed tallis kol shlosha yamim
paturim at tzitzis b'chol eilach
chayavim.
Now here we see what we're looking for
without a reason or a source. Here the
gemara said that tallis has to be lachem
not lachem but it doesn't say lachem but
it has to be yours and [clears throat]
if not there's no mitzvah.
But the strange thing is number one
there's no reason for this doesn't seem
to mention a source.
Number two more importantly
here it makes a difference 30 days or
not.
Why if you have to be yours why is it
different 30 days? Now we know by
mezuzah there's a two or 30 days but a
totally different reason. That is
because you might move out you might not
stay there.
But the mice here we see and we have two
questions. Number one why is it kapota
toich l'ammit and why is ach l'ammit
more b'chiyuv?
So the second gemara that we're going to
mention is in chulin kuf lamed vov.
The gemara
is on a possuk tasu l'cha tasu lach al
arba kanfos k'sutcha
zogt [clears throat] the gemara the word
k'sutcha implies it has to be yours
and that's why a tallis sh'ula is patur
toich l'ammit.
We don't yet see what's the difference
30 or more than 30. So this is the third
source in chulin kuf amud beis in
Tosafos.
Tosafos says that really me d'oraisa
you're patur from tzitzis forever.
A sh'ula but more than 30 days neeres
k'shel oy
it looks like yours people think he's
wearing this a long time. What's with
the what's with the mitzvah of tzitzis?
So it seems to be a a form of a maris
ayin.
When you wear tzitzis for
a beggar a few days without tzitzis no
nishkaf
but more than 30 days is going too far.
So here we have exactly what we're
looking for we have the din of tzitzis
tallis cotton and godol has to be yours
not lachem but k'sutcha.
More than 30 days even a tallis sh'ula
is going to be possul. And this
[clears throat] is all in Shulchan Aruch
siman yud dalid seif kuf. Seif yud dalid
siman yud dalid seif gimmel and l'maisa
this is clock.
Now l'mai another question that we have
to add is how about if you rent
something for less than 30 days. A
perfect example would be our tuxedo
shaila. They didn't buy it
they didn't borrow it they rented it. So
we do know in certain halachos sh'ira is
kinyan but says the Mishna Berura seif
katan yud he quotes many poskim and I
saw even more than what Mishna Berura
quotes that disregard if it's not yours
it's not k'sutcha
a rental is patur. Now Mishna Berura
doesn't bring the itter is mastapek but
if you look in Tiyul Ha'adovos seif
katan hey he proves and that's the the
maskana of Mishna Berura that not only
is a tallis sh'ula patur but even a
tallis s'chora a rented tallis is patur
as well.
>> [clears throat]
>> Now l'maisa
we have to ask a important question
and basically the question is as
follows.
Let's say I have a
beged sh'ula. Let's say I have this uh
tuxedo.
Or I borrow someone's dollar can voice.
But no tzitzis right? Tallis sh'ula
means you borrowed the beged don't
forget. You know we tie to word tallis
we think about a tallis godol or tallis
cotton that's that's not correct. In the
Mishna and gemara
terminology the word tallis is a cloak.
Shnayim ochazim b'tallis does not mean
they're fighting about a tallis godol.
So the halacha we're talking about now
is you borrow a tallis a beged of dollar
can voice it could be a frock it could
be a a a a tuxedo.
So you're patur. So theoretically a
person that borrows again a tuxedo or a
frock could wear it up to 30 days with
no tzitzis. Now today the frocks they
have it's rounded off so you don't have
three corners the four corners but no
doubt a borrowed frock or a
the tuxedo is patur from tzitzis. Now
let's [clears throat] say I decide
chacham lev yikach mitzvos
I say I'm going to put on the
tzitzis anyhow.
I could wear this frock without without
tzitzis but I want to be a little
strange I put on tzitzis on this beged.
>> [clears throat]
>> Can I make a brocha on this frock? Again
it's
real dollar can voice
real tzitzis but it's borrowed.
So try to jog your memory where do we
have something like this that the possuk
says you're patur
and I do it anyhow? Can I make a brocha
when I'm really not chayav?
So you know what came to my mind?
Noshim b'mitzvos asei she hazman grama.
They're patur from sukka it's a possuk
lulav shofar
and yet as we know the minhag rov
Yisrael
>> [clears throat]
>> that when women
do these mitzvos they're allowed to make
a brocha. Now of course the shita of the
Rambam is that you they can't make a
brocha because you can't say v'tzivanu
and you should not say v'tzivanu on on
on the
leishiv basukka they have no chiyuv.
But the Beis Yosef and that's the minhag
of
probably rov Klal Yisrael that we could
make the brocha
a woman do make a brocha.
Ay v'tzivanu
teretz is
that it's not going on me. Tzivanu is
not going on the isha or me particularly
it's going on Klal Yisrael. So Klal
Yisrael has a mitzvah leishiv basukka
and that's why the Sefardim and some
Brisk follow the Rambam's shita and thus
they will not make a brocha.
On on sh'man grama even though they do
it.
A mitzvah asei she hazman grama
a a smaller mitzvah but there's no
brocha. But minhag rov Yisrael you make
a brocha.
Now [clears throat]
I have a great idea. Chacham lev yikach
mitzvos I'll put on tzitzis on the beged
anyhow.
I can even make a brocha. True or false?
Now again this particular shaila is not
nogea but this is nogea for the rest of
the shaila this the rayum the concept of
it.
Comes again Tosafos of an art and the
Rosh in chulin perek ches siman kuf vov
says the exact same thing. He says no
the dimyon is not correct.
But listen to the beautiful lomdus.
If an isha says v'tzivanu it's perfectly
true. The Borei Olam commanded us to sit
in the sukka not me isha particularly
but everybody else. But there's no such
mitzvah to put tzitzis on a beged
sh'ula. The possuk says k'sutcha.
So how can you say v'tzivanu there's no
such mitzvah.
And therefore Tosafos says even if you
want to put on tzitzis on your beged
tzula, no bracha is said.
Yet the pella is
both toises and the rush after they
convince us that no bracha is said, they
both say the same loshin, mikom mokom
amavorei al pikain amavoreiach loy
hefsid.
>> [clears throat]
>> You got to make a bracha.
So the question is you just proved it
that it doesn't make sense with tzivonu
cuz there is no such mitzvah. So what
are you saying now? Amavoreiach loy
hefsid.
Tarris, if you think about it, it's very
simple.
Because lemaisa,
you're right. There's no mitzvah of
beged tzula. But for the ba'alim who
owns that frock,
I thought it was a mitzvah. So there is
a mitzvah in this very context, albeit
for the ba'alim.
So I'm saying bitzivonu for the ba'alim.
So this simple shaila of making a bracha
on tallis shula,
toises and the and the rush hold you
shouldn't, but if you do it, loy hefsid.
>> [clears throat]
>> And this is all in shulchan aruch sim
gimmel hashoel mechaverai tallis
she'eina metzuyetzes. Don't forget,
tallis means a dollar comfies garment
without tzitzis.
patur lemelech al botzitzis why d'ksiv
suscha
zogt mishnah brura
and the mishnah brura
that if you even want, you could
put on tzitzis
and mevareiach loy hefsid.
So in other words, they didn't reject it
like don't make a bracha.
They said if you want to make a bracha,
loy hefsid.
So again, what's important to me is this
yesod that even though you're patur from
tzitzis cuz of beged tzula, if you
choose to wear him that beged tzula,
you're einamitzivaisa.
If you choose to make a bracha, we don't
advise it, but if you do make a bracha,
amavoreiach loy hefsid. But again, the
word asher kidishanu mitzvotav is
beautiful. The only question is does the
word bitzivonu, is that true or not? And
here we have amavoreiach loy hefsid. Now
according to this analysis,
for a Sefardi who follows the Rambam and
that that nosim, even nosim don't make a
bracha on lulav, shofar, and sukka,
you're looking siman yud zayin regarding
tzitzis and siman taf kuf peh tes
regarding shofar. So if they don't make
a nosim don't make a bracha on
zman grama mitzvos,
so of course, those that follow that
minig, the men should not make a bracha
on a tallis shula even though you put it
on. Okay. Now before you apply this more
specifically, I will ask you one more
common shaila.
And that is
let's [clears throat] say a person comes
to shul in the morning and this is
negaya weekday or shabbos, he was
pushed, he was late, he was rushing to
shul, he gets to shul, he left his
tallis in the house.
So he's late on a tallis, he can't go
home and get it.
What do you do if you have no tallis
godol for shachris? Shabbos, it was a
bad weather, he doesn't want to go to
the regular shul, he comes to your shul,
there's no tallis, and he doesn't have a
tallis.
How could how does he wear the tallis?
Or he has a simcha bikitza, he needs a
tallis godol that he doesn't have.
So the question is,
is there anything wrong if he goes over
to someone that he knows
and I should mention make sure he's not
a mafnik, but would you mind if I borrow
your tallis?
He says, "Mind? I'm very happy. Take my
tallis, put it back when you're
finished. It's a great zchus."
Question
is anything anything problematic about
that exchange? Now he has
this this has your tallis with reshus
bitzivonu.
Anything wrong with him making a bracha
on it?
You think what's wrong? It's a kosher
tzitzis.
What's wrong? What's wrong? He said I'd
like to borrow your tallis.
So your tallis
is a tallis shula. So there's no
mitzvah. And if he follows the Rambam,
he can make a bracha on it. Isn't that
the same thing?
And that seems to be correct. However,
the same rush
says liner
that when is there a concept problem
like the gemara says, he borrows a
tallis. Tallis means tallis she'eina
metzuyetzes. He borrows our comfies. But
if you borrow tallis metzuyetzes, every
tallis that we have tallis metzuyetzes,
zogt the rush, you're allowed to be
yoitze be yoitze the mitzvah with it and
even make a bracha. Why?
I he said, "Lemaissa, I would like to
borrow it."
Zogt the rush, but if you know, you the
ba'alim know that he wants to make a
bracha and do a mitzvah,
then you can't just give it to him
bitzivonu.
Because there's no mitzvah. So there's
an umdena you gave it bitzivonu as makan
maslacha chazer.
And therefore it's his. If it's his, you
can make a bracha.
>> [clears throat]
>> And the rush has a raya. The gemara in
Moed Katan chavam beis says if someone
borrows a cholek, a beged,
nothing with tzitzis.
And nebach, he found out his father was
passed away. So he can't rice kria on
the beged. I he was given it to wear.
Tarris says, "Yeah, given it to wear,
but not to rice kria." But let's say he
said, "I'm going he's going to visit his
father who's deathly ill, can I borrow
your beged?"
So you understand that he might need it.
Then he's allowed to make kria. What do
we see? If it's understood what he needs
it,
it's like he gave it to him.
Zogt the rush, who are then here? If you
borrow a tallis godol to be yoitze the
mitzvah, not just put her on for a half
a moment for an aliya, you need a
mitzvah. There's an automatic umdena,
automatic amanaslacha chazer.
And guess what? We're back to dalid
minim.
Just like the velt knows that the first
day has to be lachem, so how could you
be yoitze taking someone else's dalid
minim?
The tarris says
Adam, since it has to be lachem, there's
an umdena you gave it bitzivonu as
amanaslacha chazer. And who are then our
very case? So now we have basically two
concepts. Tallis she'eina metzuyetzes is
patur. We said you could be a
einamitzivaisa make a bracha maybe, but
tallis metzuyetzes, if you borrow it
leshem mitzvah, it's yours. Make a
bracha, it is yours. And that's the
mechaber in the end of sim gimmel, shala
kishaim metzuyetzes, mevareiach leha
miyad.
Now let's apply this lemaisa and I'll
I'll ask you two questions again that
that crystallize the point even more.
Let's say you know someone, interesting
fellow, he has a frock.
Like a patu we used to call it, now
called frock. And it has dalid comfies
and he didn't round it up, he put on
tzitzis on them.
He wants to raise a lot of money on
Purim, he goes around with a frock with
tzitzis, you make a lot of money.
A few years he did this mitzvah, he did
this collecting and made money, but the
guy burnt out. So you want to borrow it
from him
and this year you want to collect with
the frock with tzitzis. And that's it's
an obvious
fine. [clears throat]
So he says bitzivonu you want to borrow
it for Purim here, I'm giving it to you.
Fine.
You got you you have a little bit of an
interesting mishegas by mincha, you want
to wear the the frock leshem mitzvah.
And you put on the frock, you want to
make a bracha on the frock.
And it's perfect, dalid comfies, perfect
tzitzis. Can you make a bracha on it?
So then why not?
I
This is tallis metzuyetzes. I'll tell
you why not. Cuz you told him you want
to make money with his funny costume.
You didn't tell him that you want to
make a bracha on it. Did he give it to
you amanaslacha chazer like you like he
gave a tallis in the morning? Did he
give you like dalid minim?
Zogt the taz, sim katan dalid, when do
this this trick amanaslacha chazer is an
automatic umdena? When he knows
that you wanted leshem mitzvah. Now he
doesn't give that mashal because they
wasn't in exist, but this I think is a
beautiful mashal.
But let me give you a better mashal and
much more practical.
Let's say
you got an Eretz Yisrael, it's much more
common cuz in chutz la'aretz we don't
duchen that often, so everything is done
with a little more more foresight. But
let's say a person that they they're
about to go up to the Kohanim for
duchaning and this kohen is running up
to the duchan, he has no he has no
tallis. He goes, "Can I borrow your
tallis?"
He said, "Sure." You give him the
tallis.
Okay.
Now you don't know how frum he is. This
bachur makes a bracha on the tallis
before he duchans.
We'll soon see if that's oiska machar
dayis, but he makes a bracha.
Can that bachur make a bracha on the
tallis
before he before he duchans? Hopefully
there's no tircha cuz the tzibur waiting
for him.
So here this is the same problem. Cuz
you didn't know that he's frum make a
bracha on a tallis leshem duchaning.
So you didn't give it to him leshem
mitzvah, you gave it to him leshem
kinyan ativah. And indeed, the bachur
cannot make a bracha.
So we have the following that the side
that lemaisa you have to know
when you were you when why you're giving
it. But it is much healthier if
[clears throat] whenever you need a
tallis godol, you ask the person, "Can
you give it to me amanaslacha chazer?"
Don't say I'm borrowing it, I will take
it, that's a much better approach. But
now let's apply this more more
specifically.
First of all, when [clears throat]
someone needs a tallis godol for
davening as we said, so you might take
the easy way out and say, "You know
what? I'm going to wear it. I'm not
going to be kohen it. I'm not going to
ask him. I'll just wear it it looks
good."
That's foolish.
Because you can be davening without the
mitzvah of tzitzis. Now lemaisa,
[clears throat] it's better to get the
mitzvah. Now how do you do that? So that
we saw, you go over to someone that owns
a tallis. Again, it's important
[clears throat]
today very many are mafnik, they don't
like others wearing their tallis.
Don't put him on the spot.
>> [clears throat]
>> Say, "Listen, I understand if not, but
are you mafnik at all?" If his reaction
is like, "Nah, don't worry."
Take the tallis.
Let him give it to you amanaslacha
chazer.
And then it's suscha.
If he just [clears throat] says, "Can I
borrow the tallis?"
then you're running into prob. If you
say I'm borrowing the tallis, you're
running into a problem. You have to come
on to the umdah. Now, the question is
that bothered me personally and I still
don't have a terrace.
The rush is telling us a side or a fact.
Let me explain.
Ask the next 10 people, not big to me to
come, next average people. Do you know
that when someone borrows your tallis,
he has to borrow it on an ashla hazah?
So [clears throat] some people might
look at you like you're confusing tallis
with aluminum.
But is that common knowledge?
The rush is based on the side that when
you
need a tallis,
you and the person know that you have to
be kind with it with the king and
government ashla hazah. Is that fact or
totally in a mess?
I don't know if that's the mess or not.
If it's not, then you can't make an
umdah
if there's no umdah. So that's why again
it's much better off to say I need a
tallis l'shem mitzvah. Can you give it
to me on an ashla hazah? And he might
still have to get a little suspicious
that you're being too aggressive. You
want my tallis? I should give it to you?
Tell him it's just for the hour or so.
I'll give it back to you. But the maisa,
the mister brewer does quote a task for
a different reason. Task and Yamsul
slimer for a different reason. They're
not too happy with this umdah.
In other words, you took it taco you
took it to wear the tzitzis to wear the
tallis. But who said the umdah is that
he's giving them ashla hazah? So it's
much healthier and much smarter to speak
out the fairish. I would like to borrow
your tallis. Can you give it to me on an
ashla hazah? The person understands.
Fine.
Why is he giving me the ashla hazah? Why
am I going to give you my tzitzis?
Forget this. Forget the
the Yamsul slimer has another time.
Tzitzis is not a mitzvah chiyuvus.
Like Korea. It's mitzkiyuvus. So if you
can't do it, you can't do it.
>> [clears throat]
>> Now, the maisa, let's say
you borrowed someone's tallis and you
forgot to speak it out. Afterwards you
go back to him. You shouldn't do it like
that cuz Nerving says, "By the way, when
you give me tallis, do you give me on an
ashla hazah?" He goes, "Not me. Never
heard of that."
So you feel terrible. Is there any way
to salvage your mitzvah and your bracha?
So remember we always have the emergency
hatch called the rush
and toises that even if it's a beggar
oola,
but it's not worth any ain mitzvah oisa
and you have that what to fall back
onto. But why do things as a bidi avid?
Again, the way the big bias says, "Say
I'm
Please give it to me. Don't lend it to
me." Again, he might get a little
suspicious. Explain it. It won't cost
him much. Don't worry.
What's possible kipsute? And this
happens in the camp quite often that the
bachams [clears throat] tzitzis tear,
they have no other pair of tzitzis. We
tell them borrow from a roommate and
kabrusa, but make it on an ashla hazah.
Don't forget. Otherwise, you don't have
a mitzvah.
Next group of questions is the
well-known beloved tallis shul kahol.
>> [clears throat]
>> How did that fit into the big picture?
Cuz the choyra,
the fact that it belongs to a tzibur of
100 people makes it 100 people, but not
me.
So if tallis shul doesn't work, why is
tallis kahol any better? Like I care, it
should be worse.
So the makara of tallis kahol is not out
in the gemara. It's the It's the
rishonim. The Mordechai in Orach Chaim
siman taf kuf nun in the end of zach
menachos.
He's going on the concept that a beggar
shul shutz vim
is chiyuv in tzitzis. Now, let's say two
people own one beggar. This is the old
days when there was poverty, it was
common. They share the tallis
gadol. You dove shacharis, I dove
mincha,
and shabbos maariv.
Tallis shul shutz vim is chiyuv in
tzitzis.
What's the assumption? Because I'm a
ba'al em and you're a ba'al em.
Zoch the Mordechai,
therefore me can raya the tallis shul
kahol to chiyuv in tzitzis.
In other words, and you can make a
bracha on tallis shul kahol. The shutz
vim chiyuv
and therefore mitzarich bracha.
So the the achronim are saying something
very briefly, but very very important
that a tallis shul kahol is like a
tallis of shutz vim,
which means we all own it.
So now it is in fact my tallis.
Now, the maisa,
how gufa?
How does that work? If some some other
people own it.
So the teres has to be as long as you
have a ba'al em,
you're fine.
So it's not any different than tallis
shul shutz vim. And taco, the alacha is
you make a bracha on a tallis shul shutz
vim.
The tallis shul shutz vim is like a cup.
The problem is if you have a big
kehilla, a few hundred members, so
there's no way that each has a shava
pruta of ba'al em.
So how does it work?
But I'll ask you a much more simple
question. You usually dove in shul
plenty. This shabbos there was a big
storm, a lot of snow, you can't walk
there. You dove in in shul almighty. You
walk in and you say, "Can I have a
tallis?" Sure, we have a special tallis
for all our guests. Here it is.
Question. If the hector of if the tour
the mitzvah of tallis shul kahol is that
you're a member and you have a ba'al em,
you're not a member. You have no You
have the moment to share.
>> [clears throat]
>> So this is probably why the Derech
Chaim, who lived many years after Orach
Chaim,
in dinei tzitzis shul akam sim gimmel,
he says you make a bracha on tallis shul
kahol.
And he gives a new reason. And the
reason is that a tallis shul kahol was
donated and is maintained because
anybody that needs a tallis in this
shul, we are user-friendly, you have it.
So [clears throat] there about died to
the choyri, the person donated it and
the shul keeps it up, so you should have
a tallis when you need it.
Zoch to be alacha in the Maskil Shailah,
why did the Derech Chaim have to add two
rishonim?
The rishonim say shutz vim. That's a
good reason. Why do you need a new
reason after an acheidis?
Zoch to be alacha, beautiful. Because
let's say you have a big kehilla and
there's no shava pruta for each person,
then it doesn't work. But if the svara
is we want you to have it when you need
it, so if you need it now, it is yours.
Maybe kulai shiloy.
Because it's now yours.
Now, the second af kamina does not say
in be alacha, but it's possible choyri
that if you walk into a shul that you
have no financial obligation to it,
you're not a member,
it wouldn't be a shutz vim, but it would
be the same yisod. And taco, shuls I saw
someone told me
in a shul that he went into recently,
there's
lettering that was added to the tallis.
It cost them a few dollars. Got them
after writing it out.
Muta l'varech al al tallis zeh.
>> [clears throat]
>> This is called tallis.
It has it becomes a mamish a
tallis that belongs to the one that uses
it. So it could could be today Yankel
and tomorrow Chaim. As long as they use
it, it's theirs.
I'm not saying you have to write that,
but it's a good idea that when the
person donates the tallis to the shul,
he's giving it to whomever may concern.
There's an automatic hakna from the
ba'al em or the shul to the user and it
becomes kulai shiloy.
So this is the two af kaminas, the two
reasons, but I must mention, which is
obvious, that before you make a bracha
on tallis shul kahol, make sure it is
kosher.
The be alacha in siman ches sim tes in
his times, he writes about the tallis
shul kahol, it's motzi ma'oid that it's
not just seen better days, but it's not
kosher.
So you have to check, make sure it's
kosher. We always advise people people
start counting the strings.
A much more efficient way is check by
the the neck area by the hole where the
where the strings go into it. If any of
the any of them are are torn, then the
tallis is passul cuz torn means
a whole string, one of four, is passul.
So check there. If there's problems
there, then don't bother checking the
bottom. But basically before you make a
bracha, you have to make sure the tallis
is kosher. Now, of course there's a
beautiful
warm some sefer. He says that in on zach
the sukkah that it that was very common
until mamish till recently, we still saw
this that every kehilla had a dalad
minim for sukkos because people couldn't
afford a dalad minim. They had guests,
whatever it is.
So the sefer says that after a few days
your esrog looks more like a map than an
esrog. It's multi-colored. It's used.
He said, "That's the That's the yoyfi.
That's the hidur of the esrog."
So about it.
But when a tallis is passul, that's not
a yoyfi. He was talking about something
that's maybe lacking hidur. So the fact
that it was used by by tens of Eden
gives it the hidur. But at the end of
the day, make sure the tallis is kosher.
Again, the analogy of dalad of a tallis
shul kahol by tzitzis is like a dalad
the the dalad minim kahol. Every kehilla
has a dalad minim. It becomes a built-in
automatic matana on an ashla hazah.
Now, we would wonder about a privately
owned shul
or privately owned yeshiva.
Now, even though by this shul when the
when the rav makes a ma'amar, he says,
"It's your shul and we're there for you
and
and you know, everything wonderful." But
who owns it financially? The rav or the
whoever the yeshiva whoever owns the
yeshiva.
So then [clears throat] you don't have
the regular dine of shutz vim.
Just like the the poskim say that Magan
Avraham says if you find an aveida in in
a beis knesses,
it doesn't belong to the beis knesses
cuz ain chatza
the beis knesses l'hegdish.
You find an aveida in a shul, it doesn't
belong to the shul. But a
private shul,
there is a chatza. The only reason why
the the private person is not kind of
the aveida is because it's chatza
l'meiris.
But be that as it may, I saw Rav
Steinberg in chelek Avraham gimmel 98
and Rav Chaim Kanievsky on 23 both say
regarding yeshiva or a shul that indeed
if the maisa is privately owned, so then
you don't have a shut this in it. But,
and this is positive, the second reason
that we mentioned that it's there for
you, it's being it's an enough for the
one that uses it. You don't have to be a
member. You don't have to It could be
even a private show. Once there's a
user-friendly tallis gadol, you make a
brocha on it and don't worry.
Again, the best would be if the noddin
would would donate it. I'm an ass. It's
there for anybody who wants to have it.
It's an enough I'm an ass a hazard.
The next question is a biggest site for
other myths as well, and that is someone
is desperate. He comes to a shul.
Everybody's davening. He's late enough
as it is. He can't go home. The gabbai I
don't He doesn't He can't find the
gabbai or the shul's tallis.
Can he go to the the bema or wherever
the people keep their tallis size, take
out the nicest tallis, and wear it?
The bells start to ring for that one.
Not only is this a a problem of tzitzit,
this is what the says show show me
that's gossamer. In other words, we say
I'm using it, the I'll say you're
stealing it.
I come to me his
cook a year he told me. And once his so
one of the was playing with a toy that
wasn't his.
He goes, "Where did you get that from?"
He does give fun in.
So I promise you I said, "No I see
tonight you also need to phone in."
>> [clears throat]
>> And then we conveniently repackage it. I
didn't steal I found it. But that's
great. But definitely we say I'm
borrowing his tallis. I don't think so.
I mean that's
gossamer. You're not borrowing you're
stealing.
And this is a lot of
so good morning good morning good
morning.
So the question is how do we deal with
using someone else's tallis? This should
be a problem besides that it's not
tzitzit,
it's gossamer.
However, this is a rush and it's the
same rush has three bumble you cited.
So
the hug that they
tell us to have a very
I feel below your idea.
The minute we use someone else's tallis,
who are you?
Now the rush is so convinced it's
mother,
he can make a brocha. Now again, using
something without using something that's
not yours,
you could make a brocha something if you
hold that that ends the voice. But here
he's saying you got to make a brocha
because it becomes yours.
How did it become yours? You're taking
without resource. There's no dinner if
he's unaware of this whole this whole
idea.
But some of them and this is he's
paraphrasing more and and that's valid.
The English the minute you know my
money.
In other words,
with there's an
that a person is happy when you do a
myth with his efforts.
And he said the only thing is make sure
you put it back in the same place with
the same heroes. You have to make sure
cuz if you do it and you careless and it
gets ruined or dirty, you might not be
able to
you know make it
get to that soon.
But here the rush has a double dish. You
got to use it without resource. There's
no issue.
And it's so much yours you can make a
brocha.
Now it's not only the rush.
The smack and similar in the eyes
and the
all say the same you say. You could take
any tallis you want as long as you
return it to where you found it and we
assume
makes it yours.
Now the mice are
we have four we shine in using this one
of the clay.
And this is the
in C valid. Mother little tallis
or the clay lamb. Over budget couple or
some in much more palace. You have to
make an
you get to that soon.
Now the question is
how does
it work?
So one of my kind of find would say
for a myth. In other words,
if you say can I use your sweater
without resource?
That's your That's kind of
cuz you don't have resource. I he would
have let
but he didn't. He doesn't know about it.
But a myth
a person is his heart is
baked out. In other words, it it's
mommies as if there's a conscious does I
want you to do a myth with my efforts.
That that's beautiful.
No problem of I understand.
But how does it work
as far as the
as far as the tzitzit?
Much more
if you take someone valid mean him
on on the rest of you without resource.
Then I understand that works cuz it's
not cuz it's
So now it doesn't have to be why not?
But we're talking about tzitzit that has
to be yours. There's no there's no
person to make an he doesn't know about
your borrowing of his tallis.
So listen to this. Comes again the
you've gotten on this
I have no problem.
The mice are it's not yours.
I happen to be a
our favorite emergency hatch. You are
now an material of a voice.
You're like an Easter my grandma.
And therefore is my grandma from
you could borrow it and you make a
brocha even because that's what we said.
So my grandma tell me when you borrow
someone's tallis and he doesn't know
about it using it as
there's no cuz of
I what's the head to make a myth
only a voice.
Now this is not satisfying but two good
reasons at least. Number one, your myth
is severely diminished.
Cuz the voice is not as big as the
voice. So you got to be a better
investor and find a better myth.
But more than that and this is the
goddess of
who paid attention to every nuance.
You tell me the
in C A
that they say you got to make a brocha
tallis tallis that you use as
it makes a brocha. The holds like the
bomb
that that we don't say but you don't.
Because the mice are you don't make a
brocha on
on my my grandma from the ocean. The
hold you can't make a brocha if you are
there. No don't make a brocha.
So how could he all of a sudden here
hold
that you make a brocha and the voice?
So this is the problem with this talk.
And the
is not
but how does it become tzitzit?
And talk to Mr.
And see you download for a different
reason says
don't take it without resource and make
a brocha. He says better
take it.
Don't have to worry about it to be
and wear it just to look good.
But you can't make a brocha when it's
not yours. Especially
the sheet.
Now the mice are
give it away on this and says, "So what
do you tell me to do? Take the tallis
just wear it to look nice so you won't
look won't stick out and no problem."
Cuz there is a problem. What's the head
to touch someone else's tallis
on this? You need to know my money not
for sure until.
So you got to have everything figured
out to the last T.
The mice are
I I did think I hope it's correct that
maybe we'll take the ice cream back in a
heart a step further.
Just like we said you a person who's
sleeping in bed he has no idea you
exist. You take his tallis. Oh, I'm so
happy
using my tallis. Do you know this eat?
No. Do you know anything about it? No,
but good enough. Why can we say there's
an ice cream back in a heart that if
anybody ever needs my tallis since he's
only if it's his, I'm giving him an
automatic I'm an ass a hazard.
Now I didn't find this in the
but the first time
in C you'd
and more specifically the
in
or camel he says as
when you buy a tallis, you have a mind
you know.
That if the animal ever needs it, I'm
giving it to him from now. I'm buying it
for myself and for him.
Whoa, beautiful obviously so. But if you
say that approach, then I understand why
it works. Because just like the
makes it that there's no gossamer, I got
show show me that's gossamer. Maybe the
works for this as well. And I'm
basically there is an automatic
I hope that's correct. But we're not out
of the woods yet.
Because the whole assumption is still
severely lacking one basic element.
And that is
what's the head to
to use someone else's bag head anything
for that matter?
What's the head to I show show me that's
gossamer.
The terrorists is me to have a myth
override that.
Now here we say hello.
The show on and I will see you in C and
base
who is from the deck. The
from from
from Iraq. The show all the commander
and many others. But I'm showing how a
universal this concern is.
Question today in those days today even
more so tough to pay above. Let's talk
tallis. Is there a is there an
people have no problem with you using
their tallis?
I mean sometimes a person
you know, sweats a lot by davening. He
puts tallis over his head at all times.
And you know, people do I don't need his
perspiration his lies his danger of you
know, the whole of the whole of you.
So the show on he says
that maybe they were talking when a
person left the tallis on the table
unfolded he left it on uncared for no
maybe. But if person put his tallis back
in the tallis in the in the bema,
what right you have to take without
resource?
He says the fair and then the harbor
might feed him is there.
And if then it's C if you'd base he
comes back to it. He says the mice are
yes yes I just get so
show show me that's gossamer.
And I'll say number back near to him
and better down without a talis. That's
how much the show shul can feel that the
etzem hector is non-existent.
Again, you know, think about it. It's
not like you're wearing a sweater, it's
going over his head, then it's a hat.
Whatever the Whatever the concerns are,
but a person is a little more sensitive,
especially if the COVID. Some people are
still very sensitive. The Ben Ish Chai
says we see
that people are makpid like how many
makpid atzmi that I don't let
The Shulchan Aruch says don't take
someone else's
so people are makpid.
And Moshe
got a different context. He talked about
wearing a talis, carrying talis on
Shabbos. What's the heter? Why is it a
chorah? So Moshe Feinstein gets into the
case in
he says when is something mutar
or nichlei if it's an umda gemura, that
means it's not just the majority of
people. It has to be all people.
When is it an umda gemura that you can
make it you can use someone else's thing
when there's an umda gemura?
He says, "No, if someone else's talis is
on the table, maybe he lets, but using a
talis stam is only mutar if you could
say nobody minds." Now, I ask you, is
the fact nobody minds?
Say what you want, but this is a
concern.
The Tzitz Eliezer
Siman Zayin he also proves from other
poskim that there's no nichlei and he
adds something maybe perhaps cute, but
it's very penetrating. He says, "Why
were Yidden zocheh to the mitzvah of
tzitzis?
Because Avraham said
"I shouldn't
because of the flag of Yidden."
The Avraham was so careful in money
matters, he didn't take a shoelace or
even a string that wasn't his.
So we got the mitzvah of tzitzis because
of the heirus
in Choshen Mishpat.
So people imagine you're going to take
someone else's talis without a resource.
And what about Choshen Mishpat today?
Doesn't exist.
So this is why
the might there are too many problems
with borrowing a talis that without
resource of the violin. Number one,
first as we saw, is there really an
umda? Maybe there's an oiskebaken umda,
maybe. Number two, the gezal aspect
which is even worse.
And Mishna Berurah adds another point.
Even if you hold it's mutar to use
someone else's talis without resource,
but if you could be mevarer, then first
be mevarer.
Now, in the old days, it was hard to
mevarer, but today it's something called
a cell phone. If the talis has someone's
phone number, give him a call, ask him.
Manasha. But the maiseh, that's why it's
not advisable to use someone's talis
without resource. Better
look for a different talis, talis shel
kol, ask from a from a yachid.
Now, interestingly enough, using
tefillin without resource is the same
heter. Chasam Sofer says tefillin is a
nichlei.
I hope that's still true today, but
there it's a much easier shaila. Cuz
once by tefillin or any other mitzvah,
you get get over the problem of of of
gezal,
there's no din of lachem, no din of
chsusam. The real problem is by dal
meaning the first day
and by tzitzis there's always lachem or
chsusam, whatever you call it.
So that's why regarding a talis,
there's a chashash gezal perhaps,
definitely a chashash of mitzvah.
Magain Avraham concedes it's only
ainamitzvasoisa which is a pella. So
that's why before you use someone else's
talis, better get resource.
The question we began with was someone
made a bracha
on a talis someone else's talis by
mistake and now lemaiseh
the question is was the bracha chal? Is
it Does he have to make another bracha?
Does he have to Can he Can he use his
talis?
So this is a simple case of talis
people that took someone else's thing
without resource.
Is the gezal nichlei?
We might say
that there's nichlei. I hope that's
correct. But why go on continue wearing
it? If your talis is right there, take
off to his talis, put it down, and take
your talis.
The question is is the bracha chal
mafre as a bracha of a tola because he
had no resource?
That we'll say first of all me then we
pasken you're allowed to use it. Number
two, ainamitzvasoisa,
the bracha is chal.
So the bracha would not be levatola, it
was chal on the talis.
The question is you want to put on your
own talis
and you need a new bracha because you
made a bracha on talis A, not talis B.
Although you made a mistake, but you had
no das for this talis.
So you can make another bracha, you want
to wait till someone else comes and
makes a bracha, have might to you,
Maiseh shel
someone on the Yom Kippur, he realized
during Shemoneh Esrei, he shouldn't have
checked, but he realized during Shemoneh
Esrei he's wearing someone else's talis.
And he said he was in agony. I'm
thinking the Yom Kippur, the most
heilige
hour of the year and now I have someone
else's
talis.
So this we told him afterwards, of
course, lemaiseh here there's a bigger
heter than stam nichlei. Cuz this is
this is the sugia of the the Bava Basra
and it's Choshen Mishpat Siman Kuf Lamed
Vav. The Shulchan Aruch says it's chalfu
bigdeihem,
if you swap with someone else's, so
you're not allowed to use it without
resource.
Because you have his, he has yours.
Unless we could assume that both know
that it was it was exchanged, which is
very common by tzitzis, and both have a
vested interest that it should work. But
how is it going to work? I have his, he
has mine. Parents will make a mutual
mechila and shalom Yisrael.
And this I saw in the Birkas Habayis
Siman Zayin Chaf is if they both
don't mind that he use it until I get it
back, we have a heter of
poshit as if it was given over bematana
amanah lechazara. So that was an easier
shaila.
A bachur in yeshiva asked me this shaila
and it deserves to be clarified cuz it's
a bigger side.
He davens for the amud never his
tachshanum and he has to daven every day
shacharis. Every day shacharis he makes
he puts on a talis gadol for an hour
plus. He davens an hour, an hour and a
quarter.
Could he make a bracha on the talis?
Now, of course we know a talis
that that a bachur doesn't Most bachurim
don't wear a talis gadol for davening.
The Magen Avraham says it's a
smachta in the pasuk "Gedolim
ansich kishisha." Lemaiseh Sefardim do
wear and Yekkes don't wear. I got a
source, interestingly enough, the Levush
Mordechai in the Teshuvah, he quotes
an aidus from
Rav Moshe that in their Beis Midrash the
bachurim wore a talis.
This is the chelek Beis Siman Beis
Levush Mordechai. Talis with an atifa
over the head. But okay, I'm not
changing minhagim.
But the bachur says, "I'm wearing a
talis anyhow for an hour plus. Why
shouldn't I make a bracha on it?"
So lemaiseh, here we come to an
interesting point that if you're wearing
it lesheim tzibbur,
there's more of a tzadd not to make a
bracha. Now,
this is not so poshit. Let me let me
clarify this.
We hope one day to go give a whole shiur
about this because there's so many
different scenarios.
But the Magen Avraham and Sefer Chaim
quotes Yanshutz Shlaima in Chulin Ches
perek Ches Siman Nun Gimel,
im laisha laalis the Torah or laavor
lifnei hateiva, einam mevarer.
Zogt the Magen Doctor Yanshutz Shlaima,
do you make a bracha when it's lesheim
mitzvah? When it's lesheim tzibbur, it
could be a duchaning, an aliyah, a baal
koreh,
you don't make a bracha. You're doing it
lesheim tzibbur.
But it doesn't stop there.
Aval haRosh the Halachos Ketanos mashma
oivel lifnei hateiva mevarer, zogt the
Magen Avraham.
More so, the Magen Avraham quotes Piskei
Tosfos in Menachos
that if you mesachek betalis,
you make a bracha on it.
So
lemaiseh, the whole concept of tzibbur
being patur from a bracha is machlokes
shnuya. Magen Avraham swore to the
Yanshutz Shlaima, but found two rishonim
not like the Yanshutz Shlaima.
>> [clears throat]
>> So now it's a whole different story.
Now, but I collected, if you know, I
collected a number of poskim
from the Magen Avraham ad
Rav Chaim Kanievsky, Rav Ovadia, that
all say
put it on lesheim mitzvah and also
lesheim tzibbur and make a bracha.
But we don't need more than the poskim
acharonim, Mishna Berurah and Sefer
Chaim Olam Alive
quotes there this day you don't make a
bracha on a for duchaning lemasal, a
talis of an ish prati.
But a talis shel kol,
afile laisha rak laavor lifnei hateiva
or laalis the Torah, the Torah, even for
an aliyah, you make a bracha because the
talis shel kol was given for you to use
it in any way you need it. And if you
want to make a bracha, it's the amanah
lechazara.
So it's not like we we're we we're
ignoring minhag. The minhag seems to be
in those days that he made a bracha when
he did it lesheim mitzvah.
Now, I am aware that that some poskim
say don't make a bracha dafka.
But here's the question. He's putting it
on for an hour anyhow.
So why can't he just have it lesheim
mitzvah? Now, of course, he has to make
sure the talis is kosher, number one.
Number two, it's not layla. If you wear
it for mincha when it's already safek
layla, then don't make a bracha.
When lemaiseh he should make an atifa,
we'll soon see about that. And the ikkar
is if he wants to
lesheim mitzvah,
that's much better.
But lemaiseh, there is definitely a
tzadd to say that even though
a bachur typically does not wear a
talis, again, that's a minhag which some
question. We we don't wear talis as
bachurim, but it's nothing no issur
bedavka. Now, people quote or misquote,
the Gemara says in Kiddushin Chaf Beis
Lamed Beis that a bachur shelo nasah
ishah lo hayah machaseh rosho. Afile
talmid chacham.
So how could this bachur
make a bracha on the talis? He has to
make an atifa, put towels over his head.
We don't do that. But
the American TV 76
The guy is not talking about a tallis
gadol. He's talking about a a a hat
that's sort of like a hat of like, you
know, the
some type of a special hat. So if it's
done the same
a brock doesn't wear it.
But for a brock to wear an atifa on the
tallis is some type of an issue.
Now
the guy from is is is talking a case
where no one does it. But if he's
wearing it anyhow for the hour plus
and there's no you are up, they're
making atifa just to be able to make the
brock,
then it doesn't seem to be a problem.
Now
what I what I do what I do think I'm
sensitive to is when a brock gets up in
the Shiva that nobody else makes a brock
on the tallis. He gets up before he gets
a liar and makes an atifa, makes a
brock.
He's in implying that, you know, I'm
smarter than you and you're don't know
what to do much. That's you are up.
So if a brock were to get up when he
when this brock and put a tallis on
beraben, make a brock on it, maybe
it's lacking
maybe it's lacking you are up, maybe
both. But if he wants to put it on in
his room but seen up and make a brock on
it and have a mitzvah for an hour plus,
why not? Why should we take a mitzvah
mitzvah? He's doing it anyhow. He's not
doing something strange. You know, I I
tell the brock the
the the guy from Nash who was called
cool a year
cool cool a dick to get in.
But he writes he makes a point of
writing. He says should be very be
be careful. So
this is one of the letters. Don't do
something that's mashona. Don't do
something that's different.
Because the person has something
different, he's got he's leaving the
misgaris of a seaboard.
And he writes so my my way it
So do do things that are differently we
don't like to do. But if he's wearing a
tallis anyhow, he's not sticking out and
the there would be a maker, he can make
a brock. Now someone told me but who
said that not one of them give it a
tallis to call for this brock that is
making a brock on his on his tallis. I
said why not? They're doing it to make a
concern.
Now whether it is the minute I don't
know, but if someone asked me he wants
to do it to have the extra of a mitzvah
for the for the hour plus for the love
of brock. In fact, the Mr. Brewer the
guy from the
in Simon
C dollar
he he has a problem.
He says if you put on a tallis
call just and you forgot to have to be
able to do the mitzvah
then you move out of the mitzvah. You
have a mitzvah in your hands and you're
not doing it.
So how can we put on a tallis for an
hour and have a mind just the same
now? Maybe
okay, if you do a
you're not
it's not a mitzvah.
Can say. But why go through the bother
all of that like for what reason?
I don't know. I would think again not
change a minute
do it in a private area, but if you do
make a brock, the fact that it is
covered is enough to make a brock, don't
forget. That's the
and countless
but if you're doing it mitzvah a
he would be the brock would be a correct
brock. Let me ask you an interesting
riddle. How is it
someone made
a brock and
and what's it tallis today
and tomorrow it became possible?
That doesn't sound reasonable. How could
it become possible? A check bounces, how
does a mitzvah bounce?
I'll tell you very possible. So
if you caught the base the following, if
you borrow someone's tallis, he gave it
to you I'm going to ask for a house
there. There's one very important
precondition. He has to get it back
exactly the way he gave it. He doesn't
need it to be dirty or torn. Let's say
Mr. Brewer, let's say a little one of
the
one string torn off a part of a small
piece of it. Still kosher.
Like Mr. Brewer
sorry, you can't give it back as it is.
You have to either fix it or buy a new
one, whatever it is or compensate him,
whatever it is.
So why?
Because it's not
and he says
if you give it back as it is you're not
the mitzvah.
Now this is the guy from the
guy from the guy from the guy from the
guy from
If you didn't give it back to him in a
timely manner, whatever it is, you
didn't keep the night
even if it's an honest
then you're not the mitzvah. As I stated
Mr. Brewer
So now this is a beautiful riddle. But
my next question is this fellow never
gets a bounce.
So quickly he should compensate the
person.
Person
and then it's fine. But here's the next
question. Let's say
the guy got torn.
And he didn't think of compensating him.
The mitzvah bounced. How about the
brock? Does the brock also become a
brock of a prayer?
So Mr. Brewer doesn't make mention the
word brock at all at all. The guy from
says if you don't return it the way you
found it, it's a you're not a mitzvah.
It's a brock of a tall.
Now could be
the guy from the guy from the guy from
the guy from
There's a famous
someone washed for bread. Now you only
make a
if you can have a a
of bread going to the
but a
like most places.
The person washed and thinking to have
bread. He made a the bread didn't taste
good. It was too old, whatever it is. He
wants to change his mind, program like
they say, have a regular
meal, make a brock on the other foods
but no bread.
So
but then
the brock the guy from the guy from the
guy from the So no. The guy from made
the brock was the
guy from the guy from the guy from so
that's it.
The guy from the guy from the guy from
the guy from the guy from the guy from
the guy from the
And
a similar question. Someone saw a man
whatever it is took off a piece of
a fresh up.
And put on the side to burn it. Then
they put the the rest of the dough in
the oven.
And they come out looking looking
where's that little piece of a fresh up.
So little Yossi smiling says ma I did
this great thing. You left that piece of
dough out of the dough. I quickly put it
back in the dough before you made the
braiding. So now you have more dough.
And the mother shrieks. Now she has the
whole the whole dough
>> [clears throat]
>> is
also could be also
the guy from the guy from the guy from
the guy from if there's the actual a
fresh up. I bottle but how much bottle
in?
101 not not in right.
So what do you do? So the guy from the
guy from the guy from the guy from the
guy from the guy from the guy
What about the brock?
You can make a new brock on the new
batch. What about the old batch? There
was no such a fresh up. There it it was.
It was then the brock is it cannot
become ice.
Ice
ice brock and the brock of a tall.
So why should our case be different? The
you made a brock. You wore a tallis.
Unfortunately not careful
it bounced. Why should the brock bounce?
So could be the is in the other cases
the mitzvah is not
it's not us. If you don't follow so
don't worry about it then. You follow
so don't worry about it. But here it's
just like the mitzvah
maybe the brock is also if you have any
more information, please tell me.
Question. Someone gave you a tallis to
wear to take to wear
on the way to
you
accosted by two big
give me that tallis, money or your life.
You give him the tallis. Okay. What
could you do?
The question is
are you to pay for that tallis?
So this
our Simon
Simon
has this
he says technically
if you made it into
a house there
then
the is an honest
you take a part of it.
But
in this case he was talking about you
asked the guy
to use it. He said you could use it.
Who made up honest
this
which is very good. But you asked him to
use it. What is your status?
So you a soil is higher than soil.
So even though we acknowledge that made
an automatic
so then it's
automatic
it's a honest like it says in in the
spot.
But this
you made a soil. It doesn't override
soil. It adds to soil a cooler. But
you're still back to a regular ordinary
soil and soil is higher than soil.
I must leave you with one more soil.
This is not soil. It's a story. It's
dripping from
an inspiration and and and the hero is
in the guy from the guy from the guy
from the guy from the guy from the guy
from the guy from the
in it's a guy from the guy from the guy
from the guy from the guy from the guy
from the guy from
This guy from the guy from the guy from
the guy from the guy from the guy from
the guy
So he told the guy from the guy from the
guy from the guy from the guy from the
It's in the you can take it out. It's
mine. You could use it.
Okay. No they did not bury it. They kept
it there. Use it. It's kosher. Fine.
Two days later the guy from the guy from
the guy from the guy from the guy from
the guy from the guy from the guy
I was by a I was a
and I was wearing my tallis. The
guy from the guy from the guy from the
guy from the guy
The guy from the guy from gave it to
that person and didn't say a word. The
person was a Amora's type of assumed.
And just put it on the table and left.
And then I So I picked it up because of
my tallis.
Then I started having reservations. I
gave it to Amonas la hazan. He never
gave it back to me. It's not mine.
I can't be out to me to teach it not to
him. But then again, I told the Avia
band to tell the father that person. He
didn't tell it to him. But then again, I
gave it to him but tonight. So who said
the tonight doesn't work?
So I decided I can't deal with this. I'm
putting it in James.
But then a relative came from Russia who
needed tallis. I gave it to him. I was
so
that it never it never felt
went into effect the Amonas la hazan.
But then again, he said the fact that I
gave it off he says, "Maybe takka
there's no problem. You could wear it."
Two days later, "Did you buy a new
tallis yet?" He goes, "No." "Maybe you
should."
So he said, "But I make a brocha my
tallis katan and amoti to tallis gadol."
So the type says, "Every day you make a
brocha tallis katan now? Just because it
is shaila? It's also no good. Do me a
favor. Buy a new tallis."
So he have a more Amonas la hazan that
would EVEN PREVENT THE BAYLON from being
yoitza because it didn't come to
fruition. So think about that. I got to
talk to you all.
Shame to tell you to share the mission
today's share.
I like to have you guys close the
sponsor in the share. Please call the
agency at 218-851-8651
or email
[email protected].
The West Side today the shul is having
the annual appeal with the doctor code
of the sponsor that the join with the
code and carry it safe and it's so
Russia code of show taste you can see in
the hallway. Please be my staff by your
phone and I bought this tire limit of
tire of the code.
The 90 minute class is mostly in the
office of the self. You can tell me the
smell of the office of the yard of tire
of the yard.
Hey.
I would say now the share is over. We're
going to borrow some time for the
seeking of the borrowed tallis.
Just let's
let's discuss what we learned today by
the same tallis gadol and a tallis katan
has to be
We'll say the word lahem a borrowed term
but has to be yours. That's the given.
There's no on the tallis shula to lamid.
We did speak about a case which is very
negative. If a person is positive from
tallis from tzitzis on a tallis
shula and he puts it on anyhow and can't
make a brocha. So then we had it's an
Amonas la hazan and he can say the
tivonu. But in in essence, a beggar that
doesn't have
tzitzis Amonas la frag that's shula is
not in tzitzis with and that's why the
perm costume you can wear the tuxedo
without tzitzis because that's the of
either she shula or shiris or both.
Now we did also saw that a borrowed
tallis mitzu yet says which means a
regular tallis katan or gadol. So then
not only
are you allowed to wear it but you can
make a brocha. I it's not yours. There's
an Amonas la hazan that he gave it to
Amonas la hazan. So you have to take
care of it very carefully and return it
the way you got it. If
he gave it to you stam as a malbus to
wear and you decide to wear it mitzvah
or he gave it to you for
purposes and
you want to wear it mitzvah. If there's
no
that he know that you want to wear it
mitzvah, then it doesn't work and then
you can't make a brocha. That will be a
regular tallis shula.
You need You need a tallis at any time
tallis gadol or katan.
First of all, make sure the person out
of my phone that's obvious and then ask
him can I please give it to me with the
Amonas la hazan. Make it a canyon on
both ends and give it back to him and
he's takka coin it because now it is
his.
If there's a
I think if today people know this
automatic, so that's why it's best to
speak out with various tallis katan.
Again, you want to borrow someone's
tallis katan or gadol. I'm you're giving
it to me on a on a Amonas la hazan
condition.
A shul's tallis has two miles. Number
one, it's a
so it is yours and number two, it's
given just for you to be that I'm an
automatic Amonas la hazan. That's why in
a that's very big and you don't have a
service. A guest who's not part of the
or as we we we said also the in any
other situation that it doesn't work the
concept of automatic. But
if it was given but tonight originally
that it should be there for someone
else, a rather it works even though
you're not part of that
or you're not you don't have a in this
tallis at all.
A shul that a shul that has the tallis
has to be kosher. Check make sure it's
kosher. A privately owned shul or shiva.
They might not be a but we have the
second that is an
and it was given.
Niche lay. The English maybe it's a
minor takes away show show me that.
But we had a problem how to take away
the concern of
we hope there's such an Amonas la hazan
that he has a back in hearts to give it
to anybody who needs it. I hope that's
correct. But definitely at the main
problem is people are not putting on
tallis not that someone should not wear
without resource. So I would definitely
be wary about borrowing a tallis without
resource. Better take a tallis from a
shul or a yard. If you took the wrong
tallis or you swapped tallises, the
brocha was but try to get your own back.
But until you get your
back to yourself, we have a Amonas la
hazan with our mitzvah.
A Amonas la hazan as we said that the
the the brocha who wants to wear Anybody
wants to wear a tallis the same mitzvah
besides the same weight have a mind to
make a brocha, have a mind it should be
the same mitzvah, make an
and then the brocha is out. I forgot to
mention when someone wears a tallis at
night must have a
or on Yom Kippur. What's the best tallis
to wear? So
spells this out and so
spells out the tallis katan now.
Don't take your own tallis because it
might be because it's a beggar you're in
the night. Don't even take the tallis
tallis. Take the tallis tallis.
And this way it's a
this way I'm sorry take So take a
someone else's tallis and then it's a
validation.
The question what we mentioned if
someone damaged the tallis, he has to
pay for it because it's a
and we left with this shaila about if
the brocha is also the
when he did not make an out of it.
