what would you do if you're by a
four-way stop sign and it's your turn to
go and somebody cuts right in front of
you and you're about to slam on your
horn and start yelling but then you're
like wait a second I think I recognize
that car from somewhere and you look and
you see that it's really your father I
think that most of us would very quickly
switch our angry face to a smile and a
wave and I think that the reason we
would react so differently is because
you know that your father loves you and
he's not out to get you so you have a
much easier time rationalizing that he
was probably just distracted but when a
random person Cuts you off then you
always assume that he did it on purpose
and he's out to get me and he doesn't
respect me and my time and so you are
much more likely to take it personal and
get angry now think about it for a
second if you believe that Hashem is in
control of everything that happens then
when someone cuts you off really it's
your father in Heaven who loves you even
more than your biological father who's
cutting you off because even though of
course the driver had free choice to
choose to cut you off but Hashem only
allows people to actualize their choices
if anyways he knows that this is the
best possible thing that can happen to
you and so you know that even if this
driver wouldn't have chosen to cut you
off then Hashem still would have had a
billion other ways to send you this
exact amount of frustration so overall
the other driver is not causing you to
get any more annoyance that you would
have gotten regardless and so logically
when anyone Cuts you off you should be
even less angry than when your father
Cuts you off because not only is nobody
out to get you but it wasn't even a
mistake rather it's happening for a
reason because really it's incredibly
good for you so the next time anyone
Cuts you off then instead of honking
just remember it's really your father so
just smile back and waave
