Upper East Side: See The Good Campaign We came to the Upper East Side expecting to find beautiful shuls and an incredible Jewish community. We found a much bigger story. We found immigrant families in Yorkville fighting to build a future. We found Jews who succeeded in America without leaving Yiddishkeit behind. We found community leaders who used their influence to fight for Soviet Jews thousands of miles away. We found Ashkenazi and Sephardic communities building side by side. And we found thousands of young Jews still choosing to live, learn, date, marry, and build their Jewish lives right here in Manhattan. The buildings are beautiful. But that's not what makes this community special. It's generations of Jews refusing to disappear. Our responsibility now is the same as theirs was then. Be proud. Be visible. And keep building. See the Good.
