Is there like a dream project for Thank you, Hashem that that you want to manifest? >> I think my dream project for Thank you, Hashem is that we get called and are asked to uh produce the music for the base of Mikdash. >> Wow. >> This man is helping change the face of Jewish music. Mendy, can you tell me about Thank you Hashem music? >> Thank you Hashem music is [music] one of the central pillars behind Thank you Hashem, thank you Hashem movement, which is to spread uh happiness, positivity, [music] meaning into daily Jewish living. So the way we do that is throughout Torah, social media, online content and music. [music] Thank you. Music has really kind of taken off over the last few years. And [music] while so much of the music is very, I would say, catchy and poppy and, [music] you know, familyfriendly, there are surprisingly deep messages um in a lot of it. There are many messages in there which [music] if you listen to the song for the first time, you'll be like, "Oh, okay. He's singing about a Chihuahua." [laughter] But actually if you dig a little deeper and you understand what that's about and you know [music] it's actually something about the yetahara and how how to kind of handle the situations where the yahara or the chichi or the chihuahua [music] might come into your life. There's actually something behind it. >> What do you think the secret sauce is in the music that we're creating that's just making it spread like [music] wildfire? >> I feel like we don't break people up into these sections. We don't say okay well this is modern orthodox. >> [music] >> these people are kabad and and if you look through our music I was just thinking about this yesterday right now we have our songs [music] being played in Oman we have female artists and we've created a whole bunch of Jewish music that's by women for women being played in seminaries in Israel and we have 12 pesokin project which is you know based on a [music] campaign that the started and that's why our music is everywhere because we don't break the Jews down into different compartments we just say hey we see an important message in this we see an important message in that >> okay so I want to talk a little bit about the writing team, the Bloomstein brothers. Like they were writing songs for artists before Thank you Hashem was even a thing. So [music] songs that people know that are super popular. They don't and then they pretty much built Thank You Hashem and Thank you Hashem music. What energy do they bring to the table? What is that like special sauce that they have? You mentioned that you know they used to do this for other artists like professionally and I do feel there is a there's this magic that happens when you are writing or creating like I'm not writing a song for this person or hey well this is what's working right now let me write songs like this they are just stumbling into day-to-day things that inspire them [music] and saying okay I like this in a weird way the second you stop trying to [music] do something for a reason usually it will find its way. >> What do you think is unique about the five towns specifically? I think the music is coming out of the five towns. What do you think is special uniquely about this community that um just allowed for these kinds of [music] projects to really take off? >> I don't know. There definitely seems to be a certain I think open-mindedness here and um like a desire for more. I think people are done with kind of being on um [music] some kind of auto mode. Okay, these are the things we do in Judaism. We do them just keep going and repeat. It's like hold on a second. What if davening on Shabas [music] could be this most electrifying experience? And I've been to a lot of shores around the world. Don't make this statement lightly. I've never been to a shore uh that feels [music] the way it does ding kh. No one's there to get it done and go home. I think there's like this underlying uh [music] feeling of that throughout everything. >> If you've ever been impacted by a Think of Hashem song, by a Think of Hashem video, just know that there's a team, a hard dedicated working team behind the scenes making sure that this material is available. Show some love in the comment section and let us know what your favorite Thank you Hashem creation is. We'll see you next time.
