Thank You Hashem for Returning the Hostages | Rabbi Joey Haber, Rabbi Paysach Krohn & Joey Newcomb

Welcome everyone on behalf of Kazak. Welcome everyone to the global event today thanking Hashem for returning the hostages of course something that we've been thinking about for for the last two years and Hashem thank you Hashem um we've seen a major Yeshua salvation and we're going to we're going to hear tremendous words of inspiration from Pesa Cone of Joey Habber. Um, we're we're gonna say Ms. Mor Letoa, Ms. Morisoda, chapter 100, everybody together. So, of course, everyone, we're gonna say it a little bit later on in the program, but of course, everyone should get there to hills there as we're going to be saying it. Um, Rabbi Cron's going to be leading it by Puk, verse by verse. So, of course, everyone share the link out to time.comlive. And to all of you that are listening, I want you to know that Robbie is a miracle man because he put this together just in a few hours. Usually, we have weeks and days that we prepare for these things, but within a few hours, Robbie has put this whole thing together and Hashem should bless him. I would like to call this program a day of gratitude and celebration. And we all know that today is Hosana Rabba. Hosana means hosa help. No, please please please help us rabba in a big way. And for the rest of our lives, all of us that are fortunate to be alive today will always remember Hashana Raba of not of 2025 tshinab that this was the day not only of the celebration of the yont that we marched around with the but that the hostages finally came back to Israel. And I want to show you a pic that I think is so appropriate. It's in Yesh 51 P 11 and it's talking there about Msiach and listen to the PKashem the captives of Hashem in other words Hashem's captives Hashem's Jewish nation that were captive they're going to come to to Bina with song. They'll have eternal joy on their heads. Joy and happiness will reach them and it will flee worry and sighing. In other words, in the time of Messiah, those Jews that were captive in different countries all around the world, they're all going to come to see. They're all going to come to Israel with song. And that's what happened today. These people were able to get out of gaze finally after two long years and they were able to come to your with song as you saw. I'm sure many of you saw the videos of people dancing in the streets and tremendous tremendous celebration on this rabba and yog and that's our hope and prayer that the signing and the worry will come will finish in other words that kamas will not back out of any of the agreements of the ceasefire or of the disarming and all these type of things and mitem will be able to finish with this war. So that's one P that certainly is approprious. But I want to tell you another PK that is really very striking. This morning when we took out the safety, we said a certain and we say it and we say Hashem, Hashem and we cry it out with all our voices, with all our strength. And in there it says the same malus give into the heart of the sovereignty of the kingdoms of their advisors and their officers that they should have feel good about us. And today, those of you who saw President Trump in the Knesset, we feel he is so backing as Netanyahu said, he's the greatest friend as a president of the United States that Israel ever had. And that's the same that he backs in such a positive way. How often do we have that that the goes nations feel favored to towards us and hopefully as Natano said that other nations he didn't mention England and France but we know he meant them and the UN that these people will also see the greatness of Claw Israel and Erit Israel and that's a second puzz that is certainly appropriate. Now in as Robbie mentioned we are going to say in a few moments so please get yours it's 100 and it occurred to me many times that the word maid which means thank you we bow in thanks is 100 and to me it's no accident that made it that the song of thanks and gratitude is chapter 100. You know why? Because a person has to be grateful for 100% of the things that we have. It's true. We have many things that we have challenges. But there's so much good that we have. And if you would write down on an index card all the wonderful things you have whether it's a spouse whether it's a house whether it's a business whether it's children or grandchildren or great grandchildren or the fact that in what happened today that is so much to be grateful for and that's why I believe this should be called the day of gratitude and celebration and we are coming now to which is one of the most festive in throughout the Jewish year. But I want to say something very very personal and that is to meas. I know this sounds like a long time ago but 59 years ago in 1966 my father passed away on Shminias. I was only 21. I had to leave the yeshiva support my mother and my six younger brothers and sisters and my father was only 47. So but every time I think of that you know is difficult for me people are dancing and saying but that's the time that I went through the most difficult sadness but I also have a because I had the greatest father in the world he was a brilliant logical organized person and he taught me many things the main thing he taught me was brisma I was a male for 55 years did over 10,000 bris and bar hashem and I'm Sure many of you are listening I did your bris or your children's brisen and also he taught me a love forum and I want to teach you a lesson that you could all learn from my father about he always told me buy a safer on a specific topic for example if somebody wrote a a safe onus or on buy that safer because if somebody wrote it on a topic he became an expert in that field and that's why he wrote a safer on it. So those are the type of swarm that you have. When you have a safer that talks about a 100 different things. So it doesn't show that he's an expert in all those things. But if somebody hones in on a topic, that's the safer to tie to buy. So I want to tell all of you, many of you have wonderful parents and this is the day to say thank you to them. If you can dance with your father or whatever they have a coffus and tell to your father Aba or Tati or dad, we're so grateful. I'm so grateful to Hashem that I have you as a father because you teach me so much. So this is a day all over Israel. It's tremendous celebration and tremendous gratitude that the hostages are out and let us try to continue to have tremendous for everything that Hashem does for us in our lives. Don't forget the first word that we say in the morning is we thank you Hashem and that's what aid is all about. The says we are called Yehudim. Why are we called Yehudim? We don't all come from Yehuda. Some come from shims, vulen, ruin. But every Jew, Yehuda has the word hid, thank you. That's the essence of a Jew saying thank you. So, thank you very very much. You really it's a it's a zoot to have been able to do so many projects with you and we hope to do many more. And secondly, Rabbi Con, first of all, Rabbi Conn, you're a little bit outnumbers because because of the people that are performing here today, two out of three of us are Joey's. So, there's only one >> that's my middle name, yay, by the way. So, I'm also a Joey. >> Oh, wow. Okay. So, we're three for three. That's great. That's phenomenal. And second of all, the truth is we're talking about thanking Hashem. Seeing you here on this Zoom and saying words wonderfully and clearly and is is really something that we have to thank Hashem for too. Rabbi Pes is a ch is a ch treasure for Israel and he's been for many many many decades. I'm sitting here in my study and I'm looking in front of some of Rab's books. Of course, there's like almost you don't have a Jewish study in in America and any English-sp speakaking country or maybe even Hebrew speaking country if you don't have at least one or a few of Rabbi Cronhn's books on your bookshelf. And you know the rabbi you said you mentioned how your father said uh you know buy a book on a certain topic. Um I think one of the books that helped launch the whole art school was Cronhn's book on Briser which was a book on a certain topic and that's what then made it explode. So to see you here healthy bar and strong and you just gave away your age because you told us how many years ago your father was nifa and how old you were at the time. So we did the math. So to have you strong and talking and still inspiring cla is something that we cherish very much and just give you many many more years of health >> surrounded by you know I spoke recently in your wife's school your wife and your children and being able to continue to inspire clients over many decades. Amen. So I I think this and K obviously touched on all the points, but I'd like to divide it up into three parts. Three parts of of some of the power that we could take away from today. Part number one is, you know, we're in Hasha and we're on we did the and we shake the and one of the the sentences that we shake the fore and like just said thanks is the center of who we are and we have to be able to thank people and ultimately thank our parents which then enables us to ultimately realize and recognize and thank Hashem. So I think we have to start by thanking people. There are people that you know whether it's obviously President Trump, whether it's Netanyahu, whether it's the soldiers that fought, whether the soldiers that gave up their lives, it's the parents of those soldiers and the family members, the children, the spouses. And then of course it continues to all the people around the world that gave the people that that gave charity people that did people that did extra over the last two years in order for Hashem to help us and protect us in the war. It was a difficult rough intense war. But a lot of us look at it that way because we're not old enough to remember real wars and we're not old enough to remember wars where tens of millions and millions of people were killed. And this was a war where hundreds and hundreds of Jews were killed. And it's way more than we are able to tolerate. But in the end of the day, there was so many miracles that got us done. So we have to be thankful to all those people. all those people that fought all those people the mitzvot that they did and of course the tens of thousands of yeshiva and light whether in America all across Israel and that what they did for their because in the end of the day when the Jews are at war it's a global war and a global war means all hands on deck and all hands are whether it's a soldier with a gun or a grenade or a or a bomb or a tank that that even shalom lost his leg in the middle of Gaza and it's the families and it's the whole army is that participated all those people that went to Israel in the last two years to somehow try and show strength and to show we're still part of this nation and love this nation and love each other so thank you thank you to every single person that was a participated in their form in their way in this ultimate redemption that Hashem gave us. So everything in the end of the day, Hashem wants to see something out of us. And for millions of Jews, Hashem saw something out of us. If he saw our if he saw, he saw our learning or he saw our physical efforts, he saw something out of us. And so all of those people need a tremendous amount of thanks. That's number one. Number two. Number two is I don't know what's going on in your house. And I can't guarantee that every house is the same today, but if you're a house on the east coast, in all likelihood, your house is messy because it's been raining all day. Your house is east coast of America. I mean, it's rainy. It's been raining all day. Raining for two days in a row. Kids are coming in and out of the house, I hope. And it's sloppy and it's might be a little bit mess. People are getting ready for Yum. People are getting ready trying to decide to eat in the suk eating in the house and what the story is and how they're eating, how they're preparing. Some stayed up last night. So they're sleeping and it's a hectic day. And when you're in the middle of a hectic day and you you walk around, you're like, "Ah, where do I find peace and quiet?" In fact, in order to be able to give this speech, I'm in my house. I had to go to room to room to find a place that it's not noisy and it's not hectic. But I think today makes you put it in perspective. You know, I didn't see a lot of the images, but someone saw a video of a father embracing his son. And the father said, "And he's hysterical crying, embracing his son." Do you think that father cares if there's mud in the house? Do you think that father cares if there's a shirt on the floor? You think that father cares whether the meat was cooked for tonight yet or not? You think the father cares whether someone's sleeping or not sleeping or there's a baby crying? He has his son. Every single person that has a child, a child, a grandchild, appreciate what that is. And sometimes when you see, you know, sometimes if you have a child getting married, you start to appreciate your own spouse because it inspires you a little bit about the beauty of marriage. When you see a child coming home, when you see a family member coming home, and you see the emotions that are that it's that it's riled up with, it's so energetic and so laced with emotion, you get reminded about your emotion. Your son, your daughter, your mother, your father, your brother, your sister, your family member. The the love that should be permeating throughout Jewish homes today should be inspired by what we're seeing in the streets of Israel. what we're seeing in what we're seeing what's happening to families that are united and the joy that they're feeling and not having seen each other for well over 700 days and now they're able to see each other. We have to be able to have that same appreciation. So if there's a if there's some had leaves on the floor, if there's maybe some blankets in the house because they were taken in from the suka where people wanted to sleep. If the kitchen's a little mess, but maybe there's some 8:00 running around, see those images and realize not everyone has this. And we pray for those that don't, but those that do, you're lucky you're in this moment. You're lucky for the mess. You're thankful for the joy. You're thankful for the baby that's crying. You're thankful for the food that's out. That's part of what this is what you hope for your whole life. This is what you dream for. To have a family, to have children, to have grandchildren. And so that's message number two. Message number three is this. And message number three is of course number one and above all. Yes, we thank people. Yes, we appreciate what we have, but above all is we recognize the power of the one who did this. You know we they say we shake the lav 36 times on every day 36 times. Why 36 times? Because in it we say and which means there's a hashem that we thank and that we're begging for for help. That means whether we have something good in our life, we know where it comes from. And if we have something difficult in our life, we know where the salvation needs to come from. And so the word the number is 36. What is 36? Him. It's all him. Is him. It's all him. And everything that happens in our world is completely and entirely him. We're going to dance on some. And as they're already dancing right now. Hi Joey. Welcome to the other Joey. Joey Nukem. Great to see you. So they're dancing. So right now they're dancing and we're going to be dancing in a day or so. And when we're dancing with Torah, why do we dance? So obviously everyone knows we dance because we finished the Torah. But I saw a question that's such an obvious question. If you're dancing because you finished the Torah, why are we dancing at night? We don't finish the Torah till the next day. We're dancing at night. If we don't finish, we finish. finish in the daytime. So, we shouldn't dance till after. My little grandson made us last night. We danced after he was done. So why over here are we dancing on before we're done? And frankly, we should be done on Shabbat. Every single par we read on Shabbat besides the last one. The last one we read on which is really why is the last one? answer is because we're celebrating something more than just the fact that Torah itself I can't just but we're selling something more. We're celebrating that the Torah creates an incredible relationship between us and Hashem. That's what we're celebrating. We're celebrating the relationship and said is the day of that relationship and the Torah is what captures the relationship and so we're celebrating the relationship. The fact that Hashem is making this happening today on the day that it's sealed, a day that literally makes it exactly to the day, two years of the that it happened. It's not two years of October 7th. It's two years to a day that makes us realize this is all Hashem. I have to share with you a story. One minute. I know Robbie if I'm overtime. Let me just give a quick story. gonna go back to two years ago on October the 7th and in our of course it was hectic and people founding out what's happening in Israel they found out in the morning they found out in the afternoon and now right before someone came over to me and said rabbi are we going to dance tonight is it appropriate to dance at that point we knew 300 people were killed we knew there were hundreds of hostages we knew there were thousands of iss not sure and someone happened to hand me a story. He handed me a story that happened to be printed that year because it was the 50th anniversary of the Yonkipur war. And in the story, here's what it said. It said there was a man, the man writing the story says he was in Shula Yonipur 50 years ago. And people came running into the room and they said Israel is at war. He said him and his three brothers, four son to brothers total went to the to dropped their tallet, grabbed their guns and went to the front lines to fight. He says in the Jewish announcing, he says his father was in the rabbi says, "We're going to dance. We're going to dance in honor of the Torah." And he says his father danced. He says, "And they were dancing in the streets of and someone came over and said, "How can you dance? Our boys are fighting. How can you dance?" And the rabbi, he pointed to his father and said, he said, "If this man can dance, he has four sons on the front line. So can you dance?" And they all dance together. And the son writing the article says, "Who knows? Who knows if it's not because of the dancing of my father the Torah that night that the bullets that were whizzing by my head missed and I me and all my brothers were saved. I saw the story. I said I got up in front of my before the I said, "Men, I don't know the right answer, but I just read the story and I think Hashem sent to me as a message. We're going to dance. If we were set making a party, then we wouldn't dance. for some random party. We wouldn't shalom tonight. But we're not dancing for some random party. We're dancing because of Hashem. We're dancing because of the nation we're a part of. We're dancing because this is the Torah. This is the reason we exist. It's the reason we need a country. It's the reason we fight. So because of this, we're going to dance. Yes, we're going to do a between each dancing extra for what's happening is but we're going to dance. Happens to be two days later. I spoke at an event for actually doing another event in a week from now. I hope to see you there. We did an event for at the event I spoke. I said the story my rash was there and in the middle of the speech I said rashiva did I make the right decision? I said yes you did. The speech was recorded. It was a Monday night. Tuesday night I get a message to my phone from a phone number I don't recognize. And the message and apparently after reading the message I realized it's a woman living in the south of Israel. She says to me, "Rabbi, I just heard your speech from last night." She says, "I want to tell you the dilemma we had." She says, "I live in a neighborhood of Kunaha that all the men once once the terrorists came and the chaos happened in Israel. Every single one of the men had to run. They were either surveilling the area surveing surveillance around the area or they had to go as reserveists to fight." She says, "Now is ending for them is ending." She says, "And now we have for to dance after. She says, "But I have two sons at home, two teenagers, and they don't know what to do to dance or not to dance. Can we dance when all this is happening?" And she writes three question marks and three exclamation points. And then she says, "Of course we dance. Of course, we're going to dance." And she sends me a 30 second, less than 30 second video. And you see in this 30 secondond video, you see like you're looking peering into the window or the door of a small little sh that looks like it's in one of these, you know, difficult neighborhoods in the south of Israel. And in the sh you see her two sons, each one with a seat to hand dancing around the beimma by themselves alone. I said that's what kal is. The fact that Hashem made it on this day that Trump and Netanyahu and the different people of the world were able to make the peace treaty. It's us and we have three responsibilities today. Number one, to thank the people that were involved for the past two years. Number two, to appreciate the families that we have if they didn't have to go to hostage in order for us to appreciate the beauty and the love that we have between them. And number three is to recognize all of it is law. All of it is his. All of it is Hashem's and Hashem made it on this day for us is to realize that I am in control. I am the one that makes things happen. And when we celebrate, we did which is our unique bond with him. And which celebrates what creates that bond. We celebrate more than anything else. We celebrate you. We celebrate that we have you. We celebrate that we're thankful to you. We celebrate the fact that you keep doing miracles for us. You celebrate that even though you put us through a difficult two years, you showed us so much of the beauty of Amy as we celebrate the fact that you did it on the day of our Torah and you made it end on the day of our Torah to show us and it's our love for you and our love for the Torah that ultimately is going to give Amy Isel the greatest strength and ultimately determine that we're going to have peace with all the nations around Israel and ultimately determine if we're right now at the cusp of Mashiach coming because we're ready. Hashem, we know, we appreciate, we could see with our eyes. It's all you. And so hopefully very soon, Hashem could come and bring Mashia so that the whole world could know just like Trump said in the Knesset. He stood up in front of the Knesset and he said, "We have to thank the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Let the world know that we're a nation that thanks each other. We're a nation that appreciates the what we have. And we're a nation that realizes that we are here because of one reason, because of Hashem, our God. Eventually we'll find out who that's why we say at the end of time we'll know why everything was good and why it had to happen. And as Rabbi H mentioned, we want to give this over to the generations. We transfer the legacy of the beauty of Yiddish to our children and grandchildren in the future generations. Now we'll have Joey Nukem. Before we call upon Joey, I want to just say one thing is that is that um is that Rabbi Cron mentioned that that that his middle name is Yoseph and I remember I heard Joey Nukem he once said he once said that that the people think that his middle name is thank you.
