Texting and Driving Simulator by All State in Lakewood

I'm Danny Jovic and full state spokesperson today we're here in Lakewood BlueClaws game with our reality rides driving simulator raising awareness about the dangers of texting drive come with me I'll show you what's going on [Music] this is a driving simulator equipped with virtual reality technology you have a large screen here it's an LED screen and what the driver does is they begin driving and after driving for about a minute or so they actually start texting and driving and you can see the difference about how they drive when they were actually driving without the phone but when they actually start driving with their phone and it's quite amazing when they find out they're running into people crashing and so really what we're doing here is we're raising awareness about the dangers of texting and driving and a fun and safe environment so crashes of the teens we're 3,000 teens die each year and many of them actually our club might describe to drive text me driving is actually like just makes you try three times more likely to crash what she could say so I'll actually start driving I should start texting you texting and driving you're actually 23 times more likely to get in a car crash and the average text takes is 5 seconds so if you think about that five seconds driving 50 miles per hour that's like driving the entire length of a football field with your eyes closed think about how do you if that is Chuck and every once in a while do your best respond the speed limit is 45 miles per hour and then when you go to break you really have to press on the brakes because since the cars off it's a little stuff ok so just press real hard the intersection continue straight
