Says, "Calm down." I open the door for my office and then my office had like I think they walk down to the with the with the work. Okay. >> Yeah. They came into a into a high high modern plant. They they tried to make it look like this was a backwards uh dungeon. Uh I remember getting letters from England, the people in England who were telling they're watching what's happening in America. If you if you lose over here they'll affect the a lot of things motivating and they have no right to change. The first 70 days jail didn't really care. They wanted they didn't want to give you bail, >> right? Oh, flight risk is part of it, but but they have more. They they came with this that um passport >> law of return. >> Yeah. Can you imagine? >> I'm sitting I'm sitting in court and he >> the prosecutor said this. >> Yeah. >> On he's not he's not even an American citizen. I was born in America. I I couldn't understand what he's talking about. I was born in Burbak my [laughter] because I'm Jewish Jewish Israeli passport. >> Yeah. And the judge is not but this is one of the tinus with the judge accepted. He wrote in his his ruling that I'm a de facto the prosec he said I'm a de facto dual citiz even even the the the Jewish defense league I forgot ADL Whatever they they came to my defense also. >> They woke up quiet or quiet. That's she's going to give me so I got home and then from there it went from B next was a trial whatever it was and then and then it was a big trial and and after the trial and again they deny me bail. What are you gonna get? No bail. You ready? >> Usually no. They took away the bail. Anybody in such a trial is you go home and you prepare for the sentencing and they th went to jail. in >> they say they say guilty and instead of going go home and figure out what to do they take now handcuffs feet cuffs inrison there's the sentencing >> 8 months later I sat 8 months for no reason at all no reason because I because the sentence was commuted by the President Trump yeah so the sentence it was never yeah 8 months what difference it make it comes off your sentence I said and right now I should be Ah, >> so one second. Let's talk about sentencing. >> What jail mean? Jail mean a person. You take a person that's his family. You're separating from his family. Take a person that's wearing normal clothes. clown. It never was like that. Clone. You look at yourself. You're a clown. Look at the guy in front of you as a clown. Yeah. Yeah. Has no semblance of humanity. There's no piece of wood there. Okay. No fire. Steel brick. Um you get nothing on your own. This is by design. facility and uh put people in a room with one toilet. Fifth manion that I mention plus has a private toilet private toilet. You know, you know [snorts] what what goes on. There was a guy there I met lady in he was a murderer. He killed at mention of guilt. He was a hitman. Hitman. No. Yeah. Yeah. Doesn't like the guy. Yeah. Give me money. I kill the guy. them. I got used to everything in prison besides having to go to relieve yourself in front of somebody else when somebody else was in the room. I feel like a diaper, right? Nobody taught them. Oh yes. Yeah. Yeah. These things registered mention they put in mention put them in a room from 9:30 sometime in the morning, right? him. In in the process of the county jail, they put a bunch of people in the in the in the in their cage waiting to be processed. in there. Yeah. foreign. Yeah. Oh, what are you talking about? Who you are? That's not who you are. Do I love the story? is that is that uh I thought so when when the bubble was still in park place heights. >> Yeah. >> Is that is Vinder. So No, I couldn't. I couldn't. I tried in jail. I'm going to figure this out. I open. I got I got a test. I remember dates. I was fasting and I didn't understand. If only they would have had my lawyer calls me up after the trial. You know, if you would had a different judge, it would have been different. I hung up the phone. fights you to move on with merits fight. Yeah. And go. Yeah. Yeah. Massive. Okay. foreign. Yeah. Mhm. for is so what I want when I get out. Imagine this is maybe the second or third year I'm in prison and I'm thinking okay so guess going back into planning for the day after. >> Yeah. sentence to finish the point. Sure. Sure. Business Okay. The sentencing. >> Yeah. Ostein [snorts] is sentence. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The sentencing was Tuesday. Monday night in Park and 45th Street and 15th over there. for fine. I won. No, no, I think I No, I won the I won. I won the state sentencing. I want to say sentencing and my wife tells me the sentence came out sentence came out according to American law you never give a guy a sentence unless he's standing in front of you the was beyond understanding and and the Really? I can't understand. Yeah. Yeah. No sentence a fact. Whatever date was the day before that later. So my wife now 27 years 27 27 months. >> Oh, she didn't say years. She said 27. >> 27. She said 27 already. Look at already 8 months down from the no whatever. I realized this is what wants this is what I have to be happy with. I can't say my life is destroyed. If you pick yourself out of there, if you and I'm in a place called prison, my girlfriend is in prison, but I'm living my suddenly my focus focus because somehow because it's part of your body elev for for sure I had a rigid schedule Like in the morning, never watch television. So what happened was a pilates it obviously I went through this eight years a generally speaking eight and a half years if you put all these these county jails together in order eight eight and a half years of prison and I never took I never took a drug never took I mean the first few weeks they gave it to me I told them I'm stopping >> what do you mean they >> they give you drugs to make you fall asleep they they let they let you have it >> where the prison >> the prisons yeah because they know a legal drug >> yeah but they basically spread mentioned they want to numb you. They want to numb you. I realize I wake up with the same problem, right? Well, long term numbs you a little bit and then you wake up again and it gets worse. >> I stopped. I had to sign a paper. >> They give it to all the prisoners. >> If you ask for it, yeah, you need it. You're you're anxious. You can't fall asleep. >> Purpose set. What is it? I forget the name. Okay. Call me to an infirmary over the room. You sure you don't want to take it? I don't want to take it. Obviously, and I and I'm talking about what's it based on? Seven things. What are the five? Yeah. and and and and at the end little little messages the day the day of the rooftop he can't call me he calls up my house in One guard is saying to another guard, I don't know who it was. One guard says to other guard, who was the president of some guards >> day before >> day after day after day after. Okay. >> So this guy is there with some more guards in the units. They knew they knew me. I was I was that area for seven years, right? I knew them. They knew me. And then he had some guards worked in the office. Fact, the president of the street, somebody describe him to me. So he says, you know, the Jewish guy that was always happy. That's the one. And I I'm listening to this and I'm thinking to myself, always happy. were days when good bit was I wasn't walking around the happy was I was happy in prison I'm tell purpose we're getting back to the first I can serve you a lot better from there thank you very Wow. You understand? I never never watched a show. Never. I never missed it. Never bothered me. I was full. I was my time was used. I was I was [snorts] I wasn't dragged down into the world. I took myself up. That's that was a pila. Hey, I want to say I want to you're talking I didn't get into this whole thing from I got into from business instead you have to take it for And that so you know that's my so I can't do times I cried but it was not depression it wasn't depression you say I remember if I wanted a cup a moment a real what was most depressing real depressed and and uh I should remember that day. Yeah, >> I look back and I couldn't find a moment. Of course, there was times I was challenged with depression. But a lot of moments, like I said, but it was it was sad. It wasn't depression. If it was depression, I pushed it right away. Depression means you're sapped from energy. You don't want to move. You feel you feel there was pain. remember there was this was walking around with this pain and the depression two different things. >> Mhm. >> So what's the point? The point is why is he putting me in pain? Yeah. Why am I going through this pain? So first of all but there's another level that people don't really focus on gives us a rub the wrong way. You know there called and soy means when I eat I can't like a perfect example mentioned I was born parents my parents are if I would have no parents No. Who who's the first one that can say something like that can say the best? Imagine. >> Yeah. Didn't say I'm as good. It hurts. It's painful. So they say take away the pain but but you got the pain don't you don't say because you have pain you can't be who you are you can't be a ye that that was the point and then the pain should go away so my job was to overcome the cry to overcome the and to say obviously and and and and if I'm in a place called prison which is so so painful so then I have I have to say to I will show you. That's that's the right way of saying it. >> That's the right way of saying it. Not saying it can't take it. How much can you take? Don't ask me. Don't ask that question cuz you don't want to find out, >> right? [laughter] It's a bad question. Good. And if you find yourself in pain, so wants to hear that. Wow. >> So works together and that's basically how I that's basically that's the way it went and there were a lot of times challenging times you got we found evidence why I didn't get out with that evidence. They found constitutional violations in my case corruption. >> Corruption. >> The judge was involved from the beginning giving giving giving orders. I mean and and she she brushed it away and then they found likes them and she knew and they knew nothing nothing can change it. Yeah. So what do I do with it? I went back and and [snorts] it works out. Okay, it works out like that because you know they were fighting very much to get the get back into court and show the judge that she was lied to. You know, I look back now I when I when I heard that she rejected it comes the best thing because doesn't want to go that way and I saw it the want to go through the route of of having the president of the United States way you you get out get out the the the other way if you they would gone to court she could have easily said okay you found a you found a problem I'll give you 27 years I'll knock off seven years >> wow she could have done I don't know exact leader and Yankee what's his name Yanke forget his name Yanke they so they made a mitzvah for this boy and there's a video on YouTube it's called and the said surprises from the mitzvah is >> and they put you on the mic and I'll never forget what you said. You said then I wanted to come to the mitzvah. You were talking to boys. I wanted to come. I went to the door and it wasn't open. >> [laughter] >> I but [laughter] unbelievable. Oh man. Oh man. Number one, everyone felt so loved by the Irish that day. The day before I got a letter, they told me you're not getting out. The day before. >> Yeah. By day I got a letter. They give me a letter and >> letter from them. >> The court they sent in because the last possible appeal was denied. >> So now you're really in for 27 years. >> No. >> According to according to Oh, so I I caught myself. I saw what happened to people in the day when they got letters like that. They fall into depression because of us. This is not any any of hope. There's no hope anymore. said and I said I went that night. I got up the next morning the biggest I got up the next morning and I remember getting up for over and you know and I got out of bed and I said to him and and I was I got an email from a guy in England a good guy he said I opened the [snorts] email and it tells me okay now in England is over I was hoping that he'll be out. Okay. I typed them back. I think it was next to the last email that I got in in the in the place two. I came back. We had this little in the in the cells every day 3:30. I was inside just on a smaller story and the all the prisoners were rooting for the other guy for the other guy for the lady. Yeah. And and they can't even vote, right? I remember the four years before when Obama won, they were banging on the doors like boom boom boom. Trump won. [laughter] The next morning I found out anyways in the first year he was going through hard times the whole day with these guys know Russian investigation against him and and and unpopular. Yeah. So I asked them, "Please go to the They want to have dance in the streets." I said, "Let's go into this gas station next door." was like yet positioning of probation. I was probation yet. I saw my house. He comes out there. Thousands of people outside the house. Mony trails. I get my boss. On the way they want to go to 770. And on the way, as I said, my guy called my mother and father waiting for me in B park. >> So, I called says go to your mother and father. I went to before. I went to M park 10 12,000 people outside the you saw the pictures >> yes in the in the the railings fell off the house damage >> and then the call my tell him to say and I came outside it was it was it was a felt like was crazy >> and then then you went to 770 >> so that was my father's as being my mother. It was a very very emotional moment. Mother was set to him. I met her and then I went into the dining room and then I went out to the porch. She went back into the dining room and then I had to I want to get 74 1:00 to D. >> Mhm. >> The bus was there. So I couldn't even the bus parked like a block away to to here. The thing fell down. I got on the bus and the pizza I got to cry very quickly. You got 1:00 [laughter] from WhatsApp. [clears throat] [laughter] this you can feel it. So I have I prepared I prepared a save for when I get out. You prepared how long? >> Half a year before. Okay. I get out of. So what I'm gonna say is I prepare and I said oh so in front of the porch of the house they I looked around I see thousand people and they they put me what famous WhatsApp say to everybody. I got up and and then we danced and danced and danced and then I went to the oil in the morning >> after 7:70. >> Yeah. >> Then I went to my brother's house. I stopped for >> breakfast. >> But no, I mean I forgot to brother 5 6:00 in the morning. They brought him to the Baskin where Baska lives. I told my brother, "Listen," and after the calm down, I said, "I don't understand you." And this I think this wraps it up, right? I said, "Your kid lost going to happen. He's going to find him and bring him back home." >> I'm I'm oversimplifying it, but this Okay, >> but when he's lost on the internet, how do you know who he is? >> He's lost in the streets of the internet. Anxiety, depression, all these things, self-esteem, all these things get challenged by you. Yeah. Prison prison will ruin your self-esteem. >> And how how do you how do you do it? By by by is really a heading. It's not it's not close your brain means purpose like four keys of clarity. again. So, I've been working over over the for a while now on a book and it's coming out hopefully in a month or two, maybe two months because print takes time. We're almost finished my son Gel and I >> and we want to start this discussion because mentioned in in a physical way in the sense Mhm. >> How do you feel about it? If it's if it's it can it be something that's that that's your will you accept it? So, so um my hope we have access in the center of the upstairs basement. Downstairs next door. Yeah. Yeah.
