Summer is setting in. The weather is nice. It's beautiful to be outside at times. But it's so hard. With summer comes a whole new slew of Niyonos in Shmiras Einayim. Wherever we go, wherever we walk, drive, we're faced with new Nisyonos. And as the years go on and on, the Nisyonos get stronger and stronger and stronger. And sometimes we think, Ribono shel Olam, what do you want from me? How am I supposed to overcome this Yetzer Hara? The Heilige Aleksander Rebbe, זכר צדיק לברכה, השם יקום דמו as he was being led to the gas chambers in Treblinka, turned to the Chasidim and he posed a question. We say, The mornings, the days when things are bright is a time of להגיד בבוקר חסדך, but בלילה, when things are bleak and things are hard, then it's a time for Emunah, it's a time to believe that things will get better. But if that's the Pshat in the pasuk, why does it say ואמונתך בלילות, Your Emunah, talking to Hashem? It should say ואמונתנו בלילות, our Emunah is what carries us through the night. Zogt the Heilige Aleksander Rebbe, ואמונתך בלילות is referring to Hashem's belief in us. If Hashem chose us to live in these times, if Hashem chose us to live on these streets, if Hashem chose us to live in a world that's so full of Nisyonos, wherever we go, whenever we go, at all times the Nisyonos are a constant barrage, that means to say that the Ribono shel Olam trusts us. The Ribono shel Olam has complete faith in us, that we will get through this night. We will get through this night of Galus with all the Nisyonos that it brings. So מוריי ורבותיי, as the summer comes and the Nisyonos get harder, let us take that as a sign. The Ribono shel Olam trusts me. The Ribono shel Olam knows that I can. And that's why He put me in this Nisayon. And when we know that, then our כוח to fight and to overcome will be so much stronger, because we know that Hashem believes in me.
