There are many people who really want to
get closer to Judaism, who really want
to learn about Judaism, to put on
tefillin, to try to connect with
Shabbat, but they're very afraid of
changing. They see this as something
that will make them give up their own
self.
What is your message to people who are
experiencing a crisis or doubts of this
kind?
So, I'll look at the camera and say
this. I'm also trembling with fear. The
deeper I go, the more afraid I become.
But, I put the term religion aside, and
I look at God, and I look at my Jewish
identity. I didn't choose to be born
dark-skinned or light-skinned or black
or white. I didn't choose my given
circumstances. There's this thing
Israelis do, they go searching for all
the Eastern philosophies and all the
teachings around the world, and only
then do they explore Judaism. You have
something right here at home. First,
explore what's at home, and then go look
for everything else around you. So,
don't be afraid of it. Connect with your
God. We have a wheel that drives us, and
on an internal energetic level, there
are people who, let's say, drain energy.
So, you prefer not to sit with them
because your energy just flows to them,
and they just absorb, absorb, absorb.
So, it's the same thing on our energetic
level, on our spiritual level, something
that drives us.
We have a source we can connect to that
does us good, that drives the wheel,
that brings abundance, and does
everything for us. There's no need to
look in foreign fields, so to speak.
Don't give up, and don't be afraid of
it. Forget it. Don't change at all. Stay
who you are. The way you are is the best
there is.
Just go deeper for yourself, for your
toolbox.
