have a lot of interest in today's in today's webinar uh pesach is always something that is of interest to our our callers and everybody who wants to know what what does the starkey say about this what's going on what's new what's old and we're glad that you could join us today if you're cheap what's cheap right like dr pollock says cheap is going to your in-laws that's what's cheap or your parents that's what's cheapest here is the on your on your bottom right of your screen you have a chat box we're happy if you could chat with us if a couple people could chat just to let us know that phone call you can make the phone call okay right direct from canada i want to thank seven mile market one of our locals uh kosher supermarkets for allowing me to go into their uh into their shelves and take pictures that we're going to show you today i used to rabbit but i remember the days we used to bring loads of products and hold them up to the screen but they will they don't trust you anymore never got back the same we went digital uh and that makes it a little easier on on me personally um our book is out our facebook book is out right too right well we we get one free copy and uh skinnier it's skinnier this year just to show you um this is what this is last year's book see that this is this year's book and the reason it's skinnier is that we decided is easier this year if you got through covert you can get through peso that's it though that that might much of the information is online um the peso had the book has the the medications that people might want to ask about um handy charts it's actually it's a smaller carbon footprint this year i think that was the motivation very good very good and uh so we have a lot of information online uh more information online than before that you can get you can get uh actually i could get a link and show you where that is basically if you google and we get copies someone wants to know if they can get yes you can you can get a copy i'm going to put over here you can get signed copies even remember goldberg will sign it for you i'm going to put a link i put the link up uh of where the uh where you can get all our piece of that okay so ruby bayer we're not really going to discuss medications which is a whole discussion unto itself it's um heber here in the office is the expert on that and we get many many many many questions about which medications you can take i mean we can you know here and there we can do it but that's not really our focus our focus is on the products uh that are out there for peso fair enough yep okay uh so let's start with something that just came in today the oh you usually puts out information about gerber uh baby products which ones are acceptable with a plain ou for babies for pesos and that's a you know it's a good a good thing to know it saves money uh you buy the regular the regular products and it's good for pay stuff this year there was no uh information that was disseminated but we did get some late breaking just just today we got it that um that the glass jars that gr of gerber baby food that that has an ou is acceptable for pesa with the following uh the following types carrots and squash are considered kosher le peso that would be for anybody then the green beans and peas which are kittenios uh would only be acceptable for for for babies because ashkenazim do not eat uh kidneys and i guess first for justice so just two products there's four there's carrots and squash and glass jars only glass jars not the plastic but the glass jars are acceptable the kosher pesto the green beans and peas are culturally but kidneys it sounds like a boring pesach for babies [Laughter] well i can i get a lot of carrots i can put up the link we have it on also on our local website which is baltimore jewish life i can put up that link there you can see the information on that um you know and that that of course you can buy oup or or libras or whatever brand you want you know but people are you know it's because it's going to be a little bit cheaper to buy uh this brand non-paid seller non-basis if you're comfortable with that which i would be uh then you can you can get that so that that information just just came in um i see people are chatting already it's okay we're going to come back to your try to come back to your questions uh as we go along um robby bye we have a problem with uh with styrofoam this year right yeah in in in in communist maryland there's the problem right they they they forbade uh selling of uh styrofoam which was the go-to for us for pace of cups and uh and and plates because uh we have a problem with the starches used in the paper uh especially the hot cups so um there are some uh some some uh alternatives the one alternative is actually right right they make something called a china cup yeah i'll show you something here that you can use this is a mug right a mug right see that there's no it's very basic right i mean you have to catch for them if you need use during the year but yeah you could use a mug yeah what else right so you could use a mug or there we have here in baltimore for those that are in in in this you know with the styrofoam free zone um there's a best bev brand that's being sold at seven mile under rabbi gruber that's kosher for peso i think it's plastic no no it's it's playful it's a real it's a real hot pepper cup yeah it's a real hot cup yep yeah so we have these hot cups here in the office um but they're really not good for hot i would call it a lukewarm cup okay now that that is the starkey position that you should use only um customer peso hot cups or styrofoam again we know there are others out there don't have a problem with any of them but we're just giving you the star k position someone says that new york also disallowed selling styrofoam oh really get it via amazon i gotta go liquid yeah there's actually a growing black market styrofoam black market going on here i think in town okay paper plates we have just as long as we're talking about those we have the chinet plates um usually have the okp it usually has an okp okay on there uh they now have a plane okay but we we confirm with okay that they are okay okay okay p for pacing even without the the even without the p they are acceptable for pesos okay confirm that that it's just a printing what about dixie cups i don't know okay so let us begin our tour of seven mile okay rabbi you ready i'm ready okay here we go i was born ready okay so this is a random order just how i went through the aisles and try to cover as much as we can we also have the questions that people emailed us and we have the chats and we have a lot of information okay so this is safflower oil and uh if i could show you over here it has a piece of gesture on the bottom of k p what am i doing here i can't i lost it okay it it has it take my word for it on the bottom over there there's a p and um people sometimes think that safflower oil is kidney is but it's not we don't consider kidneys it's not like sunflower oil that would be kidney as this would be a fine choice right next to it on the aisle is uh is uh this brand the safflower oil also kosher if you you know this probably would be a little cheaper if you're comfortable with that some people would want to buy what they call the hammership brand that's fine i would be fine with this okay next couscous for pesach rabbi what is going on what is it made out of you know the truth is a lot of gluten-free stuff that because it's out all year all year long now gluten-free it's become very big right and the quality is vastly improved yes they did learn how to make these things and it really tastes almost like almost like like real comets it does it does i want to show you one more thing if i can find it over here here look at this piece of pizza okay there we go what just just just to see what it tastes like [Laughter] okay okay that's not gonna save you money okay i mean it kind of takes away from the minute of you know matzo pizza mozza pizza that's the way you know you make everything in your home that's the way that's the way you'll save money okay we go to uh this is just a a chocolate spread you can see over here on the side that it has the dots um is that actually less calories on pesach or which would be you know certainly acceptable but as we have as you know ruby buyer this is one of my favorite pesos the kirkland five pound you know wildflower honey with the o.u.p the last of the year for 12. not in my house really use a lot of honey tacos we use honey rather than sugar like honey rabbis that makes sense yeah that's true buyer means i take care of a number of our honey companies um so that is the that's that that no that's what we buy i mean it's you know it's it's cheap during the year and facebook it's certainly certainly cheap okay these are these are uh let's start with this coach because your face like roasted uh unsalted almonds so you can see that it doesn't have an okay p it has okay powder but it says here in big lettuce kosher passover that is you know it is an okp this this is how this is their way of doing it um i can imagine someone calling the okay office and saying it doesn't have an okp i can see that too i can see it i can see it but it is this is uh sudden farms a big big uh seller of these kind of items and they they have uh you know this is kosher this does require a piece of action but i want to show you over here these are just filbert's raw natural uh nuts and as we say in our in our in our list uh let me let me see if i get the exact it's a whole mouthful right right my bar um yeah i think i can you want to read it yeah i know order a few times so i could practice it here [Laughter] i have the cue card here it says raw whether they are slivered whole or chopped nuts example almonds pine nuts walnuts etc without preservatives or other additives such as bht or bha in corn oil are approved for pesach we actually say passover if label states that it is processed in a plant that processes kidneys or comets then it requires a reliable kfp certification um yeah so raw nuts don't need or natural right so those would be that would be oh you know something you could buy uh without without a without a heck sure um there is an exception there that you did you read about the hole in half pecans and pecans we say pecans here in baltimore pecans yeah yeah so pecan pieces and pecans must bear a kfp and that's because they sometimes are sulking alcohol and peanuts peanuts are kidneys according to we have a separate listing for pecans yeah right there under what you read it says hole and half pecans are similar pecan pieces it's a small print yeah paul and half pecans are similar to any wrong knots mentioned above however pecan pieces and pecans must bear pfp right that's because it's processed and uh no i can tell you the only sizes right to size we went through this last year i can tell you that right the reason is because it's small uh the the big pecan pieces they want to get out some uh worms that might be with them so they just sift them out that's no problem but the small pecan pieces and pecans are similar in size to the worms so therefore they can't just sift them out with mechanical they soak them in alcohol and then then what they don't want floats out so that's what they do so sometimes so therefore we don't um we don't recommend that but that is a way of saving money on some nuts okay let's continue down here sun made raisins you can see on the bottom right here it's okp this is fairly it was it went through a change of certification of last because we have any other one here today other than our kosher market goes out of their way to find these these items okay let's look at some of the the uh chats that coming in our body let's take a break for a second and look at that okay um where can i find kosher paste coconut sugar a net ass do you know ruby buyer kosher pesos coconut sugar that's a good question coconut products have are are um really very popular yeah that's usually the oils and things i mean i don't know the sugar okay um let me see here i have a list of let me see something here okay i need to be able to hear coconut let me see coconut sugar i don't have a listing for that i'm sorry i mean i can look in the okay look for uh you can you can you can look at that okay jeff wants to know does the starkey have any information on dry blue buffalo dog foods okay so so we put together the uh the pepsi goldberg is not just the honey rabbi he's also the pet rabbi okay okay i think we get more questions about pets than we do about people um and and we have a list i you know i can look up if you have a particular product that's not on the list that you want you you can look at it yourself see if there's comments in it if you want us to look it up email us at info star dash k dot org again info at star hyphen k dot org and send us a link to the the ingredients and we'll look it up for you so look at the ingredients on a dog food or something they can look at the ingredients but a lot of people want want to have the comfort of a star case saying it's all right okay sometimes the ingredients are cryptic a little bit um like um um pasta i've seen pasta in in dog foods now it's not oats it's not it doesn't say oh it doesn't say wheat doesn't say barley but but pasta is going to be comments so some things you could miss that's why people sometimes ask us to look at it and dog food that's weird yeah i've seen that um so uh so just because something's left off the list on our on our on our uh list for animals which is over here let me bring that up uh here's the i'm going to bring a link to that list or here and put it up here just because it's it's not on the list does not mean that it's not acceptable because we just have a limited space and a limited amount of time to look through so there's many things not on the list that are acceptable okay uh silvia thanks us for being on thank you for joining okay frozen fruits and vegetables do they need a cultural pace of hatcher deborah wants to know not the ones that need checking um yes we have a whole we have a rabbit bar you want to read that it's also a whole megillah yeah i'm good at that okay frozen unsweetened additive free without syrup citric acid ascorbic acid or vitamin c whole sliced or farmed i'm sorry formed fruit may be used the above applies to frozen fruits that do not have an issue with insect infestation such as sliced peaches melon balls and cranberries okay no additional passover symbol is required right so basically what we're saying is that if let's say i have a picture later the only ingredient is mango okay that's it and that that's acceptable for peso um and because we have determined that it's unlikely that there's any any pace of issue with it or any cautious issues certainly and those are okay vegetables however frozen vegetables is not the same and frozen vegetables do require a a peso texture so shout out to our kitchen i can see some of our machines on there there you go hello josef gottman hello joseph weingarten okay thank you for joining okay xylitol so um any sugar substitute would need a piece of hecture i that are acceptable and hopefully we'll get to them and i have some pictures of those okay um okay what is status of the of the app it's not been working yet okay we will get we will get the the technicians on it um we sure copies of what copies you need copies of the book copies of the book you can get but you can order it from israel bookshop or there's a link online can we continue to take maxi health vitamin d3 drops daily so you would need for that you would need to to get um a cultural peso if it's just a vitamin if it's something that is well there is about maxi i think maxi is a is a brand right i don't know you want you want to know whether that's a proof of pacer i don't know it would need to be though it's it's a vitamin it's there that we have our whole uh can you look up rabbit bar of maxi alveoli i mean um okay we'll look it up we'll send robbie byer on that uh that yeah what has happened this year that toothpaste made by major companies is not acceptable the ingredients are the same as in the past okay so that is a good segue that we do have what we call our our quick pic personal care list so you know you don't have the book let's say whatever reason and you don't have the app so we have a list of you know just take this to the store and these are the things that that are acceptable for some general uh personal care so let me bring up the link to that quick pic personal care is over here okay okay so we pasted that um let's look at what it says on the toothpaste it says aim all of them are acceptable close up all are acceptable colgate all are acceptable and then it says all use vegetable glycerin so even though it says glycerin in it you don't have to worry that maybe it's not kosher pepcident all are acceptable and ultra bright all and again all use vegetable glycerin so uh i'm not sure these look like the same as as last year really to me so i'm not sure why why moshe is saying that they're not not acceptable i don't i don't know we we haven't seen theoretically that vegetable glycerin could be kidneys truth is what's that i said theoretically the vegetable glitz glycerin could be kidneys um [Music] yeah i hear okay not sure that would be a problem for toothpaste no probably not it would be bottle just mentioning it yeah okay mary is saying it's less expensive since it's small i think she's going back to the safflower the safflower was one of them was smaller than the others could be okay kirkland signature organic dried mango siem is asking right dry fruit needs a basic texture i have not heard that that is acceptable for peso so i cannot um [Music] vouch for that but there are some other kirkland items oh let's go back to our our presentation right by a second that's that's the first one i want to go down let's look over here here you have uh almond flour okay with a peso texture which would be certainly fine but here you have kirkland almond flour and we have checked this out this has a certification on the bottom for peso and uh we have checked it out the plant only does almond flour nothing else and therefore it really is not not not a concern um even people who are very strict i don't think that they should have any problem with this there now kirkland costco is an interesting setup they they produce at various factories right rubber buyer they produce all around the world yes right so you'll find some of them with one half sure and some of these kirklands are coming with the huff k the same almond the same almond flour same bag except on the bottom you'll see a half k and the kafka has told us that that's also that's acceptable for peso from their perspective so um great you know so it has this this symbol on the bottom which you can't see right here is the korc or it has a half k but both of them are are perfectly fine so there are things that are made by uh by kirkland costco that you certainly you know you'll save save money shopping there like empire chicken or everybody the local oh you can get that in costco yeah chicken seems to have a shortage there seems to be a shortage of kosher chicken we were discussing this on friday another meeting um you know supplier issues of chickens whatever it is there's a shortage it's all and the prices are shooting up and costco at least the local one here does stock um empire kosher chickens and there were some some who were going and buying the whole pallet really yeah wow well some people need a whole paddle like a caterer or a restaurant they need they need a lot of chicken but they made a rule that you can only buy five or six packages at one time but the other way of saving money would be to uh to get get that kirkland okay let's go back to uh to some of the questions here process organic lemon juice has been hectic during the year can be used okay so lemon juice is another item that you can get that here it is over here on our real lemon and real lime which are certified by the ou the ou says that they're good for peso so that's fine by me i would buy it if i wanted lemon juice and that's would be you know you don't necessarily need to have a brand that has a special piece of texture you can buy one of those i hope that answers bj's question about uh process well he's asking about you know a different brand but these are the only brands i know that would be acceptable for pesach without a picture okay um okay aspirins and medicines like that we'll leave that for rabbi hebber or another webinar if you don't get your question answered here which i can see that we have impossible to get through feel a sigh of relief okay let's keep going down plain does plain celsius near the passover designation okay this rk opinion is that it does not need a passover designation plain seltzer means nothing added nothing else there are those that say there are those that hold that the carbon dioxide that's added uh has a hummus problem yeah but that's and we we are not of that opinion and therefore any plant cells is okay i do have what about flavor seltzer well flavored salsa needs needs the crusher it needs basic approval here you go this brand here vintage is fine for pesach right so we have checked into the flavors that are added um you know where it's done under what uh you know where it's at and then everything that's in there and then therefore you need but you need to have one i took a not such a great picture but on the cap it would say kosher peso so that that's what you need uh you need to know dw says you can't capture that ceramic mug i don't want to say i didn't want to say rabbit buyer but that's what i was thinking it was it was okay okay okay okay it doesn't need capturing it's only used for pesach you can't cash your ceramic oh dw is right because we must we have to be correct you have to be exactly okay you're right okay and then uh said the same thing okay everybody you're in hot water now that's the is joke everybody is asking is styrofoam problematic or that you just can't get it styrofoam in baltimore that's the problem we can't get it in baltimore it's not a problem for pesach um chinette we discussed before steve is inviting us to virginia today to get to get um styrofoam okay we'll meet you at the border okay okay chinette and we discussed that before um ginette coffee cups i don't think they make coffee cups i don't think the okay is on the coffee cups i don't think so okay alona wants to know where can she buy shmuramatsu um i mean seven mile i don't know where you live if you live in baltimore you can buy it at seven mile um a lot of people have that mile you can buy it at um uh shopsies i think even sells a lot of people have ordered it in advance uh from near easter all or from wherever you know some of the many places i didn't see any shortage of shmoor matzah at 7 miles just there um i didn't see star k we have our own brand of you can buy shorebots on amazon this is what you can you can buy lunch on amazon okay so here's can you buy it here here's a great shimmer monster here we go this happens to be starkey you can buy that seven mile it is 23 or four dollars a pound which is more than last year but it's still pretty good relative to what um what matzah is costing okay let's go through some of the the emails that we got because people took the trouble to email us early by unless we want to leave them out um toothpaste which is acceptable according to we discussed that already okay uh frozen pitted cherry in costco are they okay for pesos we discussed that right as long as there's nothing added and uh and just the ingredient only one ingredient of cherries that would be that would be all right all right okay coconut secret coconut secret is a company that we certified and they made coconut aminos and we we approved it for peso we are no longer certifying them and um the current certification is saying that they don't know about pesos they're not it's not certified for pesos or whatever so we have no information about coconut secret aminos this year pompeian oils pompeian many if not most of the oils are kosher for pasta and starch without a certification but you need to look at the list that you that we provided the uh the links to okay um rice cauliflower well that needs an extra taste of all year because of bugs so yes and also it also need a pesacher is there anything wrong with using spelt matzo assuming you have wheat matzah but you just prefer not to well some people can't eat we might say and it's a hitter issue isn't it well i mean um it's kuzmin it's kusmin which is one of the five uh right uh my question is is there anything wrong with using it i i don't know of any problem with it um i have heard with oats with oats some people are hesitant but with spelt i haven't heard any problem i asked rabbi rabbi franco yesterday our halloweek institute director and he didn't know of any problem with using spelt monster either so i have cost arthur rosenthal rosenthal wrote in that costco has shimura matzah for 16 bucks right whose watcher is that that's okay that's under new square i believe which is a very reputable lecture usually usually with with uh with shmoor matsu we only like to recommend matsus that we have seen or one of the office rabbis has seen the production and approves it but that's a reputable hatchery if you know it's not something that we have any problem with at all you know it's a new square is very very uh reliable um okay um we have a question here about the about the almond flour so about a person who has some strictures about buying commercial products if until now they were leaning to buy ground almonds is there any reason not to buy almond flour okay so if you're buying it from a plant that is only making almond flour i don't see any problem with that it's not there's really no issue if all they're doing is almonds then uh nothing else is in the factory then there wouldn't be uh there wouldn't be an issue okay and then there are some other questions okay so we'll get to as much as we can let's continue down our tour of seven miles shall we everybody please okay let's go back it keeps taking me to the beginning let's do that flower oil one more time why do we keep going back okay here is uh solid white albacore tuna this has a california light it has a star kep on it it's uh obviously it needs it's a cooked product does it mean that's again or something is that like 10 bucks a can or something no i don't think so i think it's reasonable okay 18 minute matzes uh we we these this is a fine lecture for pesach those who have listened to us in the past uh know that we used to certify this the particular brand and um heinemann took off the hack shirt not because of any cautious problem it's perfectly fine but it's an issue because it's not none of the 18 minute mosses unless they are specially made the ones that just say 18 minutes are really made in 22 minutes because they don't count the first four minutes of kneading because it doesn't become comments while you're kneading it for those four minutes so really they are 22 minute matches rahman thought that people reading a box that says 18 minute monsters might think that it actually is made in 18 minutes and he had a problem with the you know he's okay with it with the 22 that's fine it's not it's it's perfectly fine it's just he was afraid that people might misconstrue what it means and we don't uh we don't give action to any 18 minutes unless it's actually someone actually is asking are the new square matzos 18 minute or do they according to the svera minute that's 22 minutes if their hand monsters they're going to be real 18 minutes so that's not a word okay i mean does it use hasidisha time that's the question yeah that's it yes right okay i'll see them just a joke let's not get you know we don't want to get angry emails okay um these are uh spelt uh matzus which would be fine the these have the uh you can see they have the dots on them they're made in those would be fine a lot of people are are becoming allergic to wheat or you know regular grains a lot of people are going to spelt and and oats okay this is an issue we bring up all the time gluten-free matzah-style squares which are actually shahakal it may say something about that up here on top in the print i can't in a small print i can't see it they're not matzahs right they're not monsters now you can have gluten-free monsters if they're oat monsters possibly but these are made out of out of potato starch so you can't use them for the sather and they are shahakal okay let's continue down our tour these are libra sucralose so this is a a substitute for sugar sugar substitute and um it's not xylitol obviously it's made differently but it is something that would be like it's like um what you call it like um not xylitol what's the other one saccharin no saccharin whatever the the the yellow uh the yellow packets no it comes during the year you don't even know i'm not sure what you're referring to honey you use honey all the time what are you going right all right think of it all they have pie crust what are we missing you're ready for pasta with uh with a libras with a piece of fracture gluten free of course and this one i think is new this this wow pecan pie crust is a new item that i was told for this year miller just let me know splenda splenda thank you miller okay fine okay is circle spun that's at the same thing i don't know okay here we go this is the spice section bottom line is get spices with a cochlear piece of hamster here we have melafor pickles really pickles yes so if you look on the side here that definitely needs a piece of texture you could see okay so what i want to show you is right it says that the dot says local el peso it doesn't include peso but on the other side of on the other side which i didn't take a picture of oh here you can see over here you can see over here it also has i believe the some software benebrach peso hector um oh it's hard to read anything into the fact that this is what i want to show people it's hard to read anything to the fact that the dot says it doesn't include pesos it could be because they weren't there it because it doesn't mean that they have a problem for pages i can read it it says it doesn't include face off yes says no no no no no no the ou is giving actual basics so this other hectic which i think is the same so for benebra so it's a thing no the badass does not mean that the dots is saying don't eat it on pesach it means our action does not include peso that's all it means it means they weren't maybe they weren't hired to do peso they weren't there during the basic production possibly it means they have some complaint on it not necessarily that it's just their way of doing it local el peso we weren't asked about peso we're not giving a piece of action and and it does not mean that i i i don't really have a problem with it unless i heard from the dots that there was a problem but i mean they they have a piece of hector there's nothing in there that i could see is a problem i wouldn't i don't want you to not um use it just because it uh it uh you know it says does not mean it's not good for space it means they didn't give an action okay this is an important sign that isn't seven mile all customers are urged to check that products a mark for passover because now that you now that we've just seen the pickle the pickle can yeah you may find that that some things are on the pace of shelves and you bring it home and it's actually not for peso and we've discussed this many times in the past because maybe the people putting out the boxes uh put them in the wrong shelf or of course somebody walking down the aisles picks up something and thinks it's for passive then when he gets to the pacex section he thinks that he realizes it's not and he puts that down and picks this up so you need to check everything just because there's there's you know 15 uh soup models over here that they cost you a peso it does not mean that the one that you picked up is you have to check each one for pesos here are some star ou has a list of of the non-milk drinks that are acceptable under certain circumstances like if um you know you don't you need it you have a child it's bought before peso all those there are there are uh i think that maybe it is in our book rabbi is it it's probably in our in our list the list of those that you can buy if you don't have access to the ones in the country for peso under almond milk i questions we got in the chat um okay aren't all unopened paper goods acceptable and paper towels less the first and last three towels on each roll per cornstarch used as glue okay so that's referring to paper towels that they use some cornstarch to hold them together so they don't roll off and once you take off those the rest of the paper towels are acceptable that's true with paper towels but stock has a problem using hot on paper because of are we buying star touch we're not sure about the starches that are used in there are they acceptable for pesos so that's an old starcate policy you called natural earth is kochi le pesach we got it from fields down south down in south america that don't have any problem with with any hummus grains and we made a special run with it we uh we were there during the run and that's available in baltimore new york we got a question somebody lives in virginia where can you get coachella pace of quinoa in baltimore in baltimore right well somebody else invited us to virginia so we can invite the virginia people to baltimore to come shop well yeah we'll bring you some quinoa and you bring us the plates right okay if the towels are half sheets do you need to take off the first six instead of the first three i think we actually mentioned that we have a statement about that i think there is something like that that's really a kind of a in the weeds question but i think it says if rolls of our half size sheets this rules applies to the first four and last two sheets so that is the way that we came out the point is you don't want to use the the following raisins are approved for you son pesach provided that oil does not appear the ingredients not appear in the ingredient panel great value and great value which is the walmart brand is on there so it does not require a p just a regular year-round hectare which i think is ou or uh or also doll brand essential every day trader joe's same thing brand wegmans what's that not sun made no sun made no i think somebody has a hamster doesn't it i think um did we talk about them already i'm getting i'm not no we didn't they didn't okay how do we get that booklet you showed at the beginning we said you can buy it go to our website stardashkay.org and look at the peso the passover link it's in a lot of book stores i think isn't it jewish moon stores isn't it in some cases a lot of bookstores yes you can buy in the bookstores you can buy it online okay are raisins bug free okay that is a bug question really not to do with peso but um we're not worried that all raisins have orbs as some might be but but if you don't store it well then it could get bugs so be careful coconut oil okay so we should let you know that star k has we have um we have x couple of brands the kirkland brand right rubber bar uh not about that one yeah um [Music] i know that that's i know that uh yeah but we have kirkland brand one second let me bring that up but we also have um we also have a shoprite brand oil with kirkland kirkland organic virgin coconut oil with a star k is kosher pesach without a p okay that is something that and there's also there's a wholesome pantry i think is the brand which is a car which is a shoprite brand uh we have it also coconut oil um but it needs a pee star kp okay okay we have some questions here about mouthwash so for that we have our handy dandy um quick pick list and we have on that list which i gave the link before we have colgate all colgate mouthwash and it says all of them use vegetable glycerin so cautious is not a problem crest scope all of them are okay and listerine uh major the main ones are okay cool mint total care zero ultra clean and zero alcohol those are those are acceptable there may be some others but really cool mint i think that the famous you know green listerine that's the cool mint that's that's acceptable for uh for peso you probably want to get a new container because you know it's hanging around your house the rest of the year um tamara says can we get a print out of all questions and answers okay so thank you for asking that question the answer is answer is probably not the answer is that that is not available however beyond our technical prowess right right um the starkey scribe is um but we will we do this is being recorded which i should have mentioned at the beginning uh maybe something on powder there's coachification again that we there there is but we would have to take a look at i think it's um it's the standard what's the metamucil you have that information reminder um it's on the quick pick medicine so right yeah okay so we can read that the metamucil metamucil four in one original coarse powder made with real sugar that has no kidneys right and metal metamucil four in one orange smooth powder regular and sugar-free that that apparently does have kidneys um so the the preferred one would be the one without kidneys okay um do the raisins we showed need the pesticide yes raisins needed a piece of actually any picks of approval so we mentioned a few before that have that have um pace of approval uh maybe it doesn't have it on the on the on the jar but you need to know that it's uh it's it's approved for pesos by the agency why is someone said you can't cash your personal mugs that's your that's your department you were the one who brought it up i'm not no it's not my department i'm not in the mug department so the answer is because you don't have no cash for porcelain you don't cash your porcelain or china china we don't we can't capture those because the gemara says that they absorb and they don't give out so you can't purge out of it the non-kosher or the or the comets uh that's in it but you can buy normal mugs and use them on pesach every person you can buy a normal mug and use it again and again on right correct that's you know if we're talking about sustainability exactly probably buyer i i'm the green rabbi you know definitely instead of using hundreds of styrofoam cups or even paper cups yeah you use it use reusable that's it okay save the landfills right so yeah okay uh elona wants to give us a a uh pat on the back we're doing great various items for pay stuff we have to that when you see a video it's much more effective than just talking about it um so i recommend people look at those but the glass stove top uh cannot be cautious because you would need to torch it and you'll you'll ruin you'll break your glass um so there's a whole thing doesn't cover them either it's a big problem right in the past we said get a little disc clean clean it get a little disc put it under your pot and then uh cook like that it's it's doesn't cook so great but it will separate between the glass top and your pot and then we came up with an idea of using a diffuser uh which which are made for this the same you know it separates between your pot and the the stove top where do you get that where do you get those dot com where do you where do you get anything amazon amazon right yeah amazon right you say diffuser on amazon you're going to get one of those like things that that shoots out like the air you know in your you know for atmosphere or whatever you know what i mean try oven diffuser right diffuser okay i should mention that before you you're doing these things you first want to clean and then turn it on turn on to high till it turns red but that will only be effective for the area where the coils are it gets red but the outer area won't get cautious that's the purpose of these these contraptions and then and then in in this year and last year we started recommending a um an oven mat which is some sort of fibers in the mat that rolls out you know people were saying it doesn't falls apart or something on that well you know it's it's it's there is one with a star k certification now and it comes with all the rules of how you use it and so on and uh that would you know you still want to try to avoid having your your uh your pots spill over but those are the way the bottom line is the glass we're trying to work out a system the old you know the the old electric and the old gas uh stove top is actually much better for pesos your cups should spill over just not your pot okay let's let's go back to our presentation and see what more we can do okay it's almost an hour everybody we've been we've been on time flies when you're having fun you know what time flies yeah i don't think we'll be able to get to all the questions here let's talk a little bit about we didn't see all the pictures no we didn't see all the pictures right let's go through them quickly okay um yeah there are the books for sale you have our book or by bill mckenzie's book you can get them there here's the pompeian oil this is acceptable with the plain star k it doesn't need a piece of texture and the list is in our book of many brands like that here hot cups okay foil wrap does not need a piece of hamstring you can use any brand same thing goes for sandwich bags same thing goes for table covers plastic table covers powder say it again i said make sure there's no powder right absolutely okay here's something interesting for you let me make this a little bigger these are sardines seasoned sardines with no you and um you can oh it's not 100 clear but you can see over here this has the ou p yeah i see that and this has just a plain oh you okay so you have to be careful to get the one it's the same product right yeah one's a little darker green i think okay one is a little darker right that's true by differentiate very small difference and the reason for this is because of covind i only i i was on the lookout for this because i saw the alert from the ou because of kovit they were not able to get to wherever this is made in vietnam or wherever it is and uh and they weren't able to make a special piece of production now is there's i'm sorry go ahead no go on come on they made it with with without pesos but without a pace of hatchery they just made it you know with with regular visits but without a special uh visit and that's why it doesn't have a oup on it but it's it it is something that you need to be able to look at if you buy that product were we concerned about the the anasakis in the um right with sardines we had said something about only skinless and boneless i think um i'm trying to remember that's another issue yeah that on the side is exciting i have to double check on that but then i'm talking about the pesach issue i know i said right okay the seven mile market gets kudos for this this section is not for peso you have here matzah's whole matzah that's available and uh but it's not it's not it's not kosher peso there is mata that's not kosher peso you make it all year right and passover matzah can we find in il-10 i think there was a discussion of maybe that they should just block this all off and not allow people to buy it you know a month before pay stuff but that's that's not what was done and they just they put up the sign and hopefully people will read the sign here's something interesting kirkland water water doesn't need a piece of hershey right right buyer right but this particular water has in it um citrates potentially and uh in the past the ou used to say that this was good for pesach and through the eagle eye of rabbi beryl brody in detroit who noticed that it has citrates i believe that they retract it and they don't certify this this water anymore for pesos so water that has look look for the you should look for the ingredients on bottled water it should just say water or some minerals but it shouldn't have citrates that's spelled c-i-t-r-a-t-e-s anything that says citrate would be would be a problem okay um let's move on down everybody do we have a time that we have to stop um i don't know when is me my contract says uh my contract says one o'clock any time that past that is overtime okay this is the meat section and there's a sign there for passover why do we need a sign why do we need a sign for peso um yeah yeah because um we used to say any meat or chicken uh that's kosher is also kosher for pesach we stopped saying that in past years because the proliferation of different types of deli rolls and all types of of hummus in that air in those areas uh we want somebody meaning the hecture to take responsibility for it and say that it's kosher peso so in this uh in this store here is the sign that this is you know kosher the peso some places could be kosher paste the whole year that's fine but you want to make sure with your hecture that it is that it is okay this is oh okay this is the mango we mentioned before mango chunks okay and the frozen mango chunks you can see over here the one ingredient mango so that would be acceptable uh say we could save a little money by buying that uh this is fruit leather kosher for peso you could save money by making it yourself oh take apple sauce your piece of apple put it on a baking sheet on a wax paper on a big baking sheet uh put it in the oven so it dries out overnight on a low flame and then you'll have um you'll have coachella peso fruit leather okay this is waxed unflavored um dental floss and unflavored tooth flossers which is what we recommend for pesos it's not so easy to get seven mile is stocking them the flavorings are not kosher face off so therefore we don't recommend it uh it may be easier easy to get it online it's hard to find it in like a rite aid and people are generally not interested in this so you got to look for it this is the listerine that we mentioned before that so that's acceptable palmolive is good ajax doesn't need any special extra and dawn uh that's the last picture i have end on a good note a good note right these are acceptable for pesach okay we have many many many more questions um are there any that you want to you look through the list or everybody or anyone no okay um um i i don't know i don't know what what to do there's all i assumed that there was some good discussions here back and forth among yourselves but i don't want to uh skip anybody but i don't see how we can we can
