have the articles and our list together throughout my best is medicine and cosmetics list getting thicker every year yeah we had more information what's new for this year every year we sit down and we try to figure out what we can do what else come in here sometimes we take things out but mostly we had there is we had an idea to add it does cost a little more but that's not I don't think I do with the size it's not really who said the price bookshop who said the price it's not a money maker for us really but you know we'll discuss that in the past it's a really public service and and like many right this is a way you know this is a way of saving money you buy this is I think the cheapest toothpaste actually a Melissa no I think which is ultra bright it's cheaper than a $1 everything really take any any samples but I'm sure that there are there are there are kosher figs I can't remember the email mentioned the discussion on honey and frozen salmon okay so let's get to what we promised together no just two separate things huh the honey is I always like to mention honey honey you know here's a cultural piece of honey you know it's one pound and honey is expensive and is expensive during the year and and Facebook is certainly expensive the Kirkland brand the Costco brand honey has an AUP all year round and that honey is Lopez Khosla position yeah and it's relatively cheap and that's why I would I try to get that it's we have saving money I was in the company not too long ago every buyer honey company no no they make some other products and they sweeten products I use honey okay and he has like he had like a truckload of of Kirkland money and he says he cannot match the prices it is like little 69,000 but they have actually I think five pounds yeah so it's a bottle like this size he buys hundreds or thousands a truck will pick it up and then he got the biggest company that I have but he takes the honey and he turns him over to get all the honey out into the content of his into his pots and he says he can't you know they the Costco pies it by how much they buy so then you think it pricing on it I mean it's not doing it for pesos for all year just just to show you that it really is fantastic pricing and I think people should should look into them then we have these they want to talk about the salmon the first and sound is a little bit of a discussion um so it could be another it's not really in the book no we required on salmon to have the skin on it so you can see where the that it has scales right that you need to then you can check there to have scales cuz every fish needs to be checked for scales so we only allow salmon either that has a hatch of the checks or that actually comes with the skin on it and you can see that in that scales okay but we get a lot of calls on basic time about Salmons that don't have that skin on it but then we just want another use it all year they won it was it good for paisa right they use it all year based on other agencies have a theory that the color machine is sufficient for is sufficient to prove that it's a salmon the coloring this and question is can I still write something either during the year which is not on a policy but the only ones asking us is it good for pizza so the answer is it some of them yes are good for pace that they don't have pace of problems like the recommended way because it on their skin right that's true but they're not asking us about it because people are relying on so we do that let me take a look I don't want to make a mistake so let me take a look on our list over here we have the Oh what's the issue with the salmon the issue with the salmon could be then it has corn syrup corn corn Cyril it's dipped in corn syrup sometimes it is frozen processing aids and things like that so for instance you have the I'll let me read what we tell people all frozen uncooked on seasoned salmon which is product of chilly including the sea worthy brand which is sold at Sam's Club that's a popular one so the seaworthy brand sold in Sam's Club and having the cuff K does not have any pics of issues with it basically as long as if it's frozen it's uncooked it's on season also the Kirkland which has the o you the frozen Atlantic salmon also doesn't have any piece of issues so that's what we tell people about the about the salmon again according to this dark area you need to see the skin which these don't have I don't think and see there is sea period right WI are th white right so in case you're gonna run out to store seaworthy I'm gonna find it can I use Listerine strips on pay sauna the answer is no because they're not certified by the tough K for patients just for all year and they have a name which could be problematic um I want to point out over here um we have two batch me tabachnikov tabachnikov ah-choo I know magic okay it has a star K P meat so it's chicken broth that's flakes and these are done with a special mush yeah with the vein they conjured and actually I was in I was in San Antonio not too long ago and they have it in whatever they have they have a kosher section down the country I don't remember the story Albertsons it wasn't al words it wasn't a Kroger better h-e-b that's an h-e-b EEP h-e-b is the name of the stores that they have the chain stores they have a kosher section and they have these these products there that's an interesting thing what else do we have did you bring any Sephardic - mm-hmm I would for the rice there's rice that's acceptable for Spartan but then I didn't see it on the shelf but there is again some of the cheaper brand you have Himalayan pride and super lucky elephant so the Himalayan pride you have the basmati rice has a star K and that's darkness doesn't it it all has on the package as a star K oh really mm-hmm the super lucky elephant jasmine rice has a star K and that's sufficient for the to say that it's kosher for Passover stardom and the reason I'm mentioning those it's cuz those are available at Costco Walmart Sam's Club and so on so they probably would be cheaper cheaper there's also a brand called Carolina Mehadrin which has on it the star SP on it and distributed kosha stores so but i didn't find any rice available to bring but else do we have we made the change in our book last year continuing now this year really forever we used to say that meat and chicken that you buy in your local raw raw chicken not ground by whatever is good for all year was good if a ghost or Pesach as well and we made the change because we realized we had a number of stores where the meat and chicken are prepared in places where they make kishka or whatever you know and all year and the clean outs are not necessarily good and they don't know it separates from the slaughterhouse it's fine it's just once once it gets to the store level look at three packs or things like that right okay so so the meat and chicken you're gonna see in our book now only recommended with with the pace of texture or with the base of approval meaning it may not have a face book stamp on it but you call the agency that certifies or this whoever certifies that store and your last name is the mean and chicken from here you know good whole year including Pesach and you'll get your answer but not just that you buy it with the regular extras good all year we don't say that anymore because we realized that this some changes in a foot okay let's take some more of the questions olive oil for Pesach olive oil for Pesach we required to have a kosher face of simple even extra-virgin olive oil we do require even though I know there's a dispute among some agencies that's our policy needs to have a business actually the warmest mr. Peter Halliwell vide is asking Kirkland's almond flour is also kosher for Passover so kirklands almond flour we checked into it this year last year we are with we are satisfied that with the pace of question that's not it it is acceptable that also is a good money saver because I'm a flower economics in South Florida you can be expensive right so I would sugar it's a way to save some money well I mean this is Domino it has the okp all year basically so but sugar doesn't need plain white type of sugar does not require a special paste not special piece of extra so if you have a store brand you can use them you can use that if it's cheaper you'll save a little bit really this is not any real shila's on it you don't need to buy it before peso doesn't have any comments and I wouldn't worry about it you can you can say let's take a look some of our other products here everybody that we have let's take a look over here okay what about cups during a buyer yeah plastic cups does it good you think you need to spend more for a facelift that you know we need to many of them at their time so you can save a little money on bagging a little nuts even though these are not keep not but these are almonds in the shell really if you know products they're in the shell really don't have any I mean making raw nuts walnuts should be okay for paste anyone know exactly or is there is a lot of sense ground needs attention missa and also you have one more thing about these all in half pecans are similar to any raw nuts but if you get pecans which are very tiny little pecans or pecans that's the same Brooklyn or pecan pieces then that would be those needed extra now what's the reason has to do with cleaning and alcohol and stuff right so dude so she say yes yeah entails because these pecans come sometimes with little worms right they don't want to sell you words so they so they sift them out so if they're beep them big ones big ones so then they just use a sieve that this takes out the worms if they're small so actually the worms are the same size of the small pecans right but they have to first float everything in alcohol right which makes the makes the worms clean and then they know they think because of the worms flowing out that's how they do it right okay we're having which although with our with our voice people calling in I just got to know because you know ailments are expensive nuts in general expensive so you get wrong ones so you put you pick up these these pine nuts before so I wanted to show you something about it here this actually this one would not be acceptable for pesos it so it has a regular whole year certification because it says manufactured in the facility that processes and packages products that contain peanuts tree nuts milk soy and wheat so this kind of facility you would want to make sure that they clean out the force it says on the package you would have to be you should be careful about it okay so why are you talking about some of the things your underlying there will I yes that was that was a hopefully can save a little money for people so frozen fruit for example on page 8 of the book so we say that all brands of frozen unsweetened additive free that means no syrup no citric acid ascorbic acid vitamin C whole sliced or formed fruit may be used so that would be something like peaches frozen peaches or possibly blueberries I don't know something like that but anything which requires any fruit which requires a certification because it's it's likely to be infested like strawberries or raspberries that considered that continues you know during paste off the bugs don't think a vacation go to hotel during Pesach so you get you could not get those for paste off without a half-shirt just like they were the rest of the year but the other stuff you can get without a half it without a special closure for face of texture or really without any extra frozen fruit like like peaches or blueberries and things like that which are not infested normally would be okay for pay stuff as long as they don't have any additives so I thought that was a good thing to know the same thing similarly frozen some frozen juices like frozen pure white grapefruit juice and orange juice without so there's our additives or preservatives or enrichments that's frozen calcium frozen ones right I know but that's the frozen and something for the chaos right to be bright you wanna buy the fritter at the cheapy we used to have when we were kids right but the one that comes in but the community most of the processing the right career pasteurization process right could be problematic right but if you could stand the frozen stuff very week then you might be able to save a little bit of money that way okay the spices require a pace of temperature so yes spices do require pace the texture because of the processing here's a brand that has okp on it and that would be fine brown sugar doesn't need a round sugar should have a half-shirt the process is a little bit different they actually take out the sugar naturally confectionery sugar is also a section of sugar sugar and the sugar would naturally be with be brown but they remove some of the roundness and cram this in the end they add it back in so the question is what do they do to edit back in disposable Dixie coffee cups rather buy this your well it's starve if it's up like a polystyrene like a Styrofoam cup mmm so those are fine plastic there wouldn't be plastic coated for coffee right no okay and the paper ones the paper ones I wouldn't necessarily do use it for pizza without a thumb knowing for sure that it doesn't have any starch in it real flimsy paper cups something like that like but I don't think you would use it for a hot coffee what they sell for hot the paper was this okay bones it's not for hot you need you need to know what's the problem okay okay so over-the-counter medicine cosmetics and toiletries is there a difference for Brent name-brand where's the store brand on your neck just it definitely is a difference and only the brands that recommended it only recommended for the brands are listed the generic could have different what they call excipient which are the thing that goes along with the medication to make it excipient yeah really right this cornstarch is other things this could be other words if you have a pill the amount of medicine in that pill that you're really taking is a very small percentage of it the rest of it is just I mean you want to take 4 grams of this what's costing so much money is it that little teeny amount or it's at the excipient it's the whole team you know but that little teeny amount you can't tell someone here take 4 grams of this or 4 milligrams of this how much is 4 milligrams so they have they put it into a pill that's of a size that's normal I think you can take but there's o all the other things around it that you know make it into a pill that's really where the question is and that can change now imagine that can change between 2 G generic and the brand name okay who you imagine no I'm just gonna say that many of the generics are made sometimes not all timed it for me in the same place when within the brand names that's not necessarily true you know there's a huge company in there too so called tablet Emma that makes a lot of generics I know that they make the brand names at all different is 10 right might be an exception well that was a huge company generic over the I mean generic prescription medication yeah so everything for medications because medic told you it's all different you have to leave me to ask a serious question about that because generic medication is a lot cheaper the name-brand medication so people need it and if you need to take medication right you know we're not saying that if a prisoner we should give we could make that stay right if a person has heart problems something seriously just take the medication and then ask questions right you have to you can't make changes be threatening to you but but you know if you if you have a choice then right then you have you know then you wanted you want to try to get something
