[Music] I can see it in your eyes there was something you were hiding you were holding deep inside you were fighting on your own [Music] all the nights you went to bed under covers you were crying with his words inside your head he stole your innocence so when you feel like hope is lost and you don't know where to go or who to call I will stand for you we can face the world together if we raise our voice and make the choice to learn to live again I will stand for you when you need me more than ever we will face the truth and find a new way through I will stand for [Music] you I will stand for [Music] you for as long as you remember you had troubles on your mind but at the bottom of the botle you left them all behind you said you would surrender all you needed was more time but the days turn to years and your promise turn to lies so when you feel like hope is lost and you don't know where to go or who to call I will stand for you we can face the world together if we raise our heart and make the choice to learn to live again I will stand for you when you need me more than ever we will face the truth and find a new way through I I will stand for [Music] you I will stand [Music] for and I love you enough for you to hate me for this I will say and for you we can face the world together if we raise our voice and make the choice to learn to live again I will stand for you when you need me more than ever we will face the truth and find a new way [Music] through we will stand for you Ellie schel is responsible for the uh lyrics and music for I will stand for you a couple things you have here that really took guts to to say and of course to sing about um it's clear in the opening to this song the first situation you describe is one of abuse and one that years ago would never have been addressed and if it was addressed it was only addressed in very private situations in our community you decided you know what this is a song that has to save lives let's let's talk about the situations that people are going through yes um someone close to me um went through went through went through this um it's hard to talk about but to write about that as well um to give it the dignity and to give it the um the the power and the dignity mixed it was very hard for me um but it must be said and it must be it must be spoken about and it's taken all the people that have been coming out about their their situations that have given that have allowed this song to be born because that's true without without all the people coming out and saying their stories I wouldn't be able to write about this this wouldn't be able to be received you know and the candles what like when you see the candles in the video what do they mean to you so the candles as you see that there are people holding candles and there are candles spread out in the back where you can't where that are not moving so those are representing the people that we unfortunately couldn't help and um and the uh the people that are moving with the candles those are the people that are reaching out and and um you know to accept that reality and to to know that this is this is the reality and we need help you know there's nowhere to go so where are we going to go this is what amudam is bringing and that's that's the bottom line I don't we need help and amudam is bringing that so there's nowhere else to go we need to help these people and Amud them is bringing that I will stand for you when you need me more more than ever we will face the truth and find a new way [Music] through we will stand for you
