that a man knows deep down his entire role and identity is that he's a provider and yet anything he could provide to her will always pale in comparison to what she ends up giving back if you don't understand why that is existentially terrifying for a man I want you to take a second to connect with your empathy and maybe you will understand and start to identify certain unnerving perplexing behaviors of your husband that may make sense to you now in this life so she needs him yeah that's true but what she does is so much more impressive and you have to understand why that's threatening and if you're all going to rush to minimize how painful this is for a man you're going to miss the opportunity to truly have empathy please understand how scary this is
