Overcoming addiction

are you struggling with addiction one thing that I know for sure is that I personally cannot help anybody overcome an addiction and in fact it is my belief that no human being can help any other human being overcome an addiction I believe that getting over an addiction is something that is between the addict and his or her higher power that's it when the addict is sick and tired of being sick and tired and is ready to surrender to a completely new way of being then trans formation can occur but unfortunately anything short of that seems to be an exercise in futility so sometimes as cynical as it may sound when somebody says I'm not really sure if I'm ready for Recovery the response is maybe you just need to suffer longer not that I wish suffering on anybody but sometimes a person's just not ready until they're ready
