LIFTING on 28 Sivan | A practical demonstration

(Crowd laughing) I'm going to speak in the language of Chatzi Kadur HaTachton And in an oifen of Chatzi Kadur HaTachton— Don't worry. I asked my kids before I took these. In Chatzi Kadur HaTachton we take the highest ideas the highest spiritual concepts and we bring them down to the most tangible level. So I'm building blocks over here. So you know that the Rebbe came to America on 28 Sivan not once but twice. Everyone knows the Rebbe came to America twice and both times was the same date which by the way is very unusual because in those days they couldn't even plan how long the sea voyage would take so they didn't even know what date the ship would arrive So the Rebbe came with the Rebbetzin 28 Sivan and when the Rebbe brought Rebbetzin Chana after the war also the Rebbe arrived the same exact date. So you got to think there's something to that date. Here's what i want to explain to you. On one hand 28 Sivan is a yom hatzalah. It's true. There was a Holocaust There was a war. The Rebbe and the Rebbetzin were running from the Nazis. Al derech in Satmar you know they have 21 Kislev, right? The Satmar Rav caught the Kastner train. Okay, yom hatzalah. But I want to explain something to you. 28 Sivan is not just a yom hatzalah. It's not just what the Rebbe and the Rebbetzin were running from. It's what they were marching to. In order to finish the job that started from creation it could only be done down here. It could only be done in Chatzi Kadur HaTachton. So it's not just that the Rebbe and the Rebbetzin got away from Europe during the war. It's that they were able to come to America to the place that has to be the center of activity in order to bring Moshiach. And I'm going to tell you very clearly with a moshol—It's not my moshol. It's the Rebbe's moshol. If you want to lift a building. You want to lift a big building. You can lift a building. You grab a building from the top... You can't lift it. You lose it. You break it. But if you have a lever— the Alter Rebbe talks about it in Torah Ohr—a lever. In Chatzi Kadur HaTachton we say "lever." You get up under it. You get up underneath and you can lift the whole building. (Crown applauds) Let's do it right. With drama. Chatzi Kadur HaTachton style. You get up under it! (Wild cheering) What does that mean?! That means that America is the place and the ir habirah of America is New York where we lift up the entire world not just the Chatzi Kadur HaElyon of Olam HaZeh HaGashmi but gantz Seder Hishtalshelus. They're waiting for Moshiach in every olam. In Olam HaAtzilus they're getting an aliyah from what's coming out from 770 in New York. So it wasn't just what the Rebbe and the Rebbetzin were leaving from. It's what they were going to. Chatzi Kadur HaTachton means chibur maalah umatah. The real chibur maalah umatah and in that sense 28 Sivan is more Matan Torah than Matan Torah. How can you say such a thing? The whole inyan of Torah is chodesh hashlishi. What's shlishi? Shlishi is paradox. Right? Nissan is milmaalah lmatah. Iyar is haalah—milmatah limaalah. Sivan, chodesh hashlishi, is the chibur maalah umatah—the paradox. Torah is paradox. Torah is able to be kolel all the truth— Ruchniyus, gashmius. Creator, creation. Finite, infinite. So the whole inyan of Sivan, chodesh hashlishi, is chibur maalah umatah. Now... there happened an event on 6 Sivan called Matan Torah. But what's more Matan Torah than Matan Torah? Koach Sivan. Three times three plus one. A chazakah of a chazakah and one more for good measure makes it 28. The word itself means koach, the strength, the power. What's more "Sivan-y" than Shavuos? 28 Sivan. Because what's Shavuos? Shavuos means that the highest spiritual truths can be real, tangible— We can have props when we learn chasidus— down here in the physical world. When did that all happen? When the Rebbe and the Rebbetzin came to America. So let me explain something to you. 9 Adar means "America iz nisht anderish." 28 Sivan is: "America iz anderish." Davka from here is where we can finish the job and lift up the whole building. This is it. This is the basement. This is the foundation. This is where we lift up the entire world! The whole seder hishtalshelus is getting lifted up from this place! We have thirty days to get ready. (Applause)
