Day #37–Rambam DAILY Sefer HaMitzvos

today is day number 37 of our daily study rambam Savor Mitzvahs we are finishing up going through the rambam's version of the prayers and we're going to be finishing of the book of love you know who wrote the book of love there I'm update say for ahava there are 14 books in the mishna Torah we're going to be finishing the book of ahava and starting the book of this is my name which means times and that has to do with all the different holidays that we observe as Jews so let's finish off the prayers that we've been studying for the past couple of days we today that I'm deals with um the text of the grace after meals that's a Mitzvah that we had a few days ago when we were doing uh the laws of blessings and as well as the blessings on the the haftura the reading of the prophets that we read after the Shabbos and yamtif communal Torah reading and at other times and that finishes the book of ahava uh mazeltov now we're beginning we go right into a new beginning um the book of Zaman and the Book of times and the first halachas the first section or subject in the book of times is the most frequently observed Jewish holiday do you know which Jewish holiday is most frequent Shabbos it's every single week that's right and it is a holiday of course it is so here we go positive commandment number 154 positive commandment number 154 the Mitzvah of um [Music] on the seventh day you shall rest Tish boys you shall rest that is a positive commandment of course there is a negative commandment as well but I don't want to spoil the surprise we'll be getting into that God willing later but for today we have positive commandment 154 the positive commandment which is we are commanded to rest on the Shabbos okay there's a lot of days of Shabbos so we'll uh we'll have plenty of time to talk about Shabbos we'll see you tomorrow God willing
