Day #224–Rambam DAILY Sefer HaMitzvos

bar today is day number 224 of our daily study of RA in the three chapters a day of M study track we are beginning a new section ofas we're still in saer tahara the book of ritual Purity so it's going to be dealing with that subject of ritual Purity and impurity but it's a new section of it is tasin the impurity of food and drinks there's a whole set of laws that just deal with the manner of how food and drinks contract impurity and we're going to be studying from this section of Hal for six days and there's just one Mitzvah which means heads up we're going to be studying the same Mitzvah you know the way that we study sa Mitzvah we study the mitz as it corresponds to whatever subjects are being studied in the three chapters of day of mish so we we've done this before where we we had one Mitzvah several days in a row uh we're going to have the same mitzvah for six days here we go positive commandment 98 is the Mitzvah that comprises the laws of the manner of how food and drink contract imp Purity I will share with you one aspect of that today and then over the next several days I'll share a little bit more about it as we go God willing okay in order for food to be susceptible the word is susceptible or M to be susceptible to Contracting Toma it must have first come into contact with liquid it has has to have been made wet and there are seven specific types of liquid which must have made the food wet before it contracts before it's even capable of Contracting impurity okay so it's not just that the food comes comes into contact with a source of impurity but first it has to be made susceptible to that impurity okay and here are the seven liquids water Dew oil wine milk Blood and Honey and it's a famous Concept in the laws of Purity and impurity okay we're going to be learning this same mitzvah for five more days I'll tell you more about it over the coming days we'll see you tomorrow God willing
