Day #215–Rambam DAILY Sefer HaMitzvos

it is day number 215 of our daily study of and in the three chapters of day we're continuing our study of which we've explained is a certain category of impurity um we are in chapters 78 and nine in the three chapters a day of mish um today we have one Mitzvah just one Mitzvah and I've explained to you for the past couple of days that there are four people who belong to this category of this level of impurity and each one of these four people in this category is its own Mitzvah all right so here we go positive commandment 106 is the ritual impurity of a Zava I can't translate Zava I've never seen a decent translation of Zava uh Zava is a feminine word it's talking about a woman uh there is a masculine counterpart called aov but I don't want to talk about that today because I don't want to spoil tomorrow's Mitzvah but might just be tomorrow's Mitzvah okay uh but today let's talk about aava aava is a woman who has experienced a particular type of abnormal discharge remember yesterday or not yesterday two days ago we had the Mitzvah of a woman who becomes impure because of menstration that is a normal biological function okay a Zava is abnormal it is a pathology which is perhaps comparable to remember when we learned we learned about so it's that type of thing it's a it's not healthy uh but at any rate when a woman has this discharge she becomes impure and she's impure to the level of this category of impure that we've been discussing which I defined uh in much greater detail two days ago when we started this section of Halas okay so that's our MIT for today we'll see you tomorrow for more God willing
