Day #141–Rambam DAILY Sefer HaMitzvos

today is day number 141 of our daily study of rambam safe ramitz in our three chapters a day of mishita were still in laws of the first fruits and we have three Mitzvahs today all positive Commandments which are agricultural Mitzvahs we're in saferium literally the book of seeds all of our Mitzvahs are agricultural Mitzvahs positive commandment 133 is now everyone knows the word khala but you know what Hala doesn't really mean khala it's funny it's a misnomer the bread those loaves of bread the braided loaves that we eat on Shabbos we call that khala but it's actually that's not what really is technically khala is a gift a portion of dough that is removed from a batch of dough and given as a gift to the koihen to the priest so that is positive commandment 133. positive commandment 143 is another gift that goes to the kaihane and that is to give certain parts of the anatomy of the animal when you Slaughter an animal you give the four leg the jaw and belly of the animal as a gift to the koihane positive commandment 144 is another gift to the kahen and that is the first fleece the uh the shearing of wool from the Sheep we're meant to separate the first portion of a sheep's shearing and we give that as a gift to the koihane and that is a Mitzvah that is applicable in the Holy Land only in the land of Israel okay those are our Mitzvahs today we'll see you again for more tomorrow God willing
