i'd like to introduce you all to a
friend and colleague of mine at the ou
rabbi moshe schweid who is the director
of all daf and all parsha
aldaf all daf has been downloaded nearly
50 000 times
since its publication and it is utilized
nearly every day by by many of those
people myself included and i know many
of you as well
for those of you who are beneficiaries
of that app especially thank you guys to
rabbi shwade and his team of designers
and developers
and all of the rabbanim who share their
torah on that
on that app who have worked very
diligently over the past couple of years
to bring this wellspring
of da fiomi resources to life as well
rabbi shwade is joined tonight by
uh usher tesser who's here who's been
involved in a lot of the logistics
and will probably put you on facebook or
instagram by the end of the night
so thank you very much for all of your
help i would be remiss if at this point
i didn't add my appreciation to the
leadership of the orthodox union mr
moshe bain
the president of the ou and the
executive vice presidents rabbi moshe
hauer
and rabbi dr josh joseph and my partner
in the department of community in the
department of community projects and
partnerships
simon taylor is a pleasure and honor to
work with each of you and all of you
in our effort to grow the jewish
community i'd like to invite rabbi shui
to share a few remarks and share a brief
video thank you very much
okay thank you everybody karish for that
wonderful introduction
and the mr empire
i think rabbi karish epitomizes the
talmud herrera
magazine from what i hear the largest in
chicago
i didn't count so don't hold me to that
and the derek's
his beautiful meadows someone was a
pleasure to work with
wears many hats as he mentioned he is
the director of community projects at
the ou
he's a well-known moell and we wish him
continued success in atlanta and thank
him so very much for bringing everybody
together here
in chicago for this event
[Applause]
so i'd like to welcome everybody for
those here in chicago
on behalf of the ou and those watching
across the world globally to the old i
see him on the sector's humor
i see him is a time to reflect
and think back to everything we've done
and obviously to have a kara sative and
thank hashem and all those that helped
us
come this far and in fact this week's
parasha
is one of the places where the torah
teaches us this incredible lesson how
powerful
the meda of akara satov
what they've just done to you and
immediately moisturizing goes ahead and
he says
he says go let's get an army and go
fight him
johnny and the medrash asks mushroom was
just told by hakkadesh baraku you
yourself go fight
on him he didn't get in command for
putting together an army to go fight how
do you go ahead
and seemingly disobey the order of
akaddish baraku
and the measure says since maestro bain
who grew up in midyan
he had a kara satya if he couldn't
himself go ahead and fight
he said i have to send other people to
go take revenge from the medianum
and levitz asks
it seems to be a nice husband a nice
swara
despojo told him he should go fight
himself how could he go ahead and decide
on his own
that he wants to send an army to go
fight this war
and he says you see the power of the
media of a karasa
type mushroom used it as a meda
he went ahead himself and he sort of
speak darshan the words of the kurdish
and said even though i was told to fight
it can't be i was told to go do it
myself hakura satori
is that i have to go send others to go
fight this mohammed
so on behalf of ou leadership i've been
waisha howard
rabbi dr josh joseph mr mosh bane
would like to immaculate first to
hakadosh for
giving us this unique opportunity to
provide the world with this unbelievable
tool aldaf
and people all over the world we get
messages we know are using it
and we're very thankful for that we have
to thank the hosts
mr mark and rookie halpert for opening
up their backyard
and and having their house available in
case of inclement weather
but baruch hashem we're here it's dry so
again we thank hashem for that
the oldaf app has been dedicated in the
memory of a very special person
who passed away recently from casablanca
morocco
mr mayor wachnin who is a special
exemplary person
pillar of the community and someone who
respected and honored
his memory should be a blessing the siem
has been dedicated
by the goldberg family in memory
of elliott goldberg and just to say a
few words about elliot
he's someone is actually his first yard
side was this past tuesday
he lived for 47 years with genetic
disease and the average
lifespan for a person with this disease
is
five his parents
mr mrs goldberg kept him alive and was
one of the oldest living people with
this disease
he went to the hospital over 250 times
in his life
but continue to persevere always looking
at the bright side and trying to stay
positive and it's certainly a lesson for
all of us especially the ones who are
learning that feel me
and day after day after day have to
persevere
in order to be able to keep up
so we thank the goblin family for that
and his memory be a blessing as well
just one short dra terror i believe it's
you xiaomi actually in
that says famous khazal any generation
that doesn't have the basement
built in its lifetime it's as if it was
destroyed
the question is so what should we do
about it how can we build a baseline
mikdash
so i saw brought down a beautiful
madrish and the measure says it's a
magician
that says um
anybody who puts aside his needs
and anything that's going through his
mind and that's bothering him
and he sits and learns
who says that's my friend that's someone
that i'm close to
although oh not only that illusion
that means anybody sitting here sitting
across the world
that puts in time every single day and
it's mavato there trachim
and sits and learns toyota is building
the baseline mikdash so we are actively
trying to build the bayside mikdash and
therefore hopefully you'll be sad on us
that we're not destroying the bayside
mikdash
which will be to have the minion base at
mikdash very
quickly
i have to thank obviously the old off
team that helped put this event together
rabbi david pardo usher tesla who came
and is here and helping out and all the
people on the tech team
that do a tremendous job keeping the
platform
consistent day after day after day it's
certainly not easy
and it's a constant 24 hour a day job
almost seven days a week when it's not
shabbos masterchef is a constant
constant
effort to keep it going i just want to
read a couple of emails that we got from
people around the world
to who showed their appreciation to
everything that the ou does and oldaf
does
we just got an email today from somebody
in
belgium who listens to the yiddish shirt
on old after rabbi ruben and he
he just finished his humor and he really
wanted a thank you for the most amazing
shirim
he says the daily shurim kept him going
and pushing through the daffin
the clarity and smack you've added or be
ruben to the learning
and that one hour is tremendous it says
i can't i can say i wanted to manage
without you so thank you rabbi rubin
for that and this is pretty amazing
we got this from a person
his name is rahmeel i'll leave out his
last name he says he
knows a boy who lives in charleston
south carolina his first name has been
yemen
he says it's a long story but in short
there is basically not even a minion in
charleston south carolina
that kind of gives you an idea of the
type of place it is
he's attending morocco in the summer and
visited him in philadelphia
where he lives when i asked him what
he's learning he says i learned that
yami with all that
we learned to daf together and it was
amazing out of this world
so barak hashem we're happy to hear and
see that people are using this all
around the world
and everybody that participates and
learns the daf
and is able to take the opportunity to
use this program is tremendous
we have a carson type to all of them we
couldn't do without the users
and again we thank the sponsors both of
the
app and the cm for dedicating
and helping out giving us the
opportunity to keep this going on a
day-to-day basis
to all them assignments all who are
celebrating the seam
of masek
the opportunity to sit and to to eat and
drink together to celebrate together
brings people together
we all know that da fiemi is an
incredible enterprise of limuratora
but it's also an outstanding expression
of a community of limuratore of people
coming together
and learning together and drawing from
the torah
as well as from the kawakatsibor the
power of the torah itself
and the power of being part of a
community of learners
the theme on the sahasiyuma is the first
in a series over the coming
over the coming many months of
opportunities for us to come together
to celebrate such sea women to
strengthen the bond of community that's
so essential and so beautiful in the in
the daphaomi
we at the orthodox union feel a
tremendous
tremendous privilege to be part of this
through aldaf we have helped so many to
be able to participate and to be part of
this community
we wish you continued mazeltov and we
hope to celebrate together
as we conquer and assimilate into
ourselves more and more
of the torah as we learn together and
grow together like del toro idea
certification analysis enhancement for
court
evidence which is often needing to be
boosted in terms of volume or fixed in
terms of getting clarified so that we
can then
use it in court
so just tell us a little bit about your
background and what you do
and how you got to old off and how you
use it today old off is this amazing
program that has a whole collection
of classes on the gomorrah and
every day it's updated it's beautifully
done i was really impressed with it
i started using it on january 5th of
after attending at ucla uh the
celebration
and i was really inspired my family was
inspired
i went through with my wife and my son i
started learning
i wanted to do it online i figured that
was the best way for me personally to
learn i
i saw the aldoff in the announcements as
an option and so i started listening to
different classes
trying out different teachers and there
was such a nice variety
each one has its own strong points and i
started listening to
a bunch of them actually and learning
the dot every day and
as i listened more and more i realized
okay this one has a little bit of a
problem here
and i knew because of my profession i
could clean it up i was hearing
scratching from clothing or
wind noise or crackling or
bang against the speaker you know the
microphone they have it on a
table or something and they thank you
for them exactly
and it's really loud and then that's
hard on people's ears i wanted to make
it
as easy to use as possible for those
recordings you know rabbi rosner rabbi
elephant
rabbi stefanski they all have fantastic
classes
and i love taking them so i wanted to
help i just figured look it's a free
service you guys are providing an
amazing service
from your organization the ou and i
thought
i can help this is something i can do i
bet no one else can do this
seven mistakes in eight months hi this
is misha shui director of oldapp the
that yami
app from the ou beginning july 9th
yami is starting a stretch of seven
familiar massages over eight months
sukkah rosh hashanah
join us at alda for this amazing
learning opportunity regardless of
whether you're that family learner or
not enjoy special features of weekly
giveaways
and most of all enjoy the satisfaction
of completing
these seven precious messes sign off
today
rabbi ephraim torski the murad of kahal
khasid
is no stranger to us at base madrid
every year where zohar to hear divrei
torah from rabbi twerky a number of
times
and it's never enough we're privileged
to have rabbi twersky with us tonight to
share divrei torah
after which we'll finish masek i'd like
to i'd like to personally thank rebbie
for making time to be here tonight i
know things are very busy
and we're looking forward to learning
from you to cover the torah rabbi turski
thank you rabbi thank you very much
robert kerrige
thank you mr mrs mark halpert for
opening your
backyard for this uh wonderful scene
with the host in your home
for many many years to come
especially yashikaya to aldaf
to ramosa very inspiring words a very
inspiring video
for many many years to come to continue
to be marvin's toyota to the entire
world
massatas we miss many times
we're on the threshold of
we're about to step into the nine days
which we hope that bakara will be
miss will be transformed the sausage
but as of it is as it is right now
we're still mourning the destruction of
the base amigdas
and it's so interesting how hashgate
has brought that the scene
which the entire massage that talks
about the awaiting
has fallen right now eric
i was trying to figure out before i came
i know them before i'm talking about
this
why is the message
it seems very obvious why the mistake is
called by its name
the word yama doesn't even appear in
the message why is the mastectomy
and i was thinking that
we know that the base amigners was
destroyed as a result of
baseless hatred
and we just take this as a given
it's because of sin and we know that the
only way that we're going to get the
base and make this rebuilt
is if we come together with
with the baseless love
just because we're al ghidashikanda
why is it what what is the connection
between basa amigdas and cena
why is it that the besan migration is
destroyed what is the middle can i get
me there what's the measure for measure
because there's that's why there's a
destruction at the base of magnesium
he left him alive
and who just went above and ben but and
asked him what do i do what do i do to
rectify
what i've done the fact that i've killed
all the israel
and baba bembuta told them you
extinguished
the light of the world as the positive
says
the light of the world go and rebuild
the light of the world
the best is called the light of the
world
so since the basement has been destroyed
the light of the world has been
has been extinguished we
we dwell in darkness the darkness
of exile
the night the long night of ghosts
and we all await the dawn of the of the
gula
now what is the definition
of what is the definition of darkness i
believe there's a pulsar
in
[Music]
the plague of darkness that took place
that took place in the time
where the positive describes what is
kaiser
and the pastor tells us
means when one cannot see their brother
that is the definition
of kaiser when we can't see
the tsar of a brother when we can't see
the symmetra of a brother
when the gemara status broke us wants to
give us a sign
how do you know when is morning how do
you know when it is day
so you can so you can read the kriya
the gomorrah says
and you can see your cover that means
it's day that means that it's light
so darkness is defined by the lord
darkness is defined when you can't see
your brother
and light is defined when you can see a
cover
so perhaps since we brought darkness
upon ourselves
since there was sin
we refused to see our brother
as a result the irish was extinguished
the light of the world the bay san
migues
was taken away from us
yum keeper is a day that
as the the python says we say this on
the philanthropic
mass it's a day
when call israel comes together
it's a day that we desert all of our
hatred all of our animosity
it's a day that we come together with
tremendous love we all put away
with lefnay
we all make sure to take care of that
before you keep or enter so we enter the
young kipper
with a tremendous love for each other
yeah kipper is the ultimate yama
it's the it's a day that represents what
is its yam it's not lila it's
iron it's not treasure
and this is why when you show up and
levy the gemara tells us
when are you going to come and mashiach
answered
with hygiene it has to do with him he
should have answered and because it's
ishmael why did he answer
him the answer is that because what is
necessary for mashiach to come
is for us to make to bring back
it's for us to bring back yama to bring
back the day
the light of
that we should see each other care about
each other
we might start with each other be missa
me with each other
it's bringing the two ores together it's
the oil of toilet
mitts with the toilet
that this was an opportunity for eden
all around the world
to come together and to be able to
discuss the same daft together
it's dafa join me as the duff that
brings back the yoim will bring back
the daylight of mashiach
and i believe that this is the reason
why the is called
the we're about to embark upon is
of me the father
of what that translates into
is that we're all brothers if they're
blindishly them is our father that means
that we're all brothers
that's the message of that's why the
pastor says in pashas ray
martin you're all
children to hashem your god
don't break up into different groups
you're all
children of wander by nishalam we're all
brothers
just want to end with a anecdote
a few years ago we know that argonne
abraham knows he lost his rabbits and
away he was very
broken he was very sad so
yes brought there's a baby in new york
very famous a comedian his name is
bianca miller
so they brought him to be
this was it was a clip that was went
viral everybody was able to see it
and the bianca miller said he told them
that there was a yid
that came came over from europe
in the 1920s
and this head was was committed to
holding on to his yiddish guy despite
all the difficulties in america
at the time and he opened a little store
in whichever town he lived in
the store took off very well and
eventually he built
another store in a neighboring town and
another store
and this ended up building into a huge
department store the tremendous
a huge chain of department stores all
over america
this person became very wealthy and as a
result
and a result of being an american those
years his children didn't remain from
one one day the seed started feeling
feeling sick he went to the doctor the
doctor told them
called in all the children he said hate
to be the bearer of bad news
your father has no more than six months
to live
the children made a quick calculation
six months
is holiday weekend
holiday season it's the hottest
season for the department stores they're
gonna have to sit shiva
that means they're gonna have to close
on the stores there's no way in the
world they could do that
so they decided that instead of sitting
shiva after their father dies they're
going to sit shivan now
so
to
as children
i was thinking that maybe this is why
this month is called menachem of
we're all we i'm tisha b we're all going
to sit down on the ground
we're going to sit shiven and we're
going to say yes
we're orphans we have no father and the
rabbi islam is going to come visit us
he's going to say i'm here
what did i suck up i'm alive and well
perhaps it's more convenient to say he's
not our father because if he's our
father that means that you're my brother
the divine islam wants us to realize
that he is our father
which means we're all brothers and
sisters
and when we realize that we're all
brothers and sisters
that will be the yeoman that
will be the day that becomes
day will bring back the oil
maybe i'll be
may we all be likely to get to come
together as brothers to realize
that our father is alive and well and
we're all brothers and sisters
and that's we all be cycling
to the uh
you very much rabbi twersky for your uh
divre gizuk
uh we're about to learn the final blot
really the final um
but i have to say four quick heartfelt
thank yous and then we'll jump right
into the daf
first of all i'd like to publicly thank
my wife rachey for her unending and
unwavering support
to enable my teaching of dakiomi
[Applause]
the back table all day every day
it is a remarkable commitment uh that
she embraced with grace and benimus
and while tremendously insufficient uh i
will at the very least say that i am
incredibly grateful
may we be cont may we continue to be
blessed to raise our children vidarkhaya
torah and on that note i totally walked
out during bedtime tonight
so really sorry about that but thank you
for that as well
i'd like to thank you coach berko
because this opportunity has been
one of a lifetime i am tremendously
grateful for this opportunity
few things in life are as challenging as
meaningful
or as rewarding as this journey to learn
more and more about kurdish baruch
number three to the rabbanim of our show
rabbi robinson and rabbi shakhtar
you are trailblazers in motivating
people to learn and grow
it falls off of your lips in almost
every drusha and the people around you
are a testimony to your uh to your very
hard work and that in that regard
and lastly to our kabura to the cover of
guys that come together every night and
every
week what a gift what an honor to spend
time together
i look forward to share every single day
with each of you and with all of you and
especially on shabbos especially da
fiomi
great to have everyone in person so
we're going to get started now with the
daf
we expected more about the back table
one shout out is sufficient
all right for the final uh vlot we're
starting at the very bottom of the
paid zion and in fact it's going to be
all about naila alaba as this is then
the elastar of the maserta
let's see where we're starting we're
starting five lines from the bottom
omarov
rav says
that if a person says in the ilah they
say that
so then that they don't have to say for
marv that night to be clear
this doesn't obviously it doesn't remove
the need to say krishna which is a
separate
but the need to say is removed because
you already said ela such as shitas
rab let's dig in a little bit rav la
taimei this matches perfectly with raj
cheetah that we learned yesterday what
did rav say about naila de omar slosa
you say rahee it's a separate shimon
estuary whereas shmuel argued and said
no
it's not a separate one an estuary it's
just a collection of filos but rav says
it's a separate small asteroid so it
makes perfect sense if it's a separate
one yesterday you already died in minha
you're after plague and you said ishmael
and esri you should beyote for marv
already makes perfect sense so says the
gemara
that's a bit of a problem because it
leaves an implication
uh but before we get to that the gemara
says that it's uh you say rahee
and vikhavan that sully lay since he
already said one schwann estrella sulo
doesn't need to but what's implied from
here is that if you didn't say
naila if you didn't say that schwann
esri you would be obligated to say marub
but that doesn't fit with another sheet
of raw um
does actually say this
arvis rashus all the way back to brachos
rav was of the opinion that philis arbus
is rashoos
but rav you left the implication that if
you don't say nila that you're
to say mari marv that doesn't work with
rob that's not rav shita
says the gemara you're right it doesn't
work with rav cheetah and rav was not
speaking
from his sita he was speaking ladies
he was speaking for hizball pluckta to
say according to maibal plugta
who says that really it's going to be
akhoba and this makes perfect sense
says hold on one second none of this
makes any sense how can there be a sheta
that says
you don't have to dive in marv after yom
kippur may save the price of rights or
yomaki purim
um on as we go into yom kippur
misfollows
monastery with seven brachos and we say
vidu chakras
chakra is another small asteroid of
seven brachos and vidui most of shevo
mizvada vin ila
mis paolo mizvada at the end of the day
we're getting there in the ila shower we
also say shimonastry with seven brachos
and we say vidui arvis says the gemara
arvis is after an ela
motei we're talking about moteom kipper
arvis as well misfollow
me right here we say is rashi highlights
the javi nenu
famously structured as the first three
brachles of schwann esri
the last three brahmos of shmona esre
and then one paragraph in the middle
that has components of each of the
middle brachas ending with baruch hashem
so that's the sheets of the tanaka and
rabbi khan on the bottom line of
paisayan
bays he says
you say a full eighteen brachas why meep
nations
we can't do the shortened version of
habinenu because we need to say
and you can't do that if you haven't
said a separate bra
so this is astira no matter what you say
how can raw be of the opinion
that nila potters you from maharaja if
this bryce says black on white
that even if you say nila you have to
say schwann s right from our one way or
the other having
or full no matter what it's still
showing esri says the gemara you're
right
great question and the gemara concludes
tanoyhi in fact
we're going to learn this braisa and
this brightest says nothing about naila
and after we learn this bryce which
seemingly does not talk about our topic
thank god we have rashi he'll give us a
glimpse into what this braisa actually
means detanya
two lines down the braiser writes call
haivetvillos anyone who has an
obligation to go to the mikvah
tovlin kiddarkan biomhakipuram they go
to the mikvah even on yom kippur
nida violades a woman who has is exiting
the
menida a woman who is exiting her you
may lay down she is
they're tovos kiddarkan yomaki purim
they go to the mikvah even on the night
of yom kippur
valkyrie if a person has a seminal a
mission to hold it
and this is where things get confusing
what does that mean if they have to go
to the
they have to go to the mikvah up until
minha what is he even talking about
so of course this has to be within the
framework of ezra
where we know that there was a
limitation from learning and from
davening when one was about carry
so continues the price with the second
sheet okay the balcario is total until
ribosi and that is the end of the
breissa very confusing
you just said that we know there's a
macho question now about whether or not
nila potter's marif where do we see that
in this braisa
so take a look at rashi rashi's five
lines down the first of the narrow lines
divor hamas
and we're going to go through both sitas
of the tanaka and of raviosi in this
rashi rashi writes
in ireland if a person prior to minha
has a it has a microlila so then it is
total he should go to the mikvah why
because he can't dab and without that
issue otherwise he can't dauvin
so if it's prior to this amount of
minecraft he has to go to the mikveh
even i know him kipper because he's
obligated
then he's not allowed to go to the
nikpha why not because he should wait
until after yantif is out
eli he should wait until it gets dark
out nameless tell
if is over vietnam then go to the mikvah
why what does the tanaka
hold this
nila balailah he holds that feels naila
is at night
ulla did who according to them poteres
shal arvis kidarav
this first sheet of the tanakama says
that one can only go to the mikvah up
until minha
this reflects the shita of rav and the
rashi continues about 12 lines down in
the rashes
according to the one who says you are
obligated still to say marv even if you
say nila rabiosi that's the sheet of
rabbi yoshida
kolhayon that one is always able to go
to the mikvan the day of yom kippur in
the case of michael islam
even if the mickerley was later in the
afternoon after we dive in toval beyonce
it's very clear at that point that it
has to be said during the day ula did
and according to him
aina poteres as shel arvis so a little
esoteric from the gemara side but rashi
does help to articulate how this mishna
reflects the malokes tanoim
about whether or not one is obligated to
say mairev if in fact
they were to have said if they were to
have said an elah
the gemara says hold on one second these
two shitas don't don't match up with the
next bryce
what does the next bryce i say the next
price it says we're going to ask from a
source in the tanoim
people who have these particular types
of discharges hamid sora
lepers male and female obvious someone
who violates that is
fine that's really not going to be
relevant to our need
they go to the mikvah need this
same thing now here's where we're trying
to align this bryce
with ours and it doesn't seem to match
says the gemara six seven lines down
balkeri toval the holy cow all right
previously the tanaka said it was only
up until minha here the tanaka
says you can go all go to the mikvah all
day and rabbi yoshi omer
the does reverse so that doesn't
work and the previous prizes that you
brought to highlight that really rav is
one of two shitas really it's a
mahlokistani
okay i understand but here this doesn't
even match up with those cheetahs says
the gemara lokasha
one bryce says talking about how the
feet lost nila one is talking about we
are already dave and nila
and the other is speaking about how to
load sally fine so that's how we answer
up the steer in the brightest asks the
gemara eat it sully
mai tai maihu di rabbanan i don't
understand if you already dive and then
why would the rabbana and say you're
allowed to go to the mikvah all the way
through the end of the day
why i don't understand you darvind
already what's the problem so says the
gemara kasari rabban and fila bismana
mitzvah
they hold of the principle that going to
the mikvah on a very fixed time
on the time when one is first obligated
to go to the mikvah
so then the din is that they're
obligated to go even though tashma
shamit is one of the khame fine
they go to the mikvah but it's in
there's no tash misha meat to find but
they have to go to the mikvah because
tv is a mitzvah so that's why the
obligate one to go to the mikvah
on yom kippur even if they already said
elah says the gemara that leaves an
implication that's very difficult to
understand
that implies if the rabbana hold that's
filip is a mitzvah
says the gemara one third of the way
down the rib yoshi savar
love mitzvah that raviosi holds that
fila bismana is not a mitzvah that
doesn't work because vahetanya the price
the rights
hareshahaya shame kosev al-bisaro say a
person is doodling they take a pen
and they're a sophia they write mamash
you'd have que they write their name the
name of a kurdish borah who on their arm
so that's what they did they wrote it on
their flesh i raised that low your heart
no showering for you
low yiso you can't put on any oils velo
yama bamako matinofas you can't even
stand somewhere that's
that's filthy you're not allowed to do
this shame hashem you're not allowed to
do that so it says the gemara
nisdamnolo tv mitzvah i what if a person
now has to juxtapose the issue of
exposing hashem's name or erasing
hashem's name
against the mitzvah of tv's mana so
there says the gemara what should you do
so here the tanaka says
vetovia no problem wrap a reed around
the shame of akaresh baruch who and with
that read you're allowed to go into the
mikvah no problem at all
ribose argues and says no he says yo
revetovel kidarko you are not allowed to
go find a reed because if you don't find
a reed you might miss out on your
mitzvah what does that imply about
riviosi
that philip isman is a mitzvah so he
says you're not allowed to go chase
after a gemmy a reed to wrap around
the shame hashem that's on your arm who
will vaccinate if you go into the mikvah
but you cannot of course rub off
hashem's name
vikkai milan it must be that he holds
this
seems that this locus is all about
monomits when rabbi yose is on the side
of tafila bismana is a mitzvah against
our implication
says the gemara a great question but
there was one thing that was missing
from our first marimoku what was missing
from our first
makkom was who rabbi yoshi was the child
of says the gemara halfway down
hahi rabbyosi bar yuhudahi the first
sheta of rabyosi
where we saw that he held that fila is
not this mana mitzvah that's the sheet
of rabiose
as we learned in massachusetts yoshi by
the omaha dialect
this may be a memorable gemara that we
learned in massachusetts right before
the new cycle began almost two years ago
the gemara there says has a whole
discussion sometimes you may have to go
to the mikvah 30 plus times
90 plus times and all the kesponos of
the gemara there what was the sheath of
rabiosi there
don't worry just do it at the end just
go to the mikv at the end
what does that imply about hishita that
it's not filipino mitzvah because if
his mana was in mitzvah you'd have to
find exactly the right time he's like
don't worry
just go at the end so obviously the
sheets of yoshi huda holds
that's mana is not a mitzvah we passed
in that way
that is not a mitzvah that's why
women never a woman would not go to the
mikvah on anyone kippur
of course there's no attachment because
it's kamehameha but even the mitzvah we
don't even pass in that way so we would
be leaning into under those
circumstances
and there are other succumb in the post
game that speak about this if
there are other scenarios that weren't
not going to the mikvah on time speak to
your local orthodox rabbi to ensure that
you know exactly what you're doing
uh the last 12 lines of this maserta i'm
so excited to introduce david merzel who
is the
mr consistent of da fiomi 8 37 every
night three minutes early shows up finds
a seat
and i know that he does have a job i'm
not joking i don't know what he does for
a living but
when i come in the morning he's learning
or saying uh learning hamish or gemara
or davening
or something or to heal him and then at
night i see the same exact thing and i
don't know what happens in between
so it's a covet guddell to have david
come finish the messerta and as well to
be messian
it's a little hard to see here oh boy
richard's robert robinson rabbi torski
which is rabbi schwed thank you for
joining us and
most of all we're shooting mercury shira
by karish who should be the one up here
being messiam but
i'll quote a mission imperative elvis as
well elvis and malacha
who's not sure about us for vicarish
puts in incredible effort and time to
give sheer every day
but when it comes to the limelight he
goes and sits down and leaves it for
somebody else
so we thank you very much for everything
you do for us day in day out week in
week out
[Applause]
one who sees carrie on the night of yom
kippur he should be yori vetovo ulla
arab and then in the evening
you shaft shafe he should go ahead and
check himself for katsita so the more i
what's that going to help you if you're
going to check for questions in the
evening following yom kippur you've
already been toval
how does that help ella emma meeba air
of your shaft shave in advance you
should be mashable shafe in case it will
happen on yom kippur that'll see a carry
so he is be he will be prepared for the
tavila
says the gemara tony tamakamed
to bring a maimer that anybody who sees
carrion yom kippur all of his
averroes are mahulin to him that day
tanya the gomorrah asked for a bryce
then bryson says that one who sees a
carrying young kipper
his avonus are all set up they're all
placed in order meaning he would be
punished for them
says the gomorrah maisidor and what does
it mean in siddhurin siddurin
li mahal they're sadurin to be forgiven
that's what's the door means there's no
stero between the two
donut reviews
one who sees carry on yom kippur he
should be concerned all year long
that perhaps he won't live out the year
name also
however if he does live out the year
move takloshiban allah shehu bin
al-imhaba that is proof
that he is a ben olam habba omar of
nachman baritzko
teda you should know shikola olam kula
roive why is he such an olam haba why
are we so sure of this
because the entire world has an issue of
an inouy vahusave and he has a carry
that comes and yet he lives out the
entire year despite that
he must be on a very special montrego
kyocera
ravdimi came from here to srell to
bubble omar he said
sage there was a saying in eric's israel
that mapiskai it includes
it increases excuse me sagi omas gay
more and more rashes as nasa
muskie the body movement will have many
children from that
and that is a proof that anybody who
lives out the year is a ben olam

yes
okay a tremendous mazel tov to everybody
the feeling the joy
of completing this message should
accompany us that we should continue on
i just want to wrap up with a beautiful
video and have had opportunity to speak
to
rabbi friend and robert piansky and
rabbi howard who discussed the power of
hummus
we learned the daf every day but they
all told us
that prior to the schedule of the
afiyami there was already a hero
to learn schneidermaker and the
importance of learning so
please take a look at the screen and
hear what they have to say
i had the privilege and opportunity to
sit down with rabbi musha hauer
rabbi aaron lapianski nobody sakura
friend each one of them well known
for their parsha shiurim and i asked
them the following question
why do you think it's so important for
people
to be learning hamish every time you get
some kind of
item or you have to find out how to work
it
there's a manual where is the manual for
human beings
you know how do you live life
how do you how do you raise children
how do you treat a wife what makes
people tick
the manual of the human being is the
torah
and and the parsha sha-shavuwa
and the mufour sheikh thousands of years
of commentary on the hamish
from people much wiser than us
and uh they know how to interpret it
and that's why learning of hominish and
the teaching of hamish is
so vital one of the tragedies
and one of the miles of homicides
we learn it at a very young age which
means we pretty much know it well
the tragedy is we have a six-year-old
understanding of it
and that's why it's the only
quote-unquote da fayomi that khazal
on the second was kriya satoru to lane
every week the parasha
and to uh to lane it with uh
targum this is this is what ghazal
instituted
so it's not just to be yotsei
we need to relearn it as adults long
before daf yomi
there was a national learning program
for people
to cover the torah for people to learn
the torah and be connected to every part
of the torah
every year and that was partial we
learned the parsha
you learn the parsha even with rashi and
you have a handle
on every part of the torah because as
the raman teaches the
torah shabbat is just a commentary on
the torah sheba saf
so anchoring ourselves and learning the
parsha and having command of it
reviewing it every year
gives us a real handle in the totality
of torah
upon seeing the success that the all
that app had
among dafy learners and all shas
learners i asked these rabbanim
what impact did they feel that the old
parsha app could have on claudius real
what does it mean i impart on the torah
it's not
70 shetland torah it's 70
very very different structures that all
approach the same point from different
ways
and all come to a total conclusion the
fact that
different magishur are dedicated to
different
types of um of approaches
whether it's morale whether it's a
serious approach
each and every one is it's a unit it's
not
a liquid but rather an ability to see
that each one is a complete world on its
own and as a world that complements the
other worlds
alparsa is is an incredible tool
that we hope will support strengthen
people's ability to engage in learning
the parsha
in much in the way of the aldaf app
which has facilitated the daf yomi
learning and strengthened and given
possibilities for review and insights
and
access to different and
and teachers although al parsha has the
ability to do that
for men for women for children for
everybody wants to learn
people listen to this and they're and
they're moved by it and it's uh
i think it's a tremendous host for the
ou to
branch out into the all-parsha app
it doesn't take uh i don't think an hour
of your day
sometimes it takes a few minutes and
i i i mean i frankly i'm surprised at
the
house in the very few weeks how
successful it's been
upon hearing the passion and excitement
is rebounding having sharing hamish
our goal is to continue to grow both the
old dive and all-partisan platform
to have easily accessible content for
all segments of claudius royal
have a wonderful day
[Music]
okay thank you again everybody for
coming and tuning in
would like to give a special thank you
to larry of deja views here in chicago
for the wonderful av and the live stream
that he produced for us tonight
i want to end off with a bracha bryce
that we just learned in the message
humor daf
the price says
everyone should be that shame shamayim
through learning
daily with other tirks and
that the shame
thank you very much and have a wonderful
evening
