Sinkhole Opens Beneath Dumpster Truck on 51st Street

A dramatic scene unfolded this morning after a sinkhole opened beneath a dumpster truck at 19th Avenue and 51st Street, causing the heavy vehicle to partially collapse into the roadway. Photos from the scene show the truck tilted sharply as its rear wheels sank deep into the ground after the pavement suddenly gave way beneath it. Dirt, rubble, and debris spilled across the street while workers scrambled to stabilize the vehicle.
