Should A Woman Post Photos Online?

Uh but quite a few students that uh are very serious about chaot changing their lives and many of them you know were pretty sure that their life was right that their path was right that where they were going was right until they woke up when they saw some of the things that Hashem says in the Torah some of the things that the sages teach us in the in the Mishna in the all types of other that we quote over the years and they compare their life to what the book says and say I'm nowhere near. So a person that wants to do chuva by definition chuva means to return to return to what? To return to which means you weren't there. You may have been close you may have been far either way you weren't there. So chuva is to return to and in essence is a form of chuva. It's just a a stronger connection to hashem. So some people need some people need to do chuva all together. Some people need a combination of both. But believe it or not, many people don't really know some of the sins that they're making because they don't even know that they're sins. Because many of the lectures today discuss, you know, good things and nice things, but very rarely do you ever find a lecture that discusses uh things that perhaps are forbidden, you know, on a day-to-day life. Uh and uh many times when people watch our shim, they uh they get surprised with some of the things that we mentioned that are forbidden even though it's basic level Judaism. We're not uh teaching any stringencies or anything that's above and beyond the norm. But we live in such an ignorant generation that uh even the basics are foreign to us. Even the basics are things that uh many people don't know. And I'm talking about the religious people. I'm not just talking about the uh secular people. Uh I just give you just an example today. You know, every day I get Hashem a few hundred messages every day. And although I'm never able to catch up, you know, we try to do our best whenever we can. And uh every time somebody sends you a message they uh automatically by uh many of these different platforms whether it be WhatsApp or or the other platforms you know they have everybody everybody has a profile picture and the truth be told is that I would say nicely eight out of eight out of every 10 pictures that women have in their profile is forbidden. Eight out of every 10. Sometimes you just say to yourself, which planet this person come from? Why would they want everybody to look at this picture? Why would they want anybody to look at this picture? And then the reality is is that many people don't even realize they have that picture. You come in. You come in. You come in. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Come in. Many times people don't know that they have these pictures. So every day I get these messages from different people. Yeah. Right here. Right here in the front. Right here. One second. Right. A little bit. Many times people don't know that they have these pictures. They forgot about them. So every uh every so often I mean I remind people, hey, by the way, you sound like a religious person. You sound like a person that's doing cha. You sound like a person that loves. You sound like a person that wants to do the will ofem. But if you could do yourself really me a favor also change your profile picture because you're forbidden according to the not your own according to you're forbidden from showing your own wife forget about girlfriend and anything like that that's not forbidden period to have a girlfriend you're forbidden from showing your wife affection in public forbidden affection when you and her are the only one that can see each anyone else sees you, it's forbidden. And uh you would think, you know, people always tell me, listen, I'm scared to tell my friend this. I'm scared to tell my mom this. I'm scared to tell this one, that one, this. So, you would think that people would be offended by this. And surprisingly, I would say more than nine out of 10, more than nine out of 10 people happily accept this on themselves and change the picture on the spot. Many times they forgot they had the picture. You know, they get so used to things. You forgot you have it. You forgot this picture is from a year, two, three, four, five years ago before you did chuva when you were still, you know, roaming with the rest of the animals of the world without any clothes on. Forgot about it. You forgot to even have this picture on Facebook, on WhatsApp, on this one, on that one. Forgot and no one told you. So many times people are very grateful. Oh, wow. Thank you very much. Thank you for letting me know. I forgot that me and my wife. Oh, wow. Can't believe it. And you see sometimes they change their picture and you see, wow, this is you today. This is what it used to be. Thank god I just just to see how much you've changed is already uh is amazing. Many times people are happy about it. And uh many times people are clueless about it where you have sometimes uh you know women you know have their uh wedding picture or a picture of when they were single um you know after they're married. And the problem is that when you're single you were allowed to walk around without covering your hair so long as it's still modest in a ponytail of some kind. Uh you know it's no problem. Uh but uh the second that you're married those pictures are forbidden for the public. really in reality a woman should never have any of her pictures on the internet. Uh you know and again it's a it's it's just simply not a good idea. It's not a good idea. We'll go over some of that re for some of the reasons today because it's you [snorts] have so many sim so many people that are you know have their minds in the filth at all times. Why would you want any man to think about you? Now if you do then you have the problem. you have a problem, go to different shooting for you. But if you realize that you don't want anyone other than your husband thinking about you, why would you have a picture of yourself on on the internet like this for just anybody to uh oh, why is it my fault if they think that way? Well, you put the picture up. What do you Why is it your fault? You put the picture there. What do you want them to look at something else? You put the picture. Truth is is that if you put the picture up, there is some type of an interest that you have for people to look at you when you look like that. And many times you see certain types of women putting their pictures on the internet and they're intentionally provocative. They're intentionally seeking attention. And uh there's really no one else in the world that I feel bad for more than such a person because the amount of sins that such a woman has gathering in her account on a second by second basis just by having that stupid look with her lips puckered. Just by having our our our our our body arched in a certain way, just by having a certain clothes on, just having that picture that took three seconds to make is going to cost them millions of years of suffering. Millions of years of suffering. And the truth is is that anyone that understands the dean, the judgment in heaven is scared to death of even entering a a footstep near it. As the says there was one guy that was sadik, but I had a little bit of had a little bit of dirt. You know, meaning I had a couple of simple sins and they said to him in listen, you're fantastic, you're amazing, you're wow, but you have a little bit of dirt on you that you didn't fix. She didn't do cha for these few things. So, so what happens now? So, okay. So, you have two options because you said sadik. You have two options. Most people don't have two options. They have one option. What's the option? He sends you without an option. But you only sadik you have two options. One option is you go to gum for three days. Not the worst type. Not at the seventh level. No one comes out. No, no, no. You know the low gum. Lower gum. the malim over here, you know, and over here, these giant, they're going to take you over there 3 days and you're out. You go to Ganed for how long? Forever. Okay. What's option B? Option B is uh you get reincarnated, you go back into a body, you live a full life, 70 years, and uh you have to fix this innocence during that life. Of course, you have to live a righteous life, keep Shabbat, keep this, keep that. But don't worry, you're not going to have the same test all over again. Since you kept Shabbat during this life, you're not going to have a difficulty keeping Shabbat. Since you learned Tawra during this life, you're not going to have a difficulty learning Tawra. Meaning, you're not going to have the same test over again. So, you don't have to worry about failing again. But nonetheless, you're still going to have, you know, tests. Sadik says, "Well, 70 years, a long time. I mean, I can fall. I mean, is strong. I'm just flesh and blood. This guy is Malik." No, no, no. Let me just go to Gome for three days. Okay, no problem. It's not three days. I can promise you that. Why? Every single guy looks at you, thinks about you when he's with his wife. One guy, not every guy, one guy finds you attractive, thinks of you at the inappropriate moment. So that's why it's highly recommended for a woman to not have a picture on the internet at all. But if you must have, keep it as limited as possible, headsh shot, and definitely not hugging your husband or any grown man. Why? It's not a good idea. Now, some women have the idea of, you know, they have a picture with their kids because that's their pride and joy and, you know, and it's cute. I don't generally recommend it. Myanita is very much against it because people are crazy today. Why would you want your kids pictures on the internet? But again, to each their own. There's no clear prohibition against it. But again, like I said, it's not exactly the greatest idea because there's just too many sick people in the world. There's just too many sick people in the world that think and do certain things. This is also the reason why last week, for example, we had the sh, you know, in my house. And as I said, I couldn't really invite everybody. There wasn't enough room. Uh but uh I didn't publicize and will not publicize my home address. Why? Because there's just simply too many sick people. Too many sick people. Quite a few times. I had people in my previous houses just knock on my door. Hey, hey, listen. I want to talk to What do you mean? It's 11:00 at night. Get out of here. Who are you? What do you want? It's my life. Go away. You want to talk to me? Come to the lecture. No, but I need to talk now. Okay. I need to do a lot of things now. People are crazy. people are the same. So you have to preserve preserve the goods that you have. One time I uh tell a woman to uh you know she sends me a message. I tell her, "Listen, uh you sound like a very righteous woman. You know, all the questions that you're asking me are questions of people that are serious about Juvar and everything. And I'm sure you probably forgot that you have this profile picture, but maybe you don't mind changing it." She starts crying. She goes, "Oh my god, I forgot ABOUT IT. OH NO. Oh no. And she like within a matter of like seconds she has a new picture. I said that's her. The new picture is like someone that just came from Mount Si Sadika. The one that Shemish this one look like she just I don't know a regular secular woman. I just thought you know nice person whatever you know you help everybody worlds apart. She forgot they had the picture. Countless times it's happened to me. Countless times. So, if you have a friend, you have a family member, you have somebody, anybody you know that's already in the Torah world, or even if they're not, highly recommend that you take the initiative and tell them to change their profile picture. Why? Because most people don't even realize what damage they're causing themselves with their profile picture. Strong lectures uh similar and different to the one that you heard tonight that are simply full of sources, honesty that's brutal but is effective. >> [music] >> It helped countless people get closer to Hashem because for the first time in their life, [music] they heard that there are serious ramifications for their bad actions, whatever those bad actions are.
