I had the pleasure of being in a sh a few months ago and Rabbi Jacob Jacob very famous theab Evangelical Rabbi got that spoke for an hour and a half on a Friday night and there was another Rabbi there name was AR he walked at a PO and he was like Wow an hour and a half speech no notes unbelievable Jacobson was able to do that they close he brilliant I'm going to give you a speech for an hour and a half without cuz I'm an idiot honestly when when Rabbi M he didn't tell me anything about getting an award he asked me to say a few words I was wondering why why you ask me is it because I've been around a long time like no I looked around our coordinator God's been here longer than us longer than me my good [Applause] looks and I came to the realization for the same reason I got to speak 40 years ago at the C of Manhattan I found I was very proud that they asked me to speak here and then I found out RAB had a very specific criteria someone that has the gut to speak and is dumb enough to accept I just want to share a a short thought with you guys um I grew up in a home where my dad spent 30 years as a member of ATA after retiring from ATA that wasn't enough he went on to dedicate two years of his life to helping the rebel when the rebel was sick and then after that became vice president of rccs where he deals literally 10 12 hours a day helping sick people all across the world find treatment and uh boms we don't talk enough about the sacrifice of the wives of [Applause] sh we get the better end of the deal in some ways we have the come friendship the nights out the nights roll with the guys the Thursday nights's restaurant in the bar Park 205 30 years ago we uh while they stay at home in take care of our children and uh they don't get enough recognition for all the effort that they put in to let us be out here doing what we [Applause] do for many years I have the honor to call him a friend happens to be my boss but primarily my friend would facilitate giving out to 130 to 180 families food for Passover which is just around the corner and of the 150 or 180 families help there was always two or three that will show up early they didn't show up early to get an extra box of food they showed up to help in life are givers and takers sometimes you can actually be both even if you have to take you will give if you are in this room tonight you are one of those that give every person in this room doesn't just give to Sham most people in sham are members and give in other ways other organizations whether it's or masas or I raised money from people in our immediate CH of community for other members of the community for members of our community and the people in this room are givers and ladies I'm telling you the fact that your husbands give of themselves to this organization and this community is something that is priceless for your children to see and it will shape who they become in the future because they will see it in their home so thank you thank you to my wife for standing behind me putting [Applause] up my deepest condolences to the officers here tonight for your loss it's a loss that felt like all of us in the sh community and I wish all of us for all of us a future where sham will not be necessary for the security aspect of it a time when we will all live together in peace and Harmony may it be with God to raise to itly in our days with the coming of M good evening thank [Applause] you
