[Music] yosef is so successful in potiphar's home that he becomes in charge of everything asia potiphar put podeofar's wife has a desire to be with yosef she tries to seduce him multiple times yosef rebuffs her efforts each and every time one time the torah tells us that everybody else wasn't home it was just yosef and just her she tried to seduce you safe it didn't work out he refused she grabbed his cloak though he ends up having to run out of the home seemingly without any clothes on embarrassed she is upset that yosef wouldn't give in when her husband potiphar comes home she lies she tells potiphar oh yosef tried to rape me yosef tried to be with me and i couldn't handle it i screamed out what is he doing potiphar gets upset at yosef yosef gets thrown into jail and there's a very strange story here also and in fact the gemara says that day that yosef came home to potiphar's home to do milachto and interpretation is what he came to do either he came to work because he knew nobody would be there he'd be highly efficient or one interpretation of the gemara is that he knew that it would only be a potiphar there and that's why he showed up in the house it's a very strange story yosef really why would the gemara interpret that the tsukim aren't indicative that yosef was actually entertaining this possibility and we in fact know that yosef has called yosef at sadiq he's one of the few people called sadiq you say why would we say such a thing about yourself sadiq and i think that that's what the torah that ghazal trying to teach us sadiq is someone who has normal desires that sadiq is someone who sees things around them and it's not always so easy but sadiq is someone who struggles in their life and yet overcomes it's not just someone who lives an ascetic in the forest all by himself that sadiq is someone who lives in this world struggles with real struggles and overcomes them that's why he's at sadiq the torah tells us these things to teach us that we too it's normal it's normal to be drawn to different things but we should strive to be like you're safe you're right we're drawn to different things we have the ability though to overcome them and we too can rise to the level of yosef [Music] you
