[Music] i'd like to thank schneidemyomi for inviting me to be a guest lecturer uh we're going to be doing this week parties feiera together and before we start i just want to give a little bit of a hezek for all of you who are learning shnaya mikra [Music] the simon in chochanara in which the halacha of shnayamikra is found spells rafa which means weak and unfortunately the mitzvah of shnaymikrav has become by many a very uh sore topic because it's something that even though it's a it's a clear halachan many people unfortunately do not do it and it became very weak in the hands of claudius and thank god for uh schneider myomi and all of the wonderful people behind this effort who are enabling claud israel to not be weak in this mitzvah but to be strengthened and i am proud to be a part of this uh of this effort by joining this week in parshas daira parshas vayera is an action-packed parsha we have the angels visiting abramovino and then we have a dramatic rescue of light and his family from saddam then we have the birth of yitzchak avino and then of course finally and that's the the real centerpiece of the parasha the climax of the parsha is akidas hitchcock the sacrificing of abram his son yitzhak the first aliyah speaks about hashem paying a visit towramavino visiting him after he was very weak with the brismillah that he received and on the third day that was the day that he was weakest hashem came to bhumibakirchola to visit the sikh which is a mitzvah that we follow in hashem's ways with and all of a sudden avraham avinu notices three men presumably men but really we know that they were angels and they came to visit they were passing by abramovino invited them into his tent after asking hashem if he could please just go and perform the mitzvah and hashem of course allowed that which is quite interesting these were angels in disguise but avraham avino allowed them into his tent and and was very hospitable him and his wife sarah prepared a lavish meal for them and then they told abramovino the wonderful news about the birth of yitzchak who would be born exactly a year from that date they were also there to notify varmavino about the looming destruction of saddam and what happens is that um the uh when avraham avinu and sarah was informed of the fact that they would be giving birth to a baby uh sarah who was 89 years old at the time laughed and hakareshparkho was angry by that laugh and that is the end of the first aliyah [Music] you
